Over the past three decades, with the development of urbanization in Wuhan, farmers' income has been substantially increased in Wuhan City, and urbanization has played an important role in farmers' income growth. By the empirical analysis of the data related to the level of urbanization development and farmers' income in Wuhan City during 1993 -2013, this paper finds that there is a long-term stable equilibrium relationship between urbanization development and farmers' income growth in Wuhan City, and urbanization development has become an important driving force for farmers' income growth. Finally, this paper puts forth some policy recommendations for promoting farmers' income by urbanization development in Wuhan City on the basis of empirical analysis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper presents a discussion about paradigm shift from following aspects: the paradigm shift and sustainability, traditional paradigm in China, experience from developed countries and the new planning paradigm shift. From the perspective of the process of urbanization, this paper puts forward the corresponding public policy control by analyzing the characteristics of "hollowing" at different stages of urbanization. Moreover, the paper focuses on the stage of China's current urbanization. Based on the survey of migrant workers, this paper evaluates China's current policies, and argues that the rural "hollowing" is an objective that accompanies urbanization. At different stages of the process of urbanization, the rural "hollowing" presents different characteristics. Local governments should make policy and plan based on the different stages of local urbanization and local conditions, because of the extent of regional differences in economic and social development. The Pearl River Delta is a typical representative of China’ s coastal economic belt and one of the most active regions for international trade. It has important reference value for the urbanization of other coastal economic regions in China to study the impact of international trade on the urbanization of the Pearl River Delta. This paper constructs the theoretical model of the three factors of export trade, import trade and industrial scale affecting the urbanization of the Pearl River Delta. It is empirically found that the international trade has positive effects on the total effect of urbanization in which export trade and import intermediate product trade have a positive effect on urbanization, and import trade and export intermediate product trade have a negative effect on urbanization. This paper studies the comprehensive urban competitiveness and performs the principal component analysis. The results show that the comprehensive evaluation of urban competitiveness is not entirely dependent on the city's economic strength or GDP, and it is necessary to consider from resource allocation capacity, openness and public service capacity. By selecting various data concerning 11 prefecture-level cities in Jiangxi Province in 2006, 2009 and 2012, this paper gets the ranking results and analyzes trends, to provide a basis for making future economic policy. In order to clarify the impact of urbanization development on food production, based on panel data from 31 provinces (municipalities, autonomous regions) in China from 2005 to 2015, using a fixed effect model, the paper found that the urbanization rate ha a negative impact on per capita food production, and finally made the related policy recommendations. Anima husbandry industrialization and rural urbanization in western regions of China are not independent, but two aspects of development with mutual interaction. Animal husbandry industrialization provides material basis of progress in productivity for rural urbanization. In turn, rural urbanization provides development conditions, such as industry, technology, science, information, market, finance, transportation, communication, and social service, for animal husbandry industrialization. Urbanization construction is a historical mission of China's modernization construction, and is also the largest potential for expanding domestic demand. Actively promoting rural urbanization is favorable for expanding consumption and boosting economic growth. Through building VAR model using data of urbanization level and consumption in 1978-2012, this paper made Granger causality test, impulse response analysis, and variance decomposition analysis on the relation between urbanization and economic growth. In addition, from comparing the effect of urbanization on expanding rural consumption and urban consumption, it is known that the effect of growth of urbanization rate on urban consumption is lower than rural consumption in short term, but urbanization level has a greater contribution to growth of urban consumption in the long run. To make clear the relation between urbanization and growth of rural resident consumption in western ethnic minority areas of China, this paper selected cross-sectional area of 12 provinces (cities) in western ethnic minority areas in 2005 - 2013 and made an empirical analysis through building panel data of influence of urbanization on rural resident consumption. Results indicate that there is positive correlation between urbanization and rural resident consumption growth in western ethnic minority areas. Urbanization increases income level of rural residents, strengthens demonstration effect of urban residents on rural resident consumption, and accordingly promotes rural resident consumption growth in western ethnic minority areas. Therefore, it is required to accelerate urbanization development, expand channels of increasing farmers' income, improve resident consumption environment, and bring into play promotion function of counties, to drive rural resident consumption growth in western ethnic minority areas. New-generation migrant workers are the "elite" among migrant workers, and whether they can really adapt to the city is one of the real problems to be urgently solved during China's new urbanization, related to the success of new urbanization construction. From the perspective of livelihood capital, this paper uses the measuring indicators in line with the new-generation migrant workers' livelihood characteristics, to analyze the typical characteristics and causes of new-generation migrant workers' urba adaptation in Jianggan District of Hangzhou City based on field survey data. In the study, it is found that the new-generation migrant workers' urban adaptation characteristics are focused on life adaptation, work adaptation and cultural adaptation, but the adaptation in the three areas is not good and there is a big room for improvement. Based on DEA-Malmquist method, this paper calculated the integrated technology efficiency of grain production and total factor productivity and analyzed factors influencing the grain production technology efficiency using working documents of panel structure. Research results indicate that grain production integrated technology efficiency of China is relatively low, technology utilization level is low, and it remains at the stage of decreasing returns to scale, and the pure technology efficiency still has space to increase. Total factor productivity is declining and the total factor productivity of many provinces is relatively low. Since the total factor productivity of eastern areas is higher than central and western areas, it is required to strengthen technological support for grain production. The implementation of urbanization is helpful for promoting increase of grain production technology efficiency in central and eastern areas, but it will exert negative influence on western areas. Urbanization is a powerful engine for the growth of rural residents' consumption in China. This paper selects the cross-sectional data concerning 31 provinces (municipalities) in China during 2005 -2012, and builds the panel data model of influence of urbanization on rural residents' consumption in China for empirical analysis. The results show? that there is a significant positive correlation between urbanization ad rural residents' consumption level. From the mechanism, urbanization drives the growth of rural residents' consumption by improving rural residents' income level and changing rural residents' consumption concept. However , the uncertainties of rural residents' income inhibit the growth of rural residents' consumption. Therefore , it is necessary to accelerate the development of urbanization , broaden farmers' income channels, improve the consumer environment and accelerate the reform of the household registration system to further activate the rural consumer market. County-level town is important space carrier of China's urbanization and the emphasis and key of strategic distribution for urbanization. Backwardness of county-level towns limits nearby transfer of surplus labor. To promote development of county-level towns, on the basis of classifying county-level towns, this paper analyzed motive and resistance factors of evolution of different county-level towns using historical data collection and statistical method, comparative approach, typical case study method, and studied development path for different county-level towns. From analysis, it reached the conclusion that industry exerts the most direct and fundamental influence on development of county-level towns, while the industrial development in county-level towns must base on their actual conditions. The county-level towns are not isolated, and their development should be established within the framework of national policy environment and superior and subordinate town system. Using stakeholder survey, documentation and policy analysis, through the survey of stakeholders, this paper aims to explore the problems in the collectively owned land requisition compensation system and their causes, and put forth the reform ideas and measures to provide a reference for the development of new urbanization. The results show that there are some problems in the current land requisition compensation system, such as improper land requisition compensation standard and calculation method, low compensation standard, unsound social security system, irrational compensation and placement methods and low satisfaction of farmers whose land is requisitioned. Therefore, it is necessary to accelerate the reform of land requisition compensation system and smooth progress of new urbanization construction in accordance with the requirements of 3rd Plenum of the 18th Communist Party of China (CPC). The traditional village is the witness of farming civilization, but also the most important carrier of China's excellent traditional culture. However, in the process of high-speed urbanization, more and more traditional villages get gradually depressed and have problems of survival crisis. Fully exploring the value of traditional villages and protecting and activating them have attracted wide attention. Urbanization is the result of economic and social development, but also an important indicator to measure the level of regional economic and social development. Since the reform and opening up, the level of urbanization in Hebei province has been lagging behind the national average level. The 18th National Congress of the CPC proposed to develop new urbanization, and this paper evaluated the comprehensive urbanization level of Hebei province combined with new connotation of urbanization. It constructed an evaluation index system of Hebei Province's urbanization comprehensive level, and then used the method of factor analysis with SPSS statistical analysis software to distinguish the major influencing factors. Thirdly, it overlaid the result with spatial pattern, which calculated by the spatial visualization function of Arc-GIS software, making the evaluation results presented in a more vivid way. It is an unarguable fact that the urban-rural dual structure led to two different results. On the one hand, it had been playing a great role in the city development and prosperity, and on the other hand, it had led the slotv development of rural economy and the income gap between rural and urban areas. The government makes efforts to promote the process of urbanization to maintain the sustained development of China's economy and economic transformation which are the two needs of the Chinese reality. But in the top-level design of the policy, the government did not give a fair profits distribution to all social groups. On the contrary, the result of urban development is based on the expense of a part of the people's interests in exchange for the interests of another parts of the people, and especially on the government expropriation in the process of urban expansion. Under Land Administration Law of the People's Republic of China, the government monopolized the expropriation right of te rural land, and the rural employees and farmers as the land owner and constructors respectively have no rights to decide the lad use purposes. In fact, they are forced to accept the land compensation, and because of the litte barganing rights, tey gain little from the land value increment. Comparatively, the governments became the biggest beneficiary who made use of the land as a source and capital to earn te achievement in their official career and more money required by the urban development. The paper mainly analyzes the current situation of te distribution of the land added value, elaborates the reasons why the government strives for the land interests, and discusses what farmers lose in the government expropriation. With the advance of urbanization process and rapid growth of urban population, the construction land scale in Dianchi Lake basin increases at a sharp speed. Due to lack of reasonable scale control and space optimization, many areas have the problem of blind growth in construction land. On the one hand, it results in deterioration of regional ecological environment. On the other, it poses hidden danger for sustainable land use in the basin. Therefore, in order to coordination of regional land use and ecological environment construction, this paper on the basis of the existing various zoning method, the natural ecological conditions and resources environment as the constraint conditions of regional ecological balance, puts forward the Dianchi lake watershed ecological constraint type classification method based on GIS, and discusses the evaluation unit division, index selection and handling technical issues. Through evaluating ecological constraints of Dianchi Lake basin, this study divided Dianchi Lake basin into extremely high, higher, high, medium and low ecological constraint zones. Finally, it came up with guiding and regulating measures for land use of each type of ecological constraint, in the hope of providing scientific basis for optimum allocation of land resources in Dianchi Lake basin. This paper is to examine the urban and rural construction land data of Dafang between basic year and final year based on country scale and spatial econometrics, and analyze its spatial pattern and change feature. According to the results, the construction lands in all the villages of Dafang County showed strong spatial autocorrelation and significant spatial cluster. After the analysis of local Moran's I, the construction lands in 381 villages of 36 counties presented strong activity. The original small-scale villages were gradually enlarging, which will not only gradually benefit local development, but also be in accordance with the strategy of "one city, one district, eight parks". In view of artificially high urbanization rate of China and possible causes, survey and data analysis methods were used to discuss reform of household registration system, and path for promoting rural land system reform. Results show that it is required to eliminate bottlenecks of land system in the advance of new urbanization process. Financial development and human capital are the important driving forces of economic and social development in Shandong Province, and the level of them as well as the degree of coordination between the two not only affects the transformation of economic development pattern in Shandong Province, but also affects the implementation of leapfrog development strategy in Shandong Province. Through the study, it is found that there is a long-term stable dynamic equilibrium relationship among economic growth, human capital and financial development; the degree of coordination between financial development and human capital in Shandong Province is constantly improved, evolving from imbalance to balance.
