The trawler winch is a main winching tool in the fishing operation of trawler. The disturbing influence of various factors such as sea wind and waves, change in the size of the catch and the turning of the fishing vessel during the operation of the trawler will cause unbalanced force on the wire rope of the two winches, which will easily cause the deformation and damage of the fishing net facilities and directly affect the improvement of the fishing yield and increase the harvest. In order to compensate for the change of the tension of the winch tractor during the operation of the trawler, the change of the load tension caused by the wave, or the rotation direction of the fishing vessel, and to ensure the good shape of the net opening, an electro-hydraulic control technology was used to design an automatic trawler tension controller. The tension control method of the trawler is investigated. The tension sensor is used as the input information of the electrical signal of the trawler's left and right trawler, which is measured indirectly and transmitted to the controller for logical operation, and the output torque of the hydraulic motor is changed by controlling the pilot overflow, which drives the trawler winch to adjust the tension of the left and right trawler to achieve the dynamic balance of the control system. In order to solve the problem of the tension of the trawl and the influence of the length change on the trawl, we designed an intelligent control system combining PLC control system and hydraulic system and used AMEsim hydraulic simulation software system to model and simulate it, the results show that without PLC control the torque of hydraulic motor 1 is 2387.7NM, the torque of hydraulic motor 9 is 2148.64NM the difference is 239.06 NM uneven force on both sides of the trailing platform, after adding PLC adjustment torque is obviously controlled torque to maintain about 2300NM, within a certain range to play a reliable adjustment effect.

This paper introduces the rapid automatic control module of trawler based on the hydraulic system of ‘Zhejiang fishery scientific research ship No.2’.The hydraulic simulation model of double motor winch system is built in AMESim software, and SIMULINK module in MATLAB software designed closed loop fuzzy PID controller for hydraulic system simulation. through fuzzy PID control technology drives the hydraulic winch to quickly adjust the tension of the traction, maintain the stable balance of the traction force, maintain the optimization of network horizontal expansion, not only improve the fishing efficiency, but also timely and effective protection mesh. the technical achievements formed by the research will enable small and medium-sized trawlers to adjust the tension under various working conditions through the fuzzy PID control system to stabilize the opening shape of the trawl, so as to improve the automation level and fishing efficiency of related trawling equipment, and provide technical support for precision fishing.

Informal learning is an important part of active learning in higher education. It is of great significance to create a good informal learning space for higher education. However, the current design of university buildings is lack of quality informal learning space. This paper analyzes the relationship between complex network analysis and student behavior, and finds that there exists a close relationship between them. The spatial structure has the essential impact on the distribution of the informal learning. The construction of streamline system places an important role in the formation of learning space network. The density of the network relationship is not a key factor, but the relationship model presents more important. The cohesion of network plays an important role in the formation of spatial network of learning. In the network structure, since the groups with cohesion power are capable to convey the information even faster, the regeneration inside the groups can be achieved through the flow of resource/information.

The paper has taken a fly ash of power plant in southern China as the research object, in view of the fly ash were modified, the research of the modified fly ash on the experimental study of nuclide uranium adsorption of uranium tailings. A modified fly ash and B modified fly ash were prepared with a-zeolite while using Na2CO3 and NaOH as intercalated material respectively. By changing the pH, initial U(VI) ions concentration, temperature of environment, and contact time, the best conditions of adsorption was selected out. By comparing the properties of two different modified fly ash composites, it is not difficult to find that the theoretical adsorption capacity of U(VI) is higher and the removal rate of U(VI) is higher than that of U(VI). Therefore, modified fly ash B had a better adsorption performance.

In this work, vertically aligned titania nanotube arrays (TNTs) were fabricated on Ti surface in fluoride-containing electrolytes by anodization. TNTs were treated by hydrothermal treatment in the saturated solution of [Cu(NH3)4 (H2O)2]2+. Different hydrothermal treatment conditions were studied to obtain the best modification effect in the experiment. The TNTs were loaded with alendronate and ibuprofen via vacuum drying method and the release properties from the nanotubes were detected in phosphate buffer solution (PBS). The samples were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The data show that copper is successfully doped to the nanotube surface by hydrothermal treatment, and the optimum hydrothermal treatment conditions are 200°C, 0.5h. The drug loading capacity of the modified sample increased obviously, whether it was hydrophilic or hydrophobic. Meanwhile, the modified nanotubes release more slowly in the later stage. This approach provides an alternative to tailor the surface of TNTs and offer considerable propects for diverse biomedical applications.

Analytical models of vibration exciters and shakers are of great importance to their dynamic analysis and control. Furthermore, the modeling of the drive torque/force of the driving principle plays a key role in the modeling of an entire driving system. This paper aims to find a more detailed analytical model of the electromagnetic drive torque on the permanent magnet with a new shape in a novel driving mechanism. The proposed model contains all the related parameters instead of treating them as only one variable. Two methods of the permanent magnet installation are firstly introduced and compared. Based on the magnetic charge model, torque models of the bipolar cylindrical permanent magnet and partial bipolar cylindrical permanent magnet are then obtained. Thereupon then the final model with a composite shape is gained by combining the cylindrical and partial cylindrical ones. Moreover, all analytical models are verified by finite element method and it is found the final detailed model can characterize the electromagnetic drive torque in a high accuracy.

To suppress the abrupt and unexpected turning velocity fluctuation of the industrial robot under the condition of trajectory tracking, a flexible robotic joint experimental setup with the harmonic drive was established. The measured friction with Stribeck effect and velocity were modeled by a simple polynomial fit method. Two friction compensation control strategies of feedforward and feedback were designed. The friction compensation experiments were carried out on the dSPACE system, the good restraint effect of fluctuation on the turning velocity was verified and the control accuracy of feedback compensation control strategy proved better.

This paper aims to investigate the slip ratio of induction motor at different working condition of pumping gasoline. An experiment platform is set up to do the contrast experiment. The results show that a peak of slip ratio about 22% occurs at speed of 675r/min, when gasoline is pumped under the minimum opening of nozzle. But this phenomenon doesn’t appear at pumping testing fluid D80. The slip ratio of pumping testing fluid D80 is no more than 8%, while that of pumping gasoline is at the range of 9.5% to 22%. Though explanations are given to explain some phenomenon, the reason why a peak occurs at pumping gasoline needs more investigation.

Notched fiber-mental laminates are susceptible to damage. Nowadays, damage detection mainly depends on visual inspection and C scan. But the two methods are limited to the technical skill of the inspectors, causing missed detection or even fault detection. This paper devotes to exploring the DIC monitoring technique to assess of the damage process taking place in notched (open hole) specimens under uniaxial tensile loading. Two-dimensional (2D) Digital Image Correlation (DIC) techniques are employed to obtain full-field surface strain measurements of GLARE3-3/2 and GLARE6-3/2 laminate with an open circular hole under tensile loading. Failure modes,damage initiation and progression of notched fiber-metal laminates are characterized and discussed.

The dispenser is a fuel pumping and measurement device used in the service station. During the refueling process of volatile liquid, the cavitation phenomenon occur easily due to the large flow rate. The serious cavitation will not only reduce the pumping efficiency, produce loud work noise, but also aggravate the pollution of oil and gas and the energy consumption of the system. Therefore, it is necessary to control the maximum flow rate of the pump. Based on this problem, this paper firstly designs a new flow control valve, and a method of mathematical modeling is proposed to analyze the flow field distribution and the working principle of the whole device based on Euler equation and Bernoulli equation. Then we combine this new hydraulic device to the variable frequency dispenser, a new design of the dispenser structure and a control mode of the maximum flow are proposed. The theoretical research shows that the maximum flow can be limited by optimizing diameter ratio of that flow control valve.

The development of market economy has put forward new demands to the logistics. However, the traditional artificial decision has been unable to meet the demand of the market. Under the rapid development of Internet of things and information technology, the application of new technology in logistics vehicle scheduling makes it more reasonable, also, reduce the logistics cost. On the basis of traditional logistics vehicle scheduling process, the paper designs a framework of logistics distribution system from ontology view, combined with the application of ontology and agent in the logistics vehicle scheduling and material scheduling. Then, it sets up the vehicle scheduling system model based on the multi-Agent, to analyse the process of mutual cooperation between agents if they complete the task together. Meanwhile, the paper also establishes a communication mechanism based on the blackboard system, to further analyse the cooperation mechanism between Agents.

In light of urgent requirement of onboard ballast water treatment, a novel wall-flow structure porous ceramic filter (PCF) has been applied with combination of UV light in our laboratory works. According to the strict criteria of International Maritime Organization (IMO) on ballast water treatment, removal efficiencies on indicator planktons should be almost 100% even at high initial densities. However, the treatment efficiencies of PCF may be greatly affected by operational conditions of the system. Hence response surface methodology (RSM) was used to evaluate the significance of the operational factors on algal removal efficiencies. Based on our previous works, flow rate, algal density and algal size were considered as three key conditional factors during PCF treatment. These three individual factors and interactive effects between each two facts were studied statistically by Minitab 15. Also, experimental studies were arranged according to full factorial design of a 6L PCF on simulated ballast water treatment at different flow rates, algal densities and algal sizes. By computational prediction and mathematical analysis, the operational conditions were optimized with first order derivation of predicted model. And by doing so, the utmost optimization was estimated to achieve higher performance of PCF system.

According to the working principle of the lifting film shovel for the residual plastic film of bed planting, the structure of the lifting film shovel was designed. Based on the soil dynamics model, the finite element analysis of the static strength of the lifting film shovel was carried out by using ANSYS software. The results show that the stress and deformation of the lifting film shovel increase with tilt angle, and the maximum stress point is on the edge of the mounting holes. When the tilt angle is 46°, the maximum stress is 82.4 Mpa, and the maximum deformation is 0.901 mm. The effects on the hilling height of the travelling speed of the equipment, the tilt angle of the lifting film shovel and the number of the bars were researched by the orthogonal regression experiment of three factors and five levels. The results of the experiment indicate that the effect of tilt angle on the hilling height is larger than that of the traveling speed of the equipment and the number of the bars, and the structure parameters and operating parameters were optimized by the experiment, thus, the optimal tilt angle of the lifting film shovel is 260 and the optimal number of the bars is 2.

The stability of slope in open-pit affects the economic benefits and safety production of mining enterprises. From the two aspects of internal factors and external factors, this paper analyses the factors affecting the slope stability of open-pit, discusses the basic theory of slope stability analysis, and puts forward the criterion of slope stability based on the safety coefficient. The limit equilibrium method is chosen to analyze the stability of the high and steep slope of open-pit in this paper, and the SLIDE software is used for numerical simulation according to the actual slope model of certain open-pit. The simulation results show that the slope safety coefficient of the instance is 1.01, which is unstable slope. When the number of the slope blocks is more than 40, the safety coefficient tend to be stable. Blasting vibration has a great influence on slope stability. The results of slope stability analysis provide a scientific guidance for the prevention and control of the slope instability.

Facility management in metro station is an important content of the operation stage, relates to people's daily travel safety, and needs to be more efficient and reliable. At present, the research and application of BIM in the design and construction stage has made great progress in the domestic, but the research of BIM in operation stage is still in the exploratory stage. Through the investigation, this study analyzed the demand of the facility management in metro station, proposed data requirements to build operation model of a metro station, established a framework of BIM-based platform on facility maintenance management in metro station, and expected to provide a more efficient and reliable digital means for facility management in metro station. The results of this study were applied in a metro station in Shanghai, and obtained the ideal effect.

In order to support characters of data acquisition system of smart grid, such as scalable and plug and play, one configurable node of sensor network was proposed. The number of protocol standard, the number of interface of each protocol standard, the number of senor of each interface and the number of byte of each sensor can be configured in this node. All these parameters can be configured according to the specific application of smart grid and then achieve the best balance between cost and performance. One real model was implemented by VHDL and the number of protocol standard, the number of interface of each protocol standard, the number of sensor of each interface, the number of byte of each sensor can be configured in the range from 1 to 8. The correctness and validity of this real model were confirmed by simulation results of configurable level and one application instance.

In the present work, the embedded-type TiO2/magnetic activated carbon (TiO2/MAC) photocatalysts were prepared. The MAC support was manufactured by one-step method and the TiO2coated on the surface of MAC was prepared by sol-gel method. Its crystalline structural properties, morphology, magnetic performances and pore texture were characterized by XRD, SEM, TEM, ultraviolet-visible absorption spectra (Uv-vis), vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM) and N2adsorption isotherm. Characterization results showed that TiO2was highly dispersed on the surface of MAC support in the form of anatase with a particle size of 10 nm. Obtained TiO2/MAC photocatalysts were applied to treatment of contaminant phenol in aqueous solution. The phenol removal percentage by TiO2/MAC photocatalyst is as high as 94% after three cycles. In addition, photocatalytic degradation of phenol in water was examined using TiO2/MAC photocatalysts. The results show that 4wt% Fe3O4was suitable to prepare the support of TiO2/MAC composite. The phenol removal percentage by TiO2/MAC photocatalyst is as high as 94% after three cycles. However, the adsorption capability of photocatalyst disappears after six cycles, while its phenol removal percentage via photodegradation is still as high as 60%. Meanwhile, the used TiO2/MAC photocatalyst after six cycles still maintains good magnetic stability because the majority of magnetic particles are embedded into the bulk of carbon matrix. And the embedded structure could still meet the requirement of magnetic separation by an external magnetic field.

Most of the product design on the market is variant design or adaptive design, which need to reuse existing product design knowledge. A key aspect of reusing existing CAD model is correctly define and understand the design intents behind of existing CAD model, and this paper introduces a CAD model annotation system based on design intent. Design intents contained all design information of entire life cycle from modeling, analysis to manufacturing are marked onto the CAD model using PMI module in UG to improve the readability of the CAD model. Second, given the problems such as management difficulties, no filter and retrieval functions, this paper proposes an annotation manager system based on UG redevelopment by filtration, retrieval, grouping and other functions to reduce clutter on the 3D annotations and be convenient for users to view needed all kinds of annotations. Finally, design information is represented both internally within the 3D model and externally on a XML file.

At present, use of computer aided engineering (CAE) software is rapidly expanding in the manufacturing industry. However, the CAE software is not an easy tool to use because of its versatility and amount of expertise required to understand and evaluate simulation results. So the operation is more complex, and the error rate is higher in the engineering analysis. A CAE Intelligent Assisted Expert System (IAES) that supports Finite Element analysis was proposed and implemented. The CAE IAS is implemented based on VS2012 development environment, which is based on case and rule based reasoning. It is used to guide and assist CAE engineers to analyze the project, so that the accuracy and efficiency of the analysis are greatly improved and the product performance is better optimized.

Because of different working frequencies, the coherent transmitting mode and other factors, the IF signals form satellite simulator are difficult to fix on the same frequency, which affects the generality of satellite simulator. This paper uses the Doppler extraction technology and software radio technology to study the coherent transmitting of carrier signal. It makes the IF acquisition stick to 70MHz and ensures the uplink & downlink carrier signals coherent. At last the generality problem is solved.

Austenitic stainless steels always failure in intergranular corrosion, stress corrosion cracking and their synthesis. Moreover, hydrogen also plays an important role in SCC. Effects of sensitization and hydrogen on stress corrosion cracking of 18-8 type stainless steel (304 and 304L) were investigated in this paper. Three states of specimens, including as-received, sensitization and hydrogen precharged, were prepared for this study. Two kinds of environment, involving air and 0.5mol H2SO4 +0.01mol KSCN solution, were selected to compare the SCC sensitivity of different condition of 304 and 304L by the slow strain rate tensile test (SSRT). Fracture morphology was observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM) to check the SCC fracture characteristic. In SEM, evident secondary cracks were found on the fracture surface of 304. Results showed that: 1) hydrogen precharged 304L has high SCC sensitivity (85.7% ) compared with low SCC sensitivity in solution (14.5%), which reveal that SCC of 304L is hydrogen-induced cracking type; 2) 304 stainless steel has high SCC sensitivity (60.8%); 3) sensitization increases the SCC sensitivity of 304 stainless steel (from 60.8% to 71.4%).

The A508-III steel is widely used to manufacture the lower heads of commercial reactor pressure vessels (RPV). In severe accident, the reactor core in the RPV begins to melt and meanwhile the technology of in-vessel retention (IVR) exerts its role. In this case the inner surface of RPV will expose to temperatures over a phase transition temperature. However, the significant nonlinear feature of creep curve of A508-III steel suffered heterogeneous damage was not studied. In this work, the creep tests were performed for the steel at the phase transition temperature of 800°C. The microstructural evolution at different creep stages was characterized by scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The results show that, at the second creep stage, more coarsening second phase particles occur in the steel. With the creep processing, the grain size and diameter of second phase particles increase. At the tertiary creep stage, the grain size increases significantly, and the second phase particles coarsen during the process of atom migration. In addition, Micro-cracks and voids also come into being in the situation and they can become larger by combing each other during the creep process. At this stage, the growth of cavities and second phase particles coarsening become the main mechanism of creep damage. The trend of microstructural evolution is consistent with the creep constitutive equation obtained for the A508-III steel at the phase transition temperature of 800°C. The results obtained provide indispensable foundation to establish the relationship between the macroscopic creep and microscopic damage.

Nimonic 80A Ni-base superalloy can be used for high temperature steam turbine components.There is a critical requirement for turbine blade application that the stress rupture strength for 105 hrs at relevant high temperatures should be higher than 100MPa.On the other hand, it must keep good structure stability and no harmful phase such as-phase and the TCP phase formation at long time high temperature exposure. Therefore, the long time stress rupture tests at temperatures of 600, 650, 680 and 700°C for different stresses have been carried out. The long time structure stability has been also studied in detail. The results show that Nimonic 80A can meet the critical requirement for USC steam turbine blades at 600~700°C. Any detrimental phases have not been found at the long time stress rupture tests. The morphology of grain boundary carbides also has no apparent change. Based on above mentioned results, Nimonic 80A is recommended to be used for USC steam turbine components in the temperature range of 600~650°C.

Owing to the extremely rapid tool wear, ultra-precision manufacturing of mold steel through single point diamond turning (SPDT) operation becomes a challenging task. Molecular dynamics (MD) simulation is an appropriate tool to study nanoscale processes occurring at the femtosecond/picosecond timescale. The wear mechanism of the diamond tool is discussed by means of molecular dynamics in which atomic position variation, temperature fluctuations were involved. According to the analysis results, iron atoms have unpaired d electrons, these iron atoms may connect with diamond carbon atoms through chemical bonds which are the driving force to the diamond removal and making diamond convert into graphite. The simulation results demonstrated that, it is possible to mitigate the wear of diamond tools effectively, if those bindings between unpaired d electrons and diamond carbon atoms of the tool can be under control.

In the fuzzy evaluation process of the power quality, different membership function scan lead to different results, which affect the credibility of the evaluation. In order to avoid subjectivity of choosing membership function, a combined membership function based on the Variance-covariance optimized combination method is proposed. Firstly, five typical member-ship function is selected after the deeply analysis of the power quality data. Secondly, weights of each function are calculated by the variance-covariance optimized combination method, and then a combined membership function of general applicability is constructed according to the weights. Thirdly, the fuzzy evaluation is performed by using this combined membership function. Finally, an application of this combined membership function in the fuzzy evaluation of power quality of a power supply bureau shows that this function can improve credibility of three valuation result.

Virtual manufacturing is based on information technology, simulation technology and virtual reality technology. It can obtain many kinds of information by the aid of virtual environment. Before the design and manufacture of the product or system, virtual manufacturing can help people experience the performance and assembly relations of future product. Thus it can help people make decision and optimization scheme predictably.

Auxetic materials exhibit uncommon behaviour, i.e. they will shrink (expand) laterally under compression (tension). This novel feature has attracted intense research interest. However, most of previous works focus on auxetic behaviour in either compression or tension. Most of the auxetic materials are not symmetric in tension and compression under large deformation. Studies on the auxetic performance of metamaterials both in compression and tension are important but rare. As an extension of our previous research on compressive auxetic performance of 3D metallic auxetic metamaterials, numerical simulations were carried out to investigate the auxetic and other mechanical properties of the 3D metallic auxetic metamaterials in tension. The preliminary results indicated that the designed 3D metallic auxetic metamaterials exhibited better auxetic performance in compression than in tension. By increasing a pattern scale factor, auxetic performance of the 3D metallic auxetic metamaterials under tension can be improved. With proper adjustment of the pattern scale factor, an approximately symmetric auxetic performance could be achieved in compression and tension.

The need to simplify the construction issues of complex structures leads to definition of SmartNodes project as a research which aims to confine the complexity of structure to a limited area (nodes) in order to decrease processing steps and labor intensity by application of additive manufacturing (AM) techniques. Bi-Directional Evolutionary Structural Optimization (BESO) is used to design efficient and elegant nodal connections of large scale spatial structures and minimise the volume of nodes to be printed and to ultimately replace welded, forged and cast connections by 3D printed connections. The prototypes discussed in this paper demonstrate BESO design process through two generic cases.

The performance of a metamaterial is dominated by the geometric features and deformation mechanisms of its microstructure. For a certain mechanism, the geometric features have bounds in which the performance of a metamaterial such as negative Poisson’s ratio (NPR) can be designed. Previous investigation on buckling-induced auxetic metamaterial revealed that there is a geometric limit for its microstructure to exhibit auxetic behaviour in infinitesimal deformation. However, the limit for auxetic metamaterials undergoing large deformation is different from that under small deformation and has not been reported yet. In this paper, the geometric limit was investigated in an elastic and infinitesimal deformation range using linear buckling analysis. Furthermore, experimentally validated finite element models were used to identify the geometric limits for auxetic metamaterials undergoing large deformation. Depending on the control parameters of the topology, the bounds were represented by a line strip for one control parameter, an area for two control parameters and spatial domain surrounded by a 3D surface for three parameters. The limit was determined by the shape and size of the void of the metamaterials and it was identified through the large deformation analysis as well as the linear buckling analysis. We found that there was a significant difference in the geometric bounds obtained through those two methods. The results from this study can be used to design an auxetic metamaterial for different applications and to control the auxetic performance.

Recently, unmanned vehicle (UV) research has increased its popularity around the globe not only for military applications but also for civilian uses. For military fields, UVs can enhance homeland defense, carry out coast and air surveillance, counter terrorists and most importantly, reduce harm to the manned force when certain mission may contain threat. As a consequence, UVs become an inevitable part of the Navy Force and extend the Navy mission handling capabilities. When it comes to research, UVs can be used to observe the climate, deliver goods, perform undersea testing, etc. But the open environment is dynamic, unforeseen and fast changing. Thus, a UV which has the ability to choose the optimal path autonomously based on the current situation not only can increase the efficiency of the UV, but also can save costs and time for the users. As a result, increasing the autonomy of the UV has attracted the attention of many researchersin recent years. Our research is based on the Markov chain Monte Carlo simulation model. We develop a simulation model architecture so as to realize collision free path planning and path optimization of an unmanned vehicle.

With the excellent settle ability and high-porosity structure, aerobic granular sludge was regarded as one of the promising biotechnologies in wastewater treatment. Developed about one decade ago, it was exciting research work that explored beyond the limits of aerobic wastewater treatment in eliminating a wide range of pollutants from the aquatic environment. On account of recent researches for removing heavy metals such as Cu (II), Pb (II), Cd (II) and cadmium (VI), a supposition that using aerobic granular sludge as a biosorbent for heavy metals removal from wastewater is put forward. This paper sketches certain correlative characteristics of aerobic granules, including settle ability, extracellular polymeric substance and biological parameters, discussed its feasibility for heavy mental removal, and finally lists a series of preceding studies on treatment of heavy metals by aerobic granular sludge.

This paper introduced a new modular multi-level converter (MMC), which could enhance the voltage and power level by sub-converter modules in series and was easy to extend to any level of output. Its structure and working mechanism were described. By analyzing the performance of STATCOM based on MMC working conditions in the reactive power compensation, this paper studied compensation control theory in reactive changing conditions. To obtain compensation control response speed faster and better compensation effect, a compensation control strategy was proposed based on direct current control mode. The simulation results show the strategy has a better tracking precision and response speed for the reactive power compensation.

Age classification based on facial images is attracting wide attention with its broad application to human-computer interaction (HCI). Since human senescence is a tremendously complex process, age classification is still a highly challenging issue. In our study, Local Directional Pattern (LDP) and Gabor wavelet transform were used to extract global and local facial features, respectively, that were fused based on information fusion theory. The Principal Component Analysis (PCA) method was used for dimensionality reduction of the fused features, to obtain a lower-dimensional age characteristic vector. A Support Vector Machine (SVM) multi-class classifier with Error Correcting Output Codes (ECOC) was proposed in the paper. This was aimed at multi-class classification problems, such as age classification. Experiments on a public FG-NET age database proved the efficiency of our method.

In view of diesel engine wear fault feature extraction, feature extraction of diesel engine wear fault based on Local Tangent Space Alignment (LTSA) was put forward. This paper analyzes LTSA algorithm which reveals the characteristics of manifold learning. Take diesel engine fault diagnosis test rig as example, vibration information was got through imitating different kinds of diesel engine wear fault. LTSA algorithm was applied for dimensionality reduction. LTSA algorithm’s classification performance was compared in accordance with recognition rate of multi-class SVM. The experimental results show that LTSA has high recognition rate and is a very effective feature extraction method for diesel engine wear fault.

The article makes analysis of the latest research situation and development tendency of several typical enhanced heat transfer tubes, such as spirally corrugated tube, transversely-ridged tube, corrugated tube and converging-diverging tube, as well as comparing their enhanced diathermancy respectively. Therefore, the author’s research will have positive effect on energy utilization efficiency.

The lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) is considered as an alternative scheme to the standard Navier-Stokes approach. To simulate the high Reynolds number turbulence, several approaches based on LBM have been proposed. Among them, 5 approaches including the direct numerical simulation, dynamic subgrid scale model, inertial range consistent subgrid model, very large eddy simulation and entropic lattice Boltzmann method are discussed in detail. Features including improvements and shortcomings of each approach are presented. Whats more, application prospects of these approaches in high Reynolds number turbulence simulations are pointed out.

This paper presents a methodology for solving unit commitment (UC) problem for thermal units integrated with wind power and generalized energy storage system (ESS).The ESS is introduced to achieve peak load shaving and reduce the operating cost. The volatility of wind power is simulated by multiple scenarios, which are generated by Latin hypercube sampling. Meanwhile, the scenario reduction technique based on probability metric is introduced to reduce the number of scenarios so that the computational burden can be alleviated. The thermal UC problem with volatile wind power and ESS is transformed to a deterministic optimization which is formulated as the mixed-integer convex program optimized by branch and bound-interior point method. During the branch and bound process, the best first search and depth first search are combined to expedite the computation. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated by a ten unit UC problem.

To reduce the resource consumption in traditional software IPv6 Internet protocols based on embedded system, a data transmission hardware scenario of reduced IPv6 protocol with optimized cache structures based on the FPGA is designed using Verilog HDL. This scenario implements the function of the Transport Layer and the Network Layer on FPGA and uses the function of the Data Link Layer and the Physical Layer on the DM9000A chip, which can perform stateless auto-configuration, address resolution, echo response and UDP transmission. To improve the transmission efficiency, a low-resource-consumption and self-managed cache structure is designed to manage the Neighbor Cache, the Prefix Table and the Default Router Table. In the IPv6 network test, the design can configure itself and its data rate exceeds 28Mbps, which can realize real-time video stream, audio stream and other data transmission in Network of Things applications in IPv6 network.

In this paper, dynamic responses on radiation energy intensity of inert gas are simulated in use of software ANSYS / LS-DYNA when inert gas is stimulated by explosion of solid propellants to emit visible light. The effects for the visible light energy intensity emitted by inert gas are analyzed on different initial pressures in the inert gas container and with different igniting methods by propellants. Simulation results show that, the bigger initial pressure in the container is, the higher the peak value of visible light energy density intensity is and the better the effect of the visible light emitted by inert gas is. There are fewer effects on the peak value of visible light energy intensity emitted by inert gas with different igniting methods. However, it has an impact on the stability when inert gas emitting visible light. The stability is the best when central point of the propellant column is ignited.

EMU gearbox is a key component of high-speed train, the reliability of the gearbox will directly affect the operational safety of EMU. The box of EMU gearbox is with light alloy materials, bearing structure, so the box is subjected to greater loads and shock and vibration. Designers most take into account the static strength and stiffness of the box, ignore the fatigue failure. Fatigue failure is the leading cause of mechanical structural failure, while the peak load cycle fatigue failure is often far less than estimated in accordance with the static fracture analysis "safe" load, so the EMU gearbox box’s fatigue analysis is needed. Combining high-speed EMU gearbox actual operating conditions, using finite element method to do fatigue analysis of the gearbox box while the analysis result is evaluated and amended by the Smith schematic analysis method.

VIsual Background Extractor (VIBe) is a simple and effective background subtraction model, it is important to choose the threshold according to different environments. A new method based on the VIBe is presented which uses the adaptive threshold. We give a new description of the similarity degree without threshold, and then use the energy minimization model to combine the spatial information and show that dynamically choosing threshold in our kernel estimates at each individual pixel can significantly improve results. To compare with the traditional VIBe algorithms, a synthetic test SABS and a real world test I2R are used. Experiment shows that the presented method is on average 10% better than the traditional VIBe in accuracy.

The poor scavenging process of the hydraulic free piston engine which uses two-stroke engine as its driver was presented. A two-cylinder, four-stroke diesel engine was proposed to drive the single-piston hydraulic free piston engine to improve the scavenging process. The intake and release valves mechanism and fuel injection system were redesigned to adapt the performance of the single-piston hydraulic free piston engine. Feasibility and reliability of this new structure are verified through simulation.
