The output power of Direct Methanol Fuel Cells (DMFC) is one of the most important elements which limit the performance of DMFC. In order to enhance performance of DMFC, it is necessary to have model to modeling the output power of DMFC. In this paper, a novel model base on Support Vector Regression (SVR) to modeling the output power of DMFC base on output current (I) and operating temperature (T). The test result is shown that the generalization ability of SVR model is high accuracy. This investigation suggests that SVR is quite satisfied used to developing a DMFC model and can be used for controlling, optimal designing and feasibility study of the DMFC system.

This study evaluated the cooling properties of summer cooling towels of different brands by studying the liquid moisture management behavior. All the samples were found to provide a cooling effect at first contact after being wetted. The samples of Perfect Fitness showed the highest cooling effect followed, whereas N-rit, Cooldyxm and Ice Towel samples had the poorest cooling effect. Through this study, the general cooling effect of summer cooling towels in the market can be compared which provide some idea to the consumer for product selection.

Informal learning is an important part of active learning in higher education. It is of great significance to create a good informal learning space for higher education. However, the current design of university buildings is lack of quality informal learning space. This paper analyzes the relationship between complex network analysis and student behavior, and finds that there exists a close relationship between them. The spatial structure has the essential impact on the distribution of the informal learning. The construction of streamline system places an important role in the formation of learning space network. The density of the network relationship is not a key factor, but the relationship model presents more important. The cohesion of network plays an important role in the formation of spatial network of learning. In the network structure, since the groups with cohesion power are capable to convey the information even faster, the regeneration inside the groups can be achieved through the flow of resource/information.

This paper presents a new type of modeling framework for complex dynamical systems based on cell mapping. The systems considered are difficult in modeling by physical principle due to complex mechanism. By the method of data driven, the cell mapping model is constructed and the modeling objective is describing statistical dynamic trajectory for this kind of complex system, which overcome the difficulties found in mechanism modeling. Firstly, the clustering of operation modes is achieved by Self-Organizing Data Analysis Techniques Algorithm (ISODATA). Then, a cell division measure is obtained by the clustering result, which is different from the regular partition in other measures. Meanwhile, each class bound is treated as a cell bound, and hence the dynamic trajectory of complex systems is described by the cell mapping. Finally, a simulated experience illustrates the feasibility of the proposed approach.

Large-scale coordinate measurement frequently involves unifying coordinate frames of individual measurement systems by aligning two sets of common reference points, which is called coordinate transformation. During this transformation process, some uncertainty is introduced into the final measurement results from common points. This paper studies the relationship between this introduced uncertainty and common points in order to minimize it. First, an uncertainty estimation model of coordinate transformation is developed to quantify the introduced uncertainty. Then the relationship between the introduced uncertainty and the arrangement of the common points is simulationally and experimentally investigated and some feasible and efficient arrangements are proposed in view of minimizing it.

Under non-uniform magnetic field distribution, the humping ferro-damp used to reduce the oscillation of ferro-wave is investigated. Through experimental observation and analytic analysis, the dynamical stability at the so called “humping pool”, enclosed by both centers of permanent magnetisms, is found to be closely dependent on the oscillating frequency, field intensity & the separated distance of magnetisms. Though nodal shift of pool 0.07~0.11 cm, recorded from video-camera suited on self-designed oscillating system, begins to occur as in the deployment of higher ferro-level or lower field strength 0~ 30 mT, however such the stable response of humping pool, without remarkable change of vibrating amplitude 0.03 ~0.06 cm, might be under control while oscillating frequency of 0.5~2 Hz is subjected. That could be attributed to the concentrated ferro-viscosity as well as the strongest ferro-magnetization, induced at the humps, initiates a recovering constrain for oscillating pool. Unlike above humping damp accessed, an irregular and random ferro-profile will be generated outside pool region. Such humping deployment, as a manner of shockproof, might be utilized to reduce the seismic damage and that makes damping analysis of seismic study become more practical and approach to the intended demand.

The self-mixing interference (SMI) effect with multiway feedback is analyzed in this paper. The basic theory of SMI with multiway feedback external cavity (MFEC) can be derived from the theory of interference as well as the theory of laser self-mixing interference (LSMI). Based on the external cavity structure with MFEC, a SMI model with two feedback external cavity structure is proposed. The expressions of the phase and output power in the MFEC are deduced and some simulation analyses are made. It is found that the output signal of the SMI system with two external cavity is sinusoidal or sawtooth waves, which is similar to the signal of SMI with a low frequency sinusoidal phase modulation. The density of interference signal fringes is uneven in one period and the shape of the interference wave is determined by the intensity of the external feedback. Furthermore, a SMI with two feedback external cavity experiment system is considered, and the experiment verifies the simulations.

This paper presents a high-resolution real-time 3D coordinate measurement system based on multi-angle intersection and cylindrical imaging. The measuring angle is detected by the linear camera equipped with cylindrical lenses, whose field of view is a 3D space rather than 2D plane. This camera has prominent advantages in precise coordinate measurement and dynamic position tracking due to the high resolution and outstanding frame rate of linear CCD. Each camera is a 1D angle measuring unit which confirms an angle thereby a plane passing through the light spot. With three cameras arrangement in front of the measurement field, the 3D coordinate of the light spot can be reconstructed by multi-angle intersection. An accurate and generic calibration method is introduced to calibrate this camera. The proposed calibration method is based on nonparametric ideas to find the mapping from incoming scene rays to photo-sensitive elements, and this method (black box calibration) is still effective even if the lens distortion is high and asymmetric. It is applicable to a central (single viewpoint) camera equipped with any lenses. The proposed calibration method is applied to the 3D coordinate measurement system. The coordinate measurement accuracy of the designed system is better than 0.49mm.

As the heart of generator, stator bar’s production quality will directly influence the whole generator’s quality. We researched heating and solidification process of stator bar at the beginning to clarify the relationship between heating time and temperature. BP neural network toolbox in MATLAB platform was used to build neural network model which will relatively accurate estimate bar’s resistance with four process parameters. Through the resistance, people can find out the best technological parameters before actually production. We used some data collected from one factory as learning data. Others were test data, used to illustrate the rationality of the model, which can forecast insulation resistance value in later production, finding the optimal process parameters.

The concept and the primary preparation method of functional gradient materials are described in this paper. Functional gradient material is prepared as a tool electrode by electrochemical method and its performance is further tested in the micro electrical discharge machining (micro-EDM) experiments. Compared with the homogeneous material electrode, the functional gradient material electrode can effectively inhibit the wearing of the tool electrode and improve the distribution trend of current density during the micro-EDM process. The results disclose the prospects for functional gradient material to be used as tool electrode in the micro-EDM process.

In this paper, the polymer precursor derived ceramic (PDC) method, that was used to fabricate the silicon carbide (SiC) ceramic composite coatings on metallic substrates, was briefly summarized. Two different fabrication mechanism of ceramic coatings by PDC method were mainly introduced. One was that Al powder as the active fillers converted into AlN due to the action with N2. The other was that Al powder as the active fillers converted into Al2O3 due to the action with O2. So fabrication mechanism of ceramic coatings by PDC method would be still the research focus in the future. Compared with the other methods, the advantages and disadvantages of PDC method preparing ceramic coatings were displayed. According to the existent problems and future development direction of PDC method, the key research objectives were presented.

The technology of high voltage electrostatic field has been used for food processing in recent years, especially for thawing and freezing of food. However, the application of this technology on food cooking is still in the initial development stage. Although there are a little applications of food cooking using high voltage electrostatic field in some restaurants in Taiwan area, the corresponding study is very scarcely. This study describes mechanism, principles and devices of electrostatic cooking of food, as well as results of some electrostatic cooking experiments. Obviously, the high voltage electrostatic technology can be beneficial for food cooking, and the effects of sanitery and health of electrostatic cooked food are important for human body.

Characteristics and forming causes of the cracks in welded joint of 15Cr1Mo1V steel serviced 70000h are investigated by mechanical and chemical testing and crack morphology observation. Results show that the cracks initiate from welded metal or coarse grain heat affect zone (CGHAZ) near fusion line, and there are three kinds of defects observed in the crack region, which are macrocracks, microcracks and voids. According to the forming position, process and morphology of the cracks, it is estimated that the cracks are a kind of stress relief crack (SRC). The main reasons of the cracking are because of residual stress caused by improper temperature field during post welding heat treatment, strong stress concentration caused by welding structure, additional stress caused by abnormal hangers & supports and decreased ductility of welded joint in service. The SRC in welded joint can be avoided through optimizing the welding process and postweld heat treatment(PWHT) process to ensure enough critical ductility deformation ability εc and avoiding and reducing stress concentration and additional stress to decrease ductility deformation εP of welded joint which make εc>εp consistently.

Resource restrictions and carbon restrictions are posing a challenge to corporate sustainable development. Therefore, enterprises will be able to become more competitive by enhancing their research and development of green technology as well as environmental performance. Taiwan is a high-tech island featuring the highly-intensive manufacturing, and Taiwan’s manufacturing industry is actively developing the green management. This study proposed the environmental performance indicators integrating five aspects: green product design, green product recycling, green manufacturing management, environmental protection and environmental management. A total of 239 valid questionnaires, collected from various manufacturing industries, were the research subjects to investigate their environmental performance. The study found respondents performed the best in environmental protection while the worst in green product recycling, and especially got the lowest score in the “Using biodegradable materials” indicator. The environmental performances of research subjects were positively correlated to their enterprise scales. However, the environmental performances of various industry categories showed no significant differences between with each other. The overall environmental performances of the enterprises that implemented ISO 14001 and 14064 certifications were significantly higher than those without certifications. These results indicate that the environmental management system could improve the environmental performance in manufacturing industry.

The paper presents experimental investigations on cold-formed steel (CFS) wall plate system. The behavior and the modes of failure of the system under uplift were studied. The parameters tested were the presence of gaps and the thickness of connecting plates. Results showed that samples with and without gaps at the supports experienced the same failure mode. Failure began with the yielding of connecting plates followed by the buckling of C-channel. Similar ultimate capacity was also obtained for samples with and without gaps. When connecting plates of different thicknesses were used to connect the wall-plate, different modes of failure were observed. Instead of yielding in the connecting plates, screw pull-out was observed in the connection before the C-channel buckled. Besides, it was observed that the ultimate capacity of the system was reduced when thicker connecting plates were used. It is not conservative to estimate the capacity of screwed connection according to the design standard and it is proposed that the capacity of the wall plate system is taken as the yield capacity of the connecting plates of the same material properties.

Based on the traffic network in Henan province, the accessibility index is designed by using the population weighted average of inverse of time distance to evaluate the influence of the high-speed railway system on the city accessibilities, and the perfection degree of highway traffic system in the region. The results show that by the early 2016, the accessibility indexes generated by the highway traffic system have the characteristics of normal distribution with relatively obvious differences between cities and relatively unbalanced distribution pattern. The construction of high-speed railway has largely improved the city accessibility levels along the railway lines, makes overall provincial accessibility increasing more than 33.51 percent, and shortens the distance between the accessibility center and population distribution center. However, there is still long distance between them, as the southeast and southwest part in the province with very poor accessibility levels, which should be improved by further perfecting the highway traffic system in these areas in order to maintain a balanced regional economic development.

Due to the impact of global climate change on land use, water resources and environment in Taiwan, the utmost essential move to do now is to refer to the experience and practices of advanced countries that help guiding the development of land and water resources conservation orderly. Secondly, the purpose of this paper is to discuss Taiwan’s flooding and water resources management issues. Finally, the paper would review the impact and adaptation strategies in response to climate change on Taiwan’s water resources to serve as a reference for relevant decision-making units of government. This paper believes that only if all residents jointly participate in reducing and adapting to the impacts caused by climate change can we avoid the possible survival crisis in the future.

This study introduces a direct and intuitive method to resist certain apps from sending SMS message stealthily. According to the heuristic analysis and observation, it is apparently that a SMS message, which has the textual content originated from user's entering manually, is obviously benign. We use this principle to design a serious of SMS examination and verification procedures, in order to force all SMS messages to be verified automatically before delivering them actually. A package named as Taurus, which is comprised of several new components, are developed in the Android framework in this study. The evaluation shows that Taurus, which examines all outgoing and detects potentially malicious SMS messages, has an excellent performance with reasonable memory usage overhead.

Research of ABS and PP were mixed design, preparation and formulation of gold for the production process, performance test. Discussed in PP - g - MAH as computerize of cases, in the process of ABS blended with PP, ABS/PP blend formulas and the determination of process parameters is analyzed. Through performance test and analysis different composition ratio of computerize on the ABS/PP alloy performance impact. Finally concluded that, in the ABS/PP/PP blend - g - MAH, when PP-g-MAH is 4, 16 for PP, the impact of the blend with good performance, thermal deformation temperature is increased.

Microalgae protein hydrolysates (MPH) were obtained by enzymatic hydrolysis of defatted microalgae meal using neutral protease. The protein recovery, degree of hydrolysis, and the antioxidant activities of the hydrolysates were investigated. The results demonstrated that hydrolysates prepared by neutral protease at 50 °C for 4 h exhibited the strongest antioxidant activity. Under these conditions, the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), hydroxyl radical scavenging activity and the reducing power of the hydrolysates were 68.3%, 50.8% and 1.303, respectively.

In this paper, we study the maximum independent set problem under fuzzy uncertainty environments, which aims to search for the independent set with maximum value in a graph. First, credibility theory is introduced to describe the fuzzy variable. Three decision models are performed based on the credibility theory. A hybrid intelligence algorithm which integrates genetic algorithm and fuzzy simulation is proposed due to the unavailability of traditional algorithm. Finally, numerical experiments are performed to prove the efficiency of the fuzzy decision modes and the hybrid intelligence algorithm.

Simulate rain experiment method was adopted to study the transformation of the change of raindrop speed and diameter with time and the results indicated that the rain intensity change strongly with time at the natural rainfall, However, the rain intensity was stability at simulate rainfall. At the natural rain, the raindrop speed mainly at 0.4-6.6m/s in different time, it have two wave crest were 1m/s and 3.4m/s. However, at the simulate rain, the raindrop speed mainly at 0.2-5.8m/s in different time; it has one wave crest was1m/s.In natural rain and simulate rain, the 0.125mm diameter raindrop speed were about at 0.4-2.6m/s and0.8-5.8m/s, the 0.25mm diameter raindrop speed was about at 0.6-2.6m/s and 0.6-5.8m/s, the 0.375mm diameter raindrop speed was about at 1-1.8m/s and0.4-2.2m/s, the 0.5mm diameter raindrop speed was about at 1-3.4m/s and 0.2-1.8m/s, the 0.75mm diameter raindrop speed was about at 3.4-4.2m/s and1-3.4m/s, the 1mm diameter raindrop speed was about at 3.4-4.2m/s and 1-3.4m/s, the 1.25mm diameter raindrop speed was about at4.2-5m/s and1-5m/s, the 1.5mm diameter raindrop speed was about at5m/s and 2.6m/s.

A kind of 10KV power distribution network fault indicator integrating measurement and communication functions was researched and developed. Used in 10KV power distribution overhead lines, this indicator is also designed with the communication module, current and temperature measurement module in addition to having the function of plate turning indication in case of grounding or short circuit fault. Through a wireless communication mode, the fault or measurement information is sent to the nearby data terminal unit, which sends the data to the monitoring center through the GPRS network. Workers will know the working status of the whole power distribution network in a real-time manner through the computer of the monitoring center. By adopting the ATmega8L MCU as the core, the new type of fault indicator realizes the wireless data transmission function through NRF24L01.

The microstructure of 40CrNi2Mo steel matrix strengthened with wear resistance alloy is observed by the optical scope, SEM with EDS and FESEM. Analysis emphasis is lied on the distribution regulation of nanosized WC particulates in the microstructure of the steel matrix. Experimental results show that the method of adding wear resistance alloy in steel matrix can avoid gravity segregation phenomenon effectively and guarantee a uniform distribution of WC in steel matrix. nanosized WC particulates distributing evenly in steel matrix improve the wear resistance, and make microstructure of the steel matrix more uniform, finer and denser proved by its high-expansion micrograph.

In this experiment black soybeans as raw materials,different factor on black beans polyphenol extraction yield influence,and studied the polyphenols antioxidant activity through establishing DPPH· system,·OH system and reducing power system,and compared with Vc. The result showed that:the optimum extraction conditions were the ratio of liquid to Solid was 32:1,ethanol concentration 48%,time 95min,temperature 90 °C.In these conditions, the yield of polyphenols was 8.953mg/g. The scavenging effects of polyphenols and Vc on DPPH·, ·OH force increased with increasing concentration,and the scavenging effects of polyphenols on DPPH· and ·OH higher than Vc when between in 11~31 μg/mL.When concentration is more than 12μg/mL,the scavenging effects of polyphenols on ·OH is higher than Vc.

In order to improve the vehicle alone path finding way, put forward a kind of road navigation algorithm based on agent. First put forward the intelligent design method, and then the intelligent design is mapped to different kinds of the intelligent agents. And then expounds the function of operation control agent, agent, Lane agent and intersection agent needs to realize. Finally, based on these agents of the navigation algorithm is designed using Dijkstra algorithm.

During construction, some large equipments should be connected with the equipment above. The traditional way is to use cranes for assistance to lift the equipment below up to connect with the equipment above. But for some equipments with large weight and limit operation space, traditional way will be completed with strict operation requirement and high cost. In addition, sloshing may happen during connection. The paper designs a circular jacking method according to actual construction situation to reduce the shortage in the traditional way.

In this paper, the problem of adaptive synchronization in pth moment is considered for stochastic complex networks with time varying delayed and no-delayed couping. By using the Lyapunov Krasovskii functional, stochastic analysis theory, sufficient condition to ensure adaptive synchronization in pth moment for stochastic time varying delayed complex networks is derived. To illustrate the effectiveness of the synchronization condition derived in this paper, a numerical example is provided finally.

SiO2-coated phosphors of Ce0.67Tb0.33MgAl11O19(CTMA) were prepared by the sol–gel method in order to enhance thermal stabilities. The phase structures, microstructures and luminescence properties were studied by the X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) and fluorescence spectrometer respectively. The emission intensity of SiO2-coated Ce0.67Tb0.33MgAl11O19phosphor was little lower than uncoated phosphor. After baked at 600°Cfor 6h, the coated CTMA showed good thermal stabilities. The luminance performance of SiO2-coated phosphor is 93% compared with the unbaked CTMA, which is improved 10% in contrast to uncoated.

Clouding computing and virtualization technology have brought immense effects to software organizations including software testing region. At the same time the method and related technology will be changed a lot. Some concepts, structures and characters are described in this paper. Software testing should be regarded as a service. Four typical patterns of cloud testing and the relations among them are showed in the paper. Combined with the virtualization technology, the frame of TaaS (Testing as a Service) is defined too. In the meantime, cloud testing and traditional software testing is compared with each other. At last, the main research contents about software testing in virtualization environment are summarized.

The dynamic parameter model based on cellular automata was not taken into account interaction between pedestrian and environment,it resulted in quite different from that of in real life.So a new model was proposed by taking into account one of the interactions:repulsion.In the present work, evacuation involving repulsion problem was studied in the room with single exit.The expanded model based on dynamic parameter model is introduced by using the quantitative of repulsion.The model could be used to explore the different degree of panic through repulsion.The corresponding simulations of pedestrian evacuation with repulsion were carried out. It extends the constraint where the original model was applied. The improved model is more accordance with actual circumstance than the original dynamic parameters model.The improved model is not only expected to model evacuations in detail but also has high efficiency. The surface of much equipment that employed in petrochemical industry is always damaged by corrosion. As a novel technology, laser-high frequency induction hybrid cladding is an effective surface modification technology. Processing parameters, such as laser power, laser scanning speed and induction heating temperature, play an important part in the structural integrity of the coatings. The effects of these processing parameters to cladding integrity were investigated in this paper. Nickel base alloy (Ni60A) claddings were fabricated on the surface of low alloy steel by the way of laser-high frequency induction hybrid cladding and coaxial powder feeding. Macroscopic appearance and porosity of the claddings were systematically investigated by optical microscopy. The corrosion resistance of specimens manufactured by the optimum processing parameters is evaluated in 3.5% NaCl solution by electrochemical test. As the change of processing parameters, the width, height and porosity of laser claddings had an obvious change. Optimum processing parameters was determined because of the overall performance of the claddings. A good metallurgical bonding between Ni60A claddings and substrate was shown by microstructure. The results of the polarization curves turned out that the corrosion resistance of the Ni60A cladding is apparently better than the matrix.

Quantum dots (QDs) exhibit unique response of photoluminescence (PL) in response to mechanical deformation, which makes it possible to use QDs-epoxy resin composite in strain monitoring. In this work, gradient concentric rings consisting of QDs are prepared via the evaporation of chloroform droplets on pre-cast QDs/PMMA films, in which rigid spheres are used to pin the chloroform droplets and control the motion of the contact line of the chloroform droplets. Both the distance of adjacent rings (wavelength) and PL intensity are dependent on the size of rings and the thickness of the precast QDs/PMMA films. Using the gradient concentric rings consisting of QDs on the surface of a tensile bar of 304stainless steel, it is found that the distance of adjacent ring varies with tensile strain. This result demonstrates potential applications of self-assembled structures made of QDs in non-contact detection of mechanical deformation.

The discovery of the variation of the photoluminescence (PL) intensity of quantum dots (QDs) with mechanical deformation has stimulated the interest of developing QDs-based structures for the measurement and monitoring of stress or strain. In this work, tensile bars with the coating of QDs-epoxy composite are subjected to cyclic loading and unloading tests, and the PL intensity of the coating of QDs-epoxy composite is measured as a function of mechanical strain. There are four types of responses in the PL intensity, depending on the loading condition. Transmission electron microcopy is used to examine the rearrangement of QDs in the coatings before and after the tensile tests for understanding the change in the PL response.

In order to determine the stress corrosion cracking susceptibility of NiCrMoV steel welded joint of low pressure nuclear steam turbine, long time immersion tests had been carried out in the form of cylindrical tensile specimens self-loaded to various applied load (0, 0.3YS, 0.6YS and 0.9YS) and exposed in the simulated environment with 180°C, 3.5% NaCl. Coarsen grain heat affected zone reacted preferentially as anode in welded joint, which was caused by the synthetic effects of micro-galvanic corrosion, much more precipitations of carbides and higher content of Cr element. Preferential local corrosion of coarsen grain heat affected zone with the formation of occluded corrosion cell accelerated corrosion rate. In addition, the dissolution rate also increased as the applied load increased.

This paper is based on completed the design of the main structure of the fumigation treatment bed according to the size of the human body’s structure. And the solid modeling of each part is carried out in the CATIA environment. Then the working process of the fumigation bed is simulated by using the virtual prototype module of CATIA software. Using the FLUENT flow field analysis software to analyze the temperature field and velocity field of the fumigation tank’s inward under different conditions. With setting different variables in each condition gradually optimize the temperature field and velocity field in the fumigation tank’s inward.

Through the analyze and the research of seismic resistance of wooden structural, which summarized its characteristics, the seismic strengthen of tenon joints , seismic performance research status and aseismatic constructions. Pointed out that is a emphases to wooden seismic performance, and combine the earthquake damage in Wenchuang province, sum up the experience, put forward the corresponding opinions and suggestions which let wooden structural used better in China.

Currently, there are various research methods for soil macropores in vadose zone of well vegetated slope. They include theoretical and experimental research methods, which are water breakthrough curve and tension infiltrometer, dying and slicing. The emerging and noninvasive technique of CT and NMR technology break through many bottlenecks for soil macropores study that have many advantages such as nondestructive, accuracy, comprehensiveness, quickness compared to traditional methods that have disadvantages of destructive, qualitative and the accurate results , but themselves possess significant shortcomings, for example, operation need professional technology and high expense that restrict the popularize and apply. Combining with many years of research experience of the author in macropore, based on theoretical and experimental methods, this paper introduces the commonly used methods in macropores study and their advantages and disadvantages. In the end, the existing problems were discussed and the future research was put forward.

Three-dimensional 3D modeling, surgery simulation and face prediction of the maxillofacial soft and hard tissue has a great significance for the study of facial growth and development, diagnosis and treatment of facial deformity and postoperative face prediction and treatment evaluation. Based on maxillofacial 3D modeling and measurement analysis, real-time variable model is set up. In virtual environment, image feedback, force and tactile perception in combined together surgical simulation. The generalised finite difference method (GFDM) is a mesh-free method for solving partial differential equations (PDEs) in non-structured grids. Due to its strong theoretical background and simplicity, hence efficiency, it has been introduced to handle interesting and sophisticate engineering problems. However, the GFDM has not been applied to problems associated to dynamics of porous media yet. In these problems, the strong coupling between solid displacements and liquid pressures may cause large numerical oscillations if equal order interpolation functions are used for both variables. Nevertheless, some fractional steps techniques can be introduced in order to minimise these problems. In this contribution, a fractional steps scheme is developed and applied to the GFDM in order to model fully saturated porous media dynamics. Simulations of 1D and 2D wave propagation are performed in order to reveal the advantages, drawbacks and capabilities of the proposed method.
