This article, published in the Arab Journal of Interventional Radiology, discusses the management of benign ovarian cysts using ultrasound-guided aspiration and sclerotherapy as a minimally invasive alternative to surgery. The study included 23 patients who underwent the procedure, with 21 receiving both aspiration and sclerotherapy and 2 receiving aspiration only. Follow-up assessments were conducted at 1, 3, and 6 months, and the results showed a success rate of 90% for complete resolution of the cysts. The authors conclude that aspiration and sclerotherapy is a reliable and effective treatment option for simple ovarian cysts, with sclerotherapy being superior to aspiration alone.
