Flotation deinking is one of the most widely used techniques for the separation of ink particles from cellulose fibers during the process of paper recycling. It is a complex process influenced by a variety of factors, and is difficult to represent and usually results in models that are inconvenient to implement and/or interpret. In this paper, a comprehensive study of several machine learning methods for the prediction of flotation deinking performance is carried out, including support vector regression, regression tree ensembles (random forests and boosting) and Gaussian process regression. The prediction relies on the development of a limited dataset that assumes representative data samples obtained under a variety of laboratory conditions, including different reagents, pH values and flotation residence times. The results obtained in this paper confirm that the machine learning methods enable the accurate prediction of flotation deinking performance even when the dataset used for training the model is limited, thus enabling the determination of optimal conditions for the paper recycling process, with only minimal costs and effort. Considering the low complexity of the Gaussian process regression compared to the aforementioned ensemble models, it should be emphasized that the Gaussian process regression gave the best performance in estimating fiber recovery (R2 = 97.77%) and a reasonable performance in estimating the toner recovery (R2 = 86.31%). Document classification is an important area in Natural Language Processing (NLP). Because a huge amount of scientific papers have been published at an accelerating rate, it is beneficial to carry out intelligent paper classifications, especially fine-grained classification for researchers. However, a public scientific paper dataset for fine-grained classification is still lacking, so the existing document classification methods have not been put to the test. To fill this vacancy, we designed and collected the PaperNet-Dataset that consists of multi-modal data (texts and figures). PaperNet 1.0 version contains hierarchical categories of papers in the fields of computer vision (CV) and NLP, 2 coarse-grained and 20 fine-grained (7 in CV and 13 in NLP). We ran current mainstream models on the PaperNet-Dataset, along with a multi-modal method that we propose. Interestingly, none of these methods reaches an accuracy of 80% in fine-grained classification, showing plenty of room for improvement. This review analyzes the most influential artificial intelligence (AI) studies in health and life sciences from the past three years, delineating the evolving role of AI in these fields. In traditional construction safety assessment, it is difficult to describe the safety status of different construction stages. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a digital twin modeling theory for construction safety assessment. Firstly, this paper analyzes the requirements of a digital twin model. Secondly, the required information is collected by IoT. Finally, the DT model is established based on the collected information. This DT model analyzes the collected information by ML, which aims to conducting the assessments of construction safety. To verify this method, this paper analyzes the vault settlement during tunnel construction. The analysis results show that the DT model can predict the settlement value with high accuracy. Softness is one of the essential properties of hygiene tissue products. Reliably measuring it is of utmost importance to ensure the balance between customer expectations and cost-effective tissue production. This study presents a method for assessing softness by analyzing acoustic emissions produced while tearing a tissue specimen. The aim was to train neural network models using the corrected results of human panel tests as the ground truth labels and to predict the tissue softness in two- and three-class recognition tasks. We also investigate the possibility of predicting some production parameters related to the softness property. Bearing fault diagnosis for equipment-safe operation has a crucial role. In recent years, more achievements have been made in bearing fault diagnosis. However, for the fault diagnosis model, the representation and sensitivity of bearing fault features have a great influence on the diagnosis output results; thus, the attention mechanism is particularly important for the selection of features. However, global attention focuses on all sequences, which is computationally expensive and not ideal for fault diagnosis tasks. The local attention mechanism ignores the relationship between non-adjacent sequences. To address the respective shortcomings of global attention and local attention, an adaptive sparse attention network is proposed in this paper to filter fault-sensitive information by soft threshold filtering. In addition, the effects of different signal representation domains on fault diagnosis results are investigated to filter out signal representation forms with better performance. Finally, the proposed adaptive sparse attention network is applied to cross-working conditions diagnosis of bearings. The adaptive sparse attention mechanism focuses on the signal characteristics of different frequency bands for different fault types. The use of generative learning models in natural language processing (NLP) has significantly contributed to the advancement of natural language applications, such as sentimental analysis, topic modeling, text classification, chatbots, and spam filtering. With a large amount of text generated each day from different sources, such as web-pages, blogs, emails, social media, and articles, one of the most common tasks in NLP is the classification of a text corpus. This is important in many institutions for planning, decision-making, and creating archives of their projects. Many algorithms exist to automate text classification tasks but the most intriguing of them is that which also learns these tasks automatically. In this study, we present a new model to infer and learn from data using probabilistic logic and apply it to text classification. This model, called GenCo, is a multi-input single-output (MISO) learning model that uses a collaboration of partial classifications to generate the desired output. It provides a heterogeneity measure to explain its classification results and enables a reduction in the curse of dimensionality in text classification. Experiments with the model were carried out on the Twitter US Airline dataset, the Conference Paper dataset, and the SMS Spam dataset, outperforming baseline models with 98.40%, 89.90%, and 99.26% accuracy, respectively. Most academic researchers use the academic information system when they want to write a reference, such as a related research for a paper. Specific classification rules are applied based on vast amounts of data and the latest references to classify and search keywords. Meta information is designed for specific classification rules and search results are restructured. The search results can be classified and rearranged to suit academic research paper keywords by applying the restructured classification system and the LDA-based topic modeling technique. To implement this, the ElasticSearch classification method and topic-based LDA model were applied to extract the characteristics of academic papers in this study. Stable topics that could detect topic estimation and keyword search results within the minimum time were extracted to classify the paper search results. Albeit in different ways, both machine learning and gamification have transfigured the user experience of information systems. Although both are hot research topics, so far, little attention has been paid to how these two technologies converge with each other. This relation is not obvious as while it is feasible to enhance gamification with machine learning, it is also feasible to support machine learning with gamification; moreover, there are applications in which machine learning and gamification are combined yet not directly connected. In this study, we aim to shed light on the use of both machine learning in gamification and gamification in machine learning, as well as the related topics of using gamification in machine learning education and machine learning in gamification research. By performing a systematic literature mapping, we not only identify prior works addressing these respective themes, but also analyze how their popularity evolved in time, investigate the areas of application reported by prior works, used machine learning techniques and software tools, as well as the character of research contribution and the character of evaluation results for works that presented them. Aiming at the imbalance of industrial control system data and the poor detection effect of industrial control intrusion detection systems on network attack traffic problems, we propose an ETM-TBD model based on hybrid machine learning and neural network models. Aiming at the problem of high dimensionality and imbalance in the amount of sample data in the massive data of industrial control systems, this paper proposes an IG-based feature selection method and an oversampling method for SMOTE. In the ETM-TBD model, we propose a hyperparameter optimization method based on Bayesian optimization used to optimize the parameters of the four basic machine learners in the model. By introducing a multi-head-attention mechanism, the Transformer module increases the attention between local features and global features, enabling the discovery of the internal relationship between features. Additionally, the BiGRU is used to preserve the temporal features of the dataset, while the DNN is used to extract deeper features. Finally, the SoftMax classifier is used to classify the output. By analyzing the results of the comparison and ablation experiments, it can be concluded that the F1-score of the ETM-TBD model on a robotic arm dataset is 0.9665 and the model has very low FNR and FPR scores of 0.0263 and 0.0081, respectively. Walking robots have been widely applied in complex terrains due to their good terrain adaptability and trafficability. However, in some environments (such as disaster relief, field navigation, etc.), although a single strategy can adapt to various environments, it is unable to strike a balance between speed and stability. Existing control schemes like model predictive control (MPC) and traditional incremental control can manage certain environments. However, they often cannot balance speed and stability well. These methods usually rely on a single strategy and lack adaptability for dynamic adjustment to different terrains. To address this limitation, this paper proposes an innovative double-layer reinforcement learning algorithm. This algorithm combines Deep Double Q-Network (DDQN) and Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO), leveraging their complementary strengths to achieve both fast adaptation and high stability in complex terrains. This algorithm utilizes terrain information and the robot's state as observations, determines the walking speed command of the quadruped robot Unitree Go1 through DDQN, and dynamically adjusts the current walking speed in complex terrains based on the robot action control system of PPO. The speed command serves as a crucial link between the robot's perception and movement, guiding how fast the robot should walk depending on the environment and its internal state. By using DDQN, the algorithm ensures that the robot can set an appropriate speed based on what it observes, such as changes in terrain or obstacles. PPO then executes this speed, allowing the robot to navigate in real time over difficult or uneven surfaces, ensuring smooth and stable movement. Then, the proposed model is verified in detail in Isaac Gym. Wecompare the distances walked by the robot using six different control methods within 10 s. The experimental results indicate that the method proposed in this paper demonstrates excellent speed adjustment ability in complex terrains. On the designed test route, the quadruped robot Unitree Go1 can not only maintain a high walking speed but also maintain a high degree of stability when switching between different terrains. The agricultural sector is undergoing a transformative paradigm shift with the integration of advanced technologies, particularly artificial intelligence (AI), to enhance data analysis techniques and streamline decision-making processes. This paper delves into the integration of advanced technologies in agriculture, focusing specifically on optimizing data analysis through artificial intelligence (AI) to strengthen decision-making processes in farming. We present a novel AI-powered model that leverages historical agricultural datasets, utilizing a comprehensive array of established machine learning algorithms to enhance the prediction and classification of agricultural data. This work provides tailored algorithm recommendations, bypassing the need to deploy and fine-tune numerous algorithms. We approximate the accuracy of suitable algorithms, highlighting those with the highest precision, thus saving time by leveraging pre-trained AI models on historical agricultural data. Our method involves three phases: collecting diverse agricultural datasets, applying multiple classifiers, and documenting their accuracy. This information is stored in a CSV file, which is then used by AI classifiers to predict the accuracy of new, unseen datasets. By evaluating feature information and various data segmentations, we recommend the configuration that achieves the highest accuracy. This approach eliminates the need for exhaustive algorithm reruns, relying on pre-trained models to estimate outcomes based on dataset characteristics. Our experimentation spans various configurations, including different training–testing splits and feature sets across multiple dataset sizes, meticulously evaluated through key performance metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, and F-measure. The experimental results underscore the efficiency of our model, with significant improvements in predictive accuracy and resource utilization, demonstrated through comparative performance analysis against traditional methods. This paper highlights the superiority of the proposed model in its ability to systematically determine the most effective algorithm for specific agricultural data types, thus optimizing computational resources and improving the scalability of smart farming solutions. The results reveal that the proposed system can accurately predict a near-optimal machine learning algorithm and data structure for crop data with an accuracy of 89.38%, 87.61%, and 84.27% for decision tree, random forest, and random tree algorithms, respectively. Featured Application: The importance of generative adversarial networks (GANs) in economics is growing and is driven by successes in other fields. Many economic problems could benefit from GANs, although few studies exist and progress is needed. This paper argues for the use of GANs as a novel and effective tool in economics. An important issue is the need for large datasets, where traditional techniques fall short due to a multiplicity of problems, making the use of GANs very useful in this task. Generative adversarial networks (GANs) have become a recent and rapidly developing research topic in machine learning. Since their inception in 2014, a significant number of variants have been proposed to address various topics across many fields, and they have particularly excelled not only in image and language processing but also in the medical and data science domains. In this paper, we aim to highlight the significance of and advancements that these GAN models can introduce in the field of Business Economics, where they have yet to be fully developed. Implementing the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) business excellence model in organizations is time- and cost-consuming. The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into the EFQM business excellence model is a promising approach to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of excellence in organizations. This research paper's integrated framework follows the ISO/IEC 23053 standard in addressing some of the concerns related to time and cost associated with the EFQM model, achieving higher EFQM scores, and hence operational excellence. A case study involving a UAE government organization serves as a sample to train the AI framework. Historical EFQM results from different years are used as training data. The AI framework utilizes the unsupervised machine learning technique known as k-means clustering. This technique follows the ISO/IEC 23053 standard to predict EFQM output total scores based on criteria and sub-criteria inputs. This research paper's main output is a novel AI framework that can predict EFQM scores for organizations at an early stage. If the predicted EFQM score is not high enough, then the AI framework provides feedback to decision makers regarding the criteria that need reconsideration. Continuous use of this integrated framework helps organizations attain operational excellence. This framework is considered valuable for decision makers as it provides early predictions of EFQM total scores and identifies areas that require improvement before officially applying for the EFQM excellence award, hence saving time and cost. This study explores the integration of machine learning and MCDM methods, which has been used effectively in diverse application areas. Gravitational wave research presents a range of intriguing challenges, each of which has driven significant progress in the field. Key research problems include glitch classification, glitch cancellation, gravitational wave denoising, binary black hole signal detection, gravitational wave bursts, and minor issues that contribute to the overall understanding of gravitational wave phenomena. This paper explores the applications of artificial intelligence, deep learning, and machine learning techniques in addressing these challenges. In this paper, a prediction model of the coupling coefficient based on a multi-module neural network (MMNN) is developed to quickly optimize the installation position of the roof antenna of the 5G-Railway (5G-R) communication system, so as to improve the anti-interference performance of the roof antenna. Firstly, a simulation model of the coupling coefficient between the pantograph arcing and the roof antenna (a monopole antenna operating frequency of 2 GHz) was established to construct the dataset. It is also verified that the influence of the electromagnetic interference (EMI) of pantograph arcing can be significantly reduced by predicting the new installation position (minimum coupling coefficient), and the installation position optimization of roof antenna can be realized. Then, the mind evolutionary algorithm of the back propagation neural network (MEA-BP) algorithm and particle swarm optimization—extreme learning machine (PSO-ELM) algorithm were adopted, respectively. The extreme learning machine algorithm constructed a different prediction model. And, by setting the integrated strategy of piecewise prediction, the prediction results are optimized and the accuracy of the prediction model based on the MMNN is further improved. Finally, the prediction model is proven to be able to replace the complicated electromagnetic simulation work accurately and efficiently by a variety of prediction performance indices, which provides an effective prediction method for the rapid optimization of the installation position of the roof antenna. Two types of grounding systems are recommended for use in the international standard IEC 62305-3, Part 3: Physical damage to structures and life hazard. One of these is a radial-based grounding system (type-A), which is used in soil resistivities of up to 3000 Ω m and is considered in this paper. It is a well-known fact that during lightning strikes, only a part of the grounding wire contributes to dissipating the lightning current into the surrounding soil. This effective part of the grounding system depends on several features, such as soil resistivity, burial depth, and rise time of the dissipated lightning current. The effect of all of these features on the effective length of the type-A grounding system is explored in this paper. A suitable supervised machine learning regression model is developed, which will enable readers to accurately approximate the effective length of the type-A grounding system for realistic values of input features. The trained model in the paper yielded an R 2 value of 0.99998 on the test set. In the field of risk assessment, the traditional econometric models are generally used to assess credit risk. And with the introduction of the "dual-carbon" goals to promote the development of a low-carbon economy, the scale of green credit in China has rapidly expanded. But with the advent of the big data era, due to the poor interpretability of a traditional single machine learning model, it is difficult to capture nonlinear relationships, and there are shortcomings in prediction accuracy and robustness. This paper selects the adjusted ensemble learning model based on the homogeneous and heterogeneous factors for user default prediction, which can efficiently process large quantities of high-dimensional data. This article adjusts each model to adapt to the task and innovatively compares various models. In this paper, the missing value filling method, feature selection, and ensemble model are studied and discussed, and the optimal ensemble model is obtained. Electric vehicles (EVs) have already been acknowledged to be the most viable solution to the climate change that the entire globe has long been combating. With the development of computer technology, landslide recognition based on machine learning methods has been widely applied in geological disaster management and research. However, in landslide identification, the problems of an insufficient number of samples and an imbalance of samples are often ignored; that is, landslide samples are much smaller than non-landslide samples. In order to solve this problem, taking the main urban area of Lanzhou City as an example, this paper proposes to construct a semi-supervised generated countermeasure network (SSGAN) model, which aims to achieve high performance with a limited number of labeled samples for precise landslide identification, and to help prevent and reduce the harm caused by disasters. In order to express the environmental characteristics of landslide development and the optical texture features of landslide occurrence, the study constructs three sets of samples to represent landslide features, including a landslide influencing factor sample set, a Sentinel-2A optical remote sensing sample set, a joint influencing factor and Sentinel-2A sample set. The three kinds of sample sets are transferred to SSGAN for training to form a comparative study. The results show that the joint sample set has excellent feature results in discriminator and generator. Through the experimental comparison, the model proposed in this paper is compared with the model without semi-supervised generated confrontation training. The experimental results show that the proposed method is better than the unsupervised adversarial learning model in terms of accuracy, F1 score, Kappa coefficient, and MIoU. A total of 160 landslides have been identified in the study area, with a total area of 10.328 km2, with an accuracy rate of 83%. Therefore, the generated results are accurate and reliable, and show that SSGAN can better distinguish landslides from non-landslides in an image, under the condition of obtaining a large number of unmarked environmental features; enhance the effect of landslide classification in complex geographical environment; and then put forward effective suggestions for the prevention and control of landslides and geological disasters in the main urban area of Lanzhou. Featured Application: This paper presents a methodology for the implementation of edge intelligence for predicting solar panel performances on wireless sensor nodes. The importance of the usage of renewable energy sources in powering wireless sensor nodes in IoT and sensor networks grows together with the increasing number of utilized sensor nodes. Considering the other types of renewable energy sources, solar power differs as the most suitable one and emerges as the major source for powering sensor nodes. Thus, the consideration of using sensor nodes and collected sensor data for estimating solar panel performances and therefore solar power potential can improve the efforts in this direction. This paper presents the methodology for implementing edge intelligence on wireless sensor nodes for solar panel output voltage estimation and forecasting. The methodology covers the usage of the Python Scikit-learn package and micromlgen library for the implementation of edge intelligence on Arduino clone-based sensor nodes, particularly the development boards based on the ESP8266 chips. Scikit-learn is used for analyzing the efficiency of various regressors on collected solar data. The micromlgen library is then used for implementing those regressors on Arduino and clone nodes. The prediction of solar panel voltage generation is based on a single-sensor reading—UV or BH1750 light sensor. The Random Forest and Decision Tree regressors are implemented on the ESP8266-based development board—Wemos D1 R2. The estimation accuracy of the RF model is an MSE of approximately 0.10, MAE of 0.07 for UV and 0.04 for BH1750, and an R2 of approximately 0.93 for both UV and BH1750 light sensors. The Decision Tree model has a lower accuracy with an MSE between 0.13 and 0.14, MAE of 0.07 for UV and 0.04 for BH1750, and R2 of 0.90 and 0.89 for the UV and BH1750 sensors, respectively. Active distribution grids that contain energy sources (so-called distributed generation or DG) are nowadays a reality. Besides the many benefits DGs bring to the distribution grid, some challenges are associated with their integration. Since there are DGs now in the distribution grid, the occurrence of islanding operation is possible. Since an islanding operation can be dangerous, it is necessary to have an effective method to detect it. In the last decade, scientists have made a great effort to develop and test various islanding detection methods (IDMs). Many approaches have been tested, and the methods based on computational intelligence (CI) have shown great potential. Among them, artificial neural networks (ANNs) gained most of the research attention. This paper focuses on ANN application for islanding detection. It gives an exhaustive review of the ANN types used for islanding detection, the types of input data, and their transformation to fit the ANNs. Academic societies and funding bodies that conduct peer reviews need to select the best reviewers in each field to ensure publication quality. Conventional approaches for reviewer selection focus on evaluating expertise based on research relevance by subject or discipline. An improved perceiving conflict of interest (CoI) reviewer recommendation process that combines the five expertise indices and graph analysis techniques is proposed in this paper. This approach collects metadata from the academic database and extracts candidates based on research field similarities utilizing text mining; then, the candidate scores are calculated and ranked through a professionalism index-based analysis. The highly connected subgraphs (HCS) algorithm is used to cluster similar researchers based on their association or intimacy in the researcher network. The proposed method is evaluated using root mean square error (RMSE) indicators for matching the field of publication and research fields of the recommended experts using keywords of papers published in Korean journals over the past five years. The results show that the system configures a group of Top-K reviewers with an RMSE 0.76. Every part of society relies on energy systems due to the growing population and the constant demand for energy. Because of the high energy demands of transportation, industry, and daily life, energy systems are crucial to every part of society. Electrical transmission lines are a crucial component of the electrical power system. Therefore, in order to determine the power system's protection plan and increase its reliability, it is critical to foresee and classify fault types. With this motivation, the main goal of this paper is to design a deep network model to classify faults in transmission lines based on real, generated, and publicly available datasets. A deep learning architecture that was based on a one-dimensional convolutional neural network (CNN) was utilized in this study. Accuracy, specificity, recall, precision, F1 score, ROC curves, and AUC were employed as performance criteria for the suggested model. Not only synthetic but also real data were used in this study. It has been seen that the created model can be used successfully for both real data and synthetic data. In order to measure the robustness of the network, it was tested with three different datasets consisting of real, generated, and publicly available datasets. The main objective of this paper is to develop a reinforcement agent capable of effectively exploiting a specific vulnerability. Automating pentesting can reduce the cost and time of the operation. While there are existing tools like Metasploit Pro that offer automated exploitation capabilities, they often require significant execution times and resources due to their reliance on exhaustive payload testing. In this paper, we have created a deep reinforcement agent specifically configured to exploit a targeted vulnerability. Through a training phase, the agent learns and stores payloads along with their corresponding reward values in a neural network. When encountering a specific combination of a target operating system and vulnerability, the agent utilizes its neural network to determine the optimal exploitation options. The novelty of this work lies in employing Deep Reinforcement Learning in vulnerability exploitation analysis. To evaluate our proposed methodology, we conducted training and testing on the Metasploitable platform. The training phase of the reinforcement agent was conducted on two use cases: the first one has one vulnerability, and the second one has four vulnerabilities. Our approach successfully achieved the attacker's primary objective of establishing a reverse shell with a maximum accuracy of 96.6% and 73.6% for use cases one and two, respectively. The lack of reliable negative samples is an important factor limiting the quality of machine learning-based debris flow susceptibility mapping (DFSM). The purpose of this paper is to propose multiple negative-sample acquisition strategies for DFSM considering different sample representation forms. The sample representation forms mainly include a single grid, multi-grid, and watershed unit, and the negative-sample acquisition strategies are based on support vector machine (SVM), spy technique, and isolation forest (IF) methods, respectively. These three strategies can assign a value to all the samples based on different assumptions, and reliable, negative samples can be generated from samples with values below a predefined threshold. Combining different sample representation forms with negative sample acquisition strategies, nine datasets were then involved in random forest (RF) modeling. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves and related statistical results were used to evaluate the models. The results show that the strategy based on the spy technique is suitable for multiple datasets, while the IF-based strategy is well-adapted to the watershed unit datasets. The current advancements in the field of machine learning can have an important application in agriculture and global food security. Machine learning has considerable potential in establishing knowledge-based farming systems. One of the main challenges of data-driven agriculture is to minimize food waste and establish more sustainable farming systems. The prediction of the right harvest time is one of the ways to obtain the mentioned goals. This paper describes multiple machine learning algorithms that are used to predict peach firmness. By accurately predicting peach firmness based on various peach measurement data, a more precise harvest time can be obtained. The evaluation of nature-inspired metaheuristic optimization algorithms in enhancing machine learning model accuracy is the primary objective of this paper. The possibility of improving the peach firmness prediction accuracy of regression tree models using various metaheuristic optimization techniques implemented in GA and metaheuristicOpt R packages is studied. The RMSE on test data of the default regression tree model is 1.722285, while the regression tree model optimized using the gray wolf optimization algorithm scored the lowest RMSE of 1.570924. This manuscript presents an analysis of machine learning (ML) usage in the Frequency Symbolic Method (FSM) to enhance the diagnosis of faults in parametric circuit analysis and optimization, with a particular focus on Linear Periodically Time-Variable (LPTV) systems. We put forth a few ML-based approaches for fault diagnosis (including anomaly detection), invisible feature detection, and the prediction of FSM output. These methodologies concentrate on identifying and diagnosing faults by evaluating particular ML techniques, extracting pertinent features, and determining the desired diagnostic outputs. The use cases of ML application considered in this paper demonstrate that machine learning can enhance fault detection and diagnosis, reduce human errors and identify previously unnoticed anomalies within the FSM framework. This paper focuses on the relationship between decision trees, a typical machine learning method, and data anonymization. It is known that information leaked from trained decision trees can be evaluated using well-studied data anonymization techniques and that decision trees can be strengthened using k-anonymity and ℓ-diversity; unfortunately, however, this does not seem sufficient for differential privacy. In this paper, we show how one might apply k-anonymity to a (random) decision tree, which is a variant of the decision tree. This study examines the challenges related to the storage and distribution of cabin materials on board during the construction of cruise ships. The construction process of cruise ships involves the assembly of various cabin materials, which are temporarily stored and transported in a complex deck environment with multiple obstacles. These processes can be viewed as location-routing problems (LRPs). However, existing solutions for LRPs do not account for the obstacles commonly encountered in deck environments. Therefore, this paper introduces a new variant of LRPs, termed as the BE-LRP (blocking environment location-routing problem). Initially, by considering the optimization objectives of minimizing the distribution distance and the number of vehicles required, the paper develops an optimization model for the location-routing of on-board materials while taking obstacles into consideration. Subsequently, a method for estimating blocked distances is proposed. This method utilizes Gaussian process regression to predict blocked distances and enables the rapid estimation of distances obstructed by obstacles between different destinations. Lastly, a hybrid obstacle blocking distance processing HO-NSGAII algorithm is formulated to address the BE-LRP. Experimental comparisons demonstrate that the distribution scheme derived from this research method does not necessitate modifications to the delivery distance when compared to the traditional NSGAII algorithm, and better aligns with the actual deck conditions. With an equivalent number of delivery vehicles, the scheme results in shorter delivery distances. The delivery distance can be reduced by 3–17% under varying circumstances. Google Scholar has been a widely used platform for academic performance evaluation and citation analysis. The issue about the mis-configuration of author profiles may seriously damage the reliability of the data, and thus affect the accuracy of analysis. Therefore, it is important to detect the mis-configured author profiles. Dealing with this issue is challenging because the scale of the dataset is large and manual annotation is time-consuming and relatively subjective. In this paper, we first collect a dataset of Google Scholar's author profiles in the field of computer science and compare the mis-configured author profiles with the reliable ones. Then, we propose an integrated model that utilizes machine learning and node embedding to automatically detect mis-configured author profiles. Additionally, we conduct two application case studies based on the data of Google Scholar, i.e., outstanding scholar searching and university ranking, to demonstrate how the improved dataset after filtering out the mis-configured author profiles will change the results. In this paper, we propose a learning model for tracking the isolines of fluid based on the physical properties of particles in particle-based fluid simulations. Our method involves analyzing which weights, closely related to surface tracking among the various physical properties of fluid particles, are significant. These weights are used as input values for the learning algorithm, enabling relatively accurate isoline tracking. In addition, compared to existing learning models such as linear regression, LSTM (long short-term memory), and learning representation (1-layer) models, our method obtained superior surface tracking results without accumulating errors. By using our proposed network structure to track the fluid surface, it learns and predicts values derived from existing fluid simulation algorithms, eliminating the need for computational processes for level-set values and enabling real-time surface tracking. As the scale of the simulation increases, our method significantly reduces the time and resources consumed compared to traditional methods and can track the fluid surface without additional resource consumption. Furthermore, due to our method's simple network structure, the time consumed in the initial process of loading the model into memory is faster than models such as CNN and LSTM. Our proposed model occupies less than 30 kb of storage space, making it suitable for use in middleware. Although breast cancer, with easy recurrence and high mortality, has become one of the leading causes of cancer death in women, early and accurate diagnosis of breast cancer can effectively increase the likelihood of a cure. Therefore, it is particularly important to improve the accuracy of early diagnosis of breast cancer. However, conventional early diagnosis relies on human experience and has a low accuracy rate. Therefore, many researchers have proposed various machine learning methods to improve the accuracy and efficiency of prediction. Most of the existing studies around breast cancer classification adopt a single algorithm to fit breast cancer data but ignore the applicability of different breast cancer data features to the model. In this paper, we adopt machine algorithms to strip the features of machine learning methods from the rest of the features and attempt to enhance the model effect by designing deep learning model structures to find the hidden patterns in the rest of the features. In addition, due to strict medical data privacy requirements and high collection difficulty and cost, the model designed in this paper will be trained on a small number of samples. As a result, we attempt to find a minimization model for a breast cancer classification algorithm that features both low cost and high efficiency. At the same time, the deep learning model is further designed to complement the original model when it is possible to introduce complex data indicators. Experimental values show that the design model in this paper performs best not only under limited data and limited indicators but also under limited data complex indicators, demonstrating the effectiveness of the approach of mixed comparison and feature selection of multiple classification algorithms. A personal-computer-based and a Raspberry Pi single-board computer-based virtual force sensor with EtherCAT communication for a six-axis robotic arm are proposed in this paper. Both traditional mathematical modeling and machine learning techniques are used in the establishment of the dynamic model of the robotic arm. Thanks to the high updating rate of EtherCAT, the machine learning-based dynamic model on a personal computer achieved an average correlation coefficient between the estimated torque and the actual torque feedback from the motor driver of about 0.99. The dynamic model created using traditional mathematical modeling and the Raspberry Pi single-board computer demonstrates an approximate correlation coefficient of 0.988 between the estimated torque and the actual torque. The external torque observer is established by calculating the difference between the actual torque and the estimated torque, and the virtual force sensor converts the externally applied torques calculated for each axis to the end effector of the robotic arm. When detecting external forces applied to the end effector, the virtual force sensor demonstrates a correlation coefficient of 0.75 and a Root Mean Square Error of 12.93 N, proving its fundamental competence for force measurement. In this paper, both the external torque observer and the virtual force control are applied to applications related to sensing external forces of the robotic arm. The external torque observer is utilized in the safety collision detection mechanism. Based on experimental results, the system can halt the motion of the robotic arm using the minimum external force that the human body can endure, thereby ensuring the operator's safety. The virtual force control is utilized to implement a position and force hybrid controller. The experimental results demonstrate that, under identical control conditions, the position and force hybrid controller established by the Raspberry Pi single-board computer achieves superior control outcomes in a constant force control scenario with a pressure of 40 N. The average absolute error is 9.62 N, and the root mean square error is 11.16 N when compared to the target pressure. From the analysis of the results, it can be concluded that the Raspberry Pi system implemented in this paper can achieve a higher control command update rate compared to personal computers.
