In application-layer DoS/DDoS attacks, malicious users attack the victim server by sending lots of legitimate requesting packages, which overwhelm the server bottleneck resources. Normal user’s request thus may not be satisfied. The traditional intrusion detection systems for network-layer cannot effectively identify this attack, and recent researches on this kind of attack are mainly for Web servers. This paper proposed a new defense algorithm based on user activity for topic-based Pub/Sub communication servers in mobile push notification systems. Users consuming system bottleneck resources the most can get high scores and thus are considered overactive. With some resource retaken strategy, overactive users’ connections will be dropped according to system performance level. Therefore, the system can get rid of latent threatens. Experiments indicated that this algorithm can identify normal and abnormal users well.

In this paper, a new method using wavelet packet energy spectrum to identify transformer inrush and internal fault current was proposed. Wavelet packet transform respectively decomposed inrush and fault current, then calculated the energy of each frequency band of decomposed signal. Finally, the conclusion showed that the energy of internal fault in high frequency band is much less than that of inrush. The difference was quantified and it could be observed intuitively. Through extensive simulations, this paper proves that the method in terms of identifying transformer inrush is accurate and effective.

Using 663-tin bronze, Ni, W, nanoAl2O3, MoS2, graphite, CaF2, and Ni coated graphite as the matrix alloy powder, in which copper-coated carbon fiber of 5%, 7%, 9%, 11% and 13% in volume fraction were added as the reinforcing phase, a novel type carbon fiber/copper-matrix self-lubricating composite materials was prepared by means of powder metallurgy. The results indicate that the mechanical properties of the composite materials are improved after adding copper-coated carbon fibers. The composite materials reach optimal overall mechanical performance under testing when the volume fraction of the added copper-coated carbon fibers is 11%.: with a hardness of 57.8 HV and a compressive strength of 222 MPa. The addition of carbon fiber also improved the friction and wear properties of the composite materials. Increasing the volume fraction of fiber, was found to increase the wear resistance and improve self-lubricating performance. A volume fraction of 11% gave a friction coefficient of 0.09 and abrasion loss of 4mg.

A thermodynamic model of calculation of sulfur distribution ratio between B2O3-containing slag and molten steel has been developed on the basis of the ion and molecule coexistence theory. Based on the model, the effects of B2O3 content and slag basicity on the sulfur distribution ratio in 1873K were investigated respectively. The results indicate that the sulfur distribution ratio decreased with increasing the content of B2O3, and when the content of B2O3 exceeds 6%, the sulfur distribution ratio was lower than 2.0. Therefore, in order to ensure the desulphurization ability of slag, the content of B2O3 should be controlled at about 6%. Moreover the sulfur distribution ratio can be increased by increasing the slag basicity.

Based on the direct reduction alloying theory, experiments on chromium molybdenum alloy prepared through the direct reduction and alloying reactions between the high-carbon ferrochrome and molybdenum oxide were conducted in a laboratory scale. The critical factors that would impact the reduction rate of molybdenum oxide and the yield rate of molybdenum were analyzed. The results indicate that the reduction rate of molybdenum oxide can exceed 90%, meanwhile, the yield rate of molybdenum is affected by many factors and fluctuates in a wide range. As temperature rising, the reduction rate of molybdenum oxide is increased whereas the yield rate of molybdenum is decreased. With the amount of molybdenum oxide added increasing, the reduction rate of molybdenum oxide and yield rate of molybdenum are decreased simultaneously. Making slag during melting process and molybdenum oxide roasted by addition of lime are effective measures to improve the yield rate of molybdenum.

It is known that a stakeholder analysis is a strong tool to identify and adjust groups with different interests upon the proposed reform. However, it is not a handy approach to conduct a stakeholder analysis of EV spread in China. This is due to that the information about different stakeholders in China is not entirely available. Interviews to the stakeholders in China have not been carried out as a result of short project period and area limit. Therefore, this stakeholder analysis will not be able to fulfill the frame that was described in the method chapter. Some of the judgments will be based on estimation. To mark the level of support from different stakeholders, we will give 5 grades to each in a form of ++, +, 0, -, -- instead of the method of 0-100 as it is rather difficult to achieve that precision.

Based on the railway tunnel engineering, the research on comprehensive technological for the monitoring of tunnel construction is performed. It is shown that the deformation of wall rock would mainly suffer the comprehensive influence of multiple factors like type of the wall rock, construction method and supporting measures, size of the excavated section, etc. through the monitoring of the crown settlement, clearance convergence and ground settlement. The wall rock will be stable within 20d and 40d after the tunnel excavation. And the secondary tunnel lining could be constructed. Numerical simulation method was also adopted to analyze the deformation and stress of the wall rock. It is presented that the construction interval shall not be too long for the stability of wall rock. Therefore, the numerical analysis method and site monitoring method could be used together to achieve more comprehensive and reliable monitoring of tunnel construction.

Low permeability of fast-growing eucalyptus wood restricts its high value in use. In order to explore effective ways of improving the permeability of eucalyptus wood, the method of applying microwave radiation to Eucalyptus urophylla (Eucalyptus grandis×Eucalyptus urophylla) is used to promote its rapid evaporation of water, by which vapor pressure highly increases inside, then vapor bubbles break through the weak points of the wood tissue, as a result, the permeability of the wood is improved. Under the same conditions, wood was tested to achieve the results of water absorption rate (WAR) and water loss rate (WLR) in water sorption measurement and saturated suction drying experiment respectively, after which the permeability, the modulus of rupture (MOR) as well as the modulus of elasticity (MOE) of the test wood are recorded. The results show that the WAR and WLR of the microwave treated wood is higher than that of the untreated wood. Thus it is concluded that microwave radiation can improve the permeability of urophylla wood. But the time of microwave pretreatment has a significant effect on the WAR and WLR, which may be associated with lower microwave power and the variability of the tested material. MOR and MOE of the test material did not change significantly after the microwave treatment.

Digital watermarking technology has already been used for secure data aggregation in wireless sensor networks. However, most of the existing watermarking technologies are irreversible, and the embedded watermark will cause some damage to the data collected by sensors. In this paper, we proposed a novel distributed reversible watermarking technology based on an improved difference expansion scheme. Due to the hierarchical clustering architecture organized according to LEACH protocol, a distributed self-organized mechanism is established within clusters for the watermark generation. The whole watermark is split into several segments and the watermark segments are assigned randomly to different sensors within a group. In addition, a pair of synchronized random sequence generators is applied on both the sensors and the sink to fresh the data.

At first, two ontologies are partitioned based on improved ROCK clustering. Then we adopt block matching strategies based on taxonomy and anchors, and obtain matching results. Finally, we present experimental results with high matching quality and point out future possible research directions.

As inner cooling grinding can break the closure of grinding area and solve practical engineering problems resulting from too high grinding temperature, it can be used to realize the grinding of difficult-to-machine materials, such as Titanium alloy, in a general machine such as M7130. An inner cooling grinding wheel, a grinding carriage and cutting fluid system are the key parts of a inner cooling grinding system, and an inner cooling grinding wheel must be fixed on a plain grinder by a grinding carriage, so this paper mainly studies how to design and manufacture a tooling for an inner cooling grinding wheel, which has simple construction and reliable performance. Grinding experiment shows it can dramatically reduce cutting temperature and effectively avoid grinding burn, thus grinding quality is improved.

Water/toluene interfacial self-assembly of nanostructures is a powerful bottom-up approach for film fabrication because of the low cost and high efficiency, and it is a simple and universal method for almost all low-dimensional nanostructures. The method involved adding alcohol and then toluene (here the dispersant was itself alcohol, only toluene was added) into SiO2 nanoparticle dispersion, and then a large quantity of distilled water was rapidly poured into the mixed system. Simultaneously, nanoparticles in the dispersion were extracted to the water/toluene interface, forming a thin film with a nearly perfect hexagonal close packed phase. Large-area nanoparticle monolayer films (e.g., more than 20 cm2) could be prepared in less than 1 min. The close-packed structures of these thin films were verified by a field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM, Hitachi S-4800, Japan). We also investigated the whole process of forming the films and found out the mechanism of water-induced interfacial assembly. As for the specific kinetic mechanism of the fabrication process, it is expected to further study in later time.

SIFT (Scale invariant feature transform) and correlative algorithms are now widely used in content based image retrieval technology. They compute distance and use neighbor algorithm to look for the optimal matching couples. The disadvantage of such way is high complexity, especially when huge amount of images need to be retrieved or recognized. To solve this problem, a new matching way based on feature space division under multi-scale is proposed. The algorithm will divide the feature space under multiple scales, so that those feature points which are located in somewhere can use a code to represent, and finally realize the matching through the code. Without calculating distance, the algorithm complexity is greatly reduced. Experiments show that, the algorithm keeps the matching accuracy and greatly enhance the efficiency of the matching at the same time.

The five double layer cylinder reticulated shells (single diagonal rod cylinder reticulated shell, Foeppl cylinder reticulated shell, double diagonal rod cylinder reticulated shell, lamella cylinder reticulated shell and three way grid of cylinder reticulated shell) are developed by adopting the upper and lower translation method. Five connection forms of web member (cross truss, positive four pyramidal, upend four pyramidal, evacuated positive four pyramidal, evacuated upend four pyramidal) and the methods of the node generation and element connection are established in the cylindrical coordinate system. By using the ANSYS parametric design language APDL, the corresponding parametric design macro program is developed so that the five double-layer cylindrical shells can be parametrically modeled under the given parameters such as shell type, shell span D, rise high t, thickness h, length L and number of grids m and n, etc. Examples prove that this method is simple, efficient and pragmatic, which provides great convenience for the force analysis and the optimization scheme comparison.

This paper presents a preliminary idea for sensing the deformation of ion-conductive polymer metal composite (IPMC) actuator based on current detection. This method is based on the principle that the impedance of the IPMC actuator is correlated to its bending curvature. Experimental results on the relationship between actuating voltage, current and deformation are presented. It is shown that there are phase differences among these three variables. And it is further shown that within a certain range of deformation, there is a correlation between the impedance and the deformation. The findings suggest it is possible to design a novel way to detect the output feedback of IPMC actuator.

Color of grape berry changed a lot during ripening that might reflect the maturity of table grape. In this study, the color difference of Kyoho grape skin was analyzed by CR-400 chroma meter, and the value of L*, a* and b* were measured at different stages of maturity. The results showed that the value of L* and b* decreased along with maturity, which reflected in the color of the grape skin turning darker and bluer. In addition, the value of a* increased continuously until 80% maturation and then decreased after this stage of ripeness. Results of correlation analysis showed that the value of L*, a*, b* and maturity were highly correlative (p < 0.01). Maturity was significant negatively related to L* and b*, and positively related to a*. There was negative correlation between a* and L*, b*, while significant positive relation between L* and b*.

For differences of time-domain energy distribution of different gear fault vibration signal, an analytical method based on local mean decomposition (LMD) and least squares support vector machine (LS-SVM) is proposed to apply to gear fault diagnosis. First vibrational signal of gear is decomposed into a series of product functions (PF) by LMD method. Then extracting energy characteristic parameters of PF components which contain main fault information to constitute a fault feature vectors, which is considered as input sample of well-trained LS-SVM, and then identifying working state and fault type of different gear can be identified accurately and effectively by diagnostic method based on LMD and LS-SVM.
