In this paper we have build a new composite bar with polypropylene honeycomb core reinforced with steel wire mesh. We have loaded this bar in several variants and we have recorded the stress per unit mass values. Then, we have loaded various metallic beams in the same way and we record for them the stress per unit mass values. In the end, we will highlight the strength increase or decrease if we use the composite bar instead of the classical metallic beams.

Metal rubber material is a mesh structure woven by wire (metal rubber called MR), a new type of isolated-vibrated material with elastic rubber property [1, 2]. Static mechanical properties of MR are discussed in this paper. First of all, this paper introduces load-displacement function of micro element spring. And a constitutive model of MR is proposed. Secondly, this paper discusses how different parameters such as wire diameter and relative density influence energy dissipation. Also, compared the theoretical results with the experimental results in order to test the accuracy of the theory.

This paper investigates the flexural performance of plain concrete beams bonded with wire mesh-epoxy composite. A total of four beam specimens were prepared and tested. Three specimens were bonded with same amount of wire mesh-epoxy composite with varying composite width and one plain concrete specimen was used as a control. The effect of wire mesh-epoxy composite on enhancing the flexural behaviour of concrete beams as well as the effect of different configurations of composite was studied. Test results showedthat the wire mesh-epoxy composite increased the flexural strength of concrete beams. The increase in energy absorption of bonded beams was remarkable. In addition, specimen with large composite width showed better behaviour with respect to energy absorption capability.

The high strength stainless steel wire mesh and high-performance mortar reinforcement has been gradually applied in construction, bridge reinforcement project. Study of the reinforcement at home and abroad mainly focus on research of strengthening RC beam shear, bending, and seismic performance. Although the application of RC column has already been carried out, there is also a short of basic technical an applied research for further study. After looking through a large amount of references, this article gives a summary of the present study about reinforcing RC column with the reinforcement, draws some conclusions and predicts the prospect of development.

This paper analyzes the influence degree of related design parameters of wire-mesh frame wallboard on deformation through finite element program, providing theoretical basis for the design and test of steel wire rack energy-saving wallboard.

Based on the experimental study of shear strengthened of reinforced concrete rectangular beam strengthened by high-strength steel wire mesh and polymer mortar , the finite element extended analysis was used. The finite element analysis software showed that with the increasing of the strand dosage and reinforcement strand length,the shear strength and stiffness of strengthened members improved . However,with the increasing of shear span ratio , the shear strength and stiffness reduced obviously .

Because of high temperature above 1000°C on fire, and Oxidation of carbon fiber at high temperature, fireproofing measure should be make to take advantage of inorganic adhesive for slabs strengthened by carbon fiber sheet bonded with the adhesive. The problem of which fireproofing material should be choose and how to make fireproofing measure needs to resolve. Fireproofing test is make for slabs strengthened by carbon fiber sheet bonded with the adhesive protected by Thick-typed Fireproof Coating for steel structure (TFCSS) and Thick-typed Fireproof Coating for tunnel (TFCT). Typical damage state of the two typical coating is compared during and after fire, Temperature field of slab specimen is analyzed, and fireproofing effect is compared. The test results indicate that, steel wire mesh in the middle of coating layer can prevent coating from falling fully, so steel wire mesh is necessary for fireproofing coat which is not too thick. under the protection of fireproof coating with proper construction, TFCT and TFCSS can supply effective fireproofing protection for carbon fiber sheet, but the former is inferior to the latter because the latter is easier to drop and crack in fire. So, TFCT with steel wire mesh can supply the most effective protection for slabs strengthened by carbon fiber sheet bonded with the adhesive.

This paper makes some experiments on steel wire rope terminal fixture connection in strengthening with steel wire mesh and polymer mortar, discusses the performance of terminal fixture connection and the analysis of the experiments and dates show that: The connection of the three aluminium-alloy swaged ferrules with the same arranged for steel wire rope or two wire rope grips meet the design requirements of rules and regulations, and three wire rope grips can give full play to the high tensile mechanical performance of steel wire rope.

In this paper, we research wire mesh and polymer mortar strengthening of the wire rope end which use MLJ building structural adhesive anchorage in experiment. This text discusses the building structural adhesive for wire rope anchorage performance, through the experiment and data analysis showed that the modified structural adhesive anchorage cable can give full play to the wire rope high strength properties.

There are many kinds of external wall thermal insulation, such as wire mesh, rock wool board external insulation, powder particles of polystyrene insulation slurry, and EPS exterior insulation, etc. Among all these technologies, the technology of EPS external insulation composite wall is applied more and more in China. This article aims at the research of the EPS external thermal insulation composite wall structure and the relevant construction technology.

According to the force condition of wire mesh frame wallboard under seismic action, finite element program is used to conduct the deformation simulation analysis of 12 test pieces under different working conditions, obtaining the influencing factors that affect the deformation of wire mesh frame wallboard under vertical seismic action, which offers theoretical foundation for the design of wire mesh frame wallboard.

In order to enhance the shear capacity of reinforced concrete (RC) beams more efficiently, a thought to strengthen concrete beams by using steel bar/wire mesh mortar was proposed. A comparison experiment study on shear behavior of two kinds of strengthening RC beams(namely steel bar mat(S)mortar strengthening, and steel bar / wire mesh(SW) mortar strengthening) was carried out. The experimental results show that SW strengthening can keep the advantages of a better dispersion of reinforcement due to the addition of wire mesh, leading to a much higher initial diagonal crack load, and a better control to the crack propagation of the strengthened beams. The initial diagonal cracking load and the shear capacity of SW strengthened beams are 83% and more than 30% higher than those of S strengthened beams respectively, while the reinforcement ratio of the formers is only 22% higher than that of the laters. The working mechanism of SM mortar strengthening was discussed.

In order to select the optimal reinforcing material to reinforce structural lumber for timberwork, the properties and mechanics of experimental samples made by galvanized steel wire mesh and GFRP reinforced wood from Chinese plantation were analyzed. The experiment results showed that two kinds of reinforcing materials could reinforce lumber, and galvanized steel wire mesh had better mechanics than fiberglass mesh. Furthermore, the glued structural lumber had enough bonding strength which was fit to make structural composite lumber for timber bridge.
