Over the past three decades, with the development of urbanization in Wuhan, farmers' income has been substantially increased in Wuhan City, and urbanization has played an important role in farmers' income growth. By the empirical analysis of the data related to the level of urbanization development and farmers' income in Wuhan City during 1993 -2013, this paper finds that there is a long-term stable equilibrium relationship between urbanization development and farmers' income growth in Wuhan City, and urbanization development has become an important driving force for farmers' income growth. Finally, this paper puts forth some policy recommendations for promoting farmers' income by urbanization development in Wuhan City on the basis of empirical analysis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

From the perspective of the process of urbanization, this paper puts forward the corresponding public policy control by analyzing the characteristics of "hollowing" at different stages of urbanization. Moreover, the paper focuses on the stage of China's current urbanization. Based on the survey of migrant workers, this paper evaluates China's current policies, and argues that the rural "hollowing" is an objective that accompanies urbanization. At different stages of the process of urbanization, the rural "hollowing" presents different characteristics. Local governments should make policy and plan based on the different stages of local urbanization and local conditions, because of the extent of regional differences in economic and social development. This paper studies the comprehensive urban competitiveness and performs the principal component analysis. The results show that the comprehensive evaluation of urban competitiveness is not entirely dependent on the city's economic strength or GDP, and it is necessary to consider from resource allocation capacity, openness and public service capacity. By selecting various data concerning 11 prefecture-level cities in Jiangxi Province in 2006, 2009 and 2012, this paper gets the ranking results and analyzes trends, to provide a basis for making future economic policy. To make clear the relation between urbanization and growth of rural resident consumption in western ethnic minority areas of China, this paper selected cross-sectional area of 12 provinces (cities) in western ethnic minority areas in 2005 - 2013 and made an empirical analysis through building panel data of influence of urbanization on rural resident consumption. Results indicate that there is positive correlation between urbanization and rural resident consumption growth in western ethnic minority areas. Urbanization increases income level of rural residents, strengthens demonstration effect of urban residents on rural resident consumption, and accordingly promotes rural resident consumption growth in western ethnic minority areas. Therefore, it is required to accelerate urbanization development, expand channels of increasing farmers' income, improve resident consumption environment, and bring into play promotion function of counties, to drive rural resident consumption growth in western ethnic minority areas. New-generation migrant workers are the "elite" among migrant workers, and whether they can really adapt to the city is one of the real problems to be urgently solved during China's new urbanization, related to the success of new urbanization construction. From the perspective of livelihood capital, this paper uses the measuring indicators in line with the new-generation migrant workers' livelihood characteristics, to analyze the typical characteristics and causes of new-generation migrant workers' urba adaptation in Jianggan District of Hangzhou City based on field survey data. In the study, it is found that the new-generation migrant workers' urban adaptation characteristics are focused on life adaptation, work adaptation and cultural adaptation, but the adaptation in the three areas is not good and there is a big room for improvement. Based on DEA-Malmquist method, this paper calculated the integrated technology efficiency of grain production and total factor productivity and analyzed factors influencing the grain production technology efficiency using working documents of panel structure. Research results indicate that grain production integrated technology efficiency of China is relatively low, technology utilization level is low, and it remains at the stage of decreasing returns to scale, and the pure technology efficiency still has space to increase. Total factor productivity is declining and the total factor productivity of many provinces is relatively low. Since the total factor productivity of eastern areas is higher than central and western areas, it is required to strengthen technological support for grain production. The implementation of urbanization is helpful for promoting increase of grain production technology efficiency in central and eastern areas, but it will exert negative influence on western areas. Under the background of the new urbanization, this paper performs an empirical analysis of requisition-compensation balance indicators in Chuzhou City, and points out the problems in the land transaction. Urbanization is a powerful engine for the growth of rural residents' consumption in China. This paper selects the cross-sectional data concerning 31 provinces (municipalities) in China during 2005 -2012, and builds the panel data model of influence of urbanization on rural residents' consumption in China for empirical analysis. The results show? that there is a significant positive correlation between urbanization ad rural residents' consumption level. From the mechanism, urbanization drives the growth of rural residents' consumption by improving rural residents' income level and changing rural residents' consumption concept. However , the uncertainties of rural residents' income inhibit the growth of rural residents' consumption. Therefore , it is necessary to accelerate the development of urbanization , broaden farmers' income channels, improve the consumer environment and accelerate the reform of the household registration system to further activate the rural consumer market. County-level town is important space carrier of China's urbanization and the emphasis and key of strategic distribution for urbanization. Backwardness of county-level towns limits nearby transfer of surplus labor. To promote development of county-level towns, on the basis of classifying county-level towns, this paper analyzed motive and resistance factors of evolution of different county-level towns using historical data collection and statistical method, comparative approach, typical case study method, and studied development path for different county-level towns. From analysis, it reached the conclusion that industry exerts the most direct and fundamental influence on development of county-level towns, while the industrial development in county-level towns must base on their actual conditions. The county-level towns are not isolated, and their development should be established within the framework of national policy environment and superior and subordinate town system. Using stakeholder survey, documentation and policy analysis, through the survey of stakeholders, this paper aims to explore the problems in the collectively owned land requisition compensation system and their causes, and put forth the reform ideas and measures to provide a reference for the development of new urbanization. The results show that there are some problems in the current land requisition compensation system, such as improper land requisition compensation standard and calculation method, low compensation standard, unsound social security system, irrational compensation and placement methods and low satisfaction of farmers whose land is requisitioned. Therefore, it is necessary to accelerate the reform of land requisition compensation system and smooth progress of new urbanization construction in accordance with the requirements of 3rd Plenum of the 18th Communist Party of China (CPC). On the basis of analyzing existing course system of urban planning discipline, this paper came up with a framework for optimization of urban planning personnel training mode and course system, oriented towards training practical engineering personnel and based on CDIO engineering education and teaching platform. Then it made empirical study on setting of the urban planning discipline in Northeast Forestry University. Urbanization is the result of economic and social development, but also an important indicator to measure the level of regional economic and social development. Since the reform and opening up, the level of urbanization in Hebei province has been lagging behind the national average level. The 18th National Congress of the CPC proposed to develop new urbanization, and this paper evaluated the comprehensive urbanization level of Hebei province combined with new connotation of urbanization. It constructed an evaluation index system of Hebei Province's urbanization comprehensive level, and then used the method of factor analysis with SPSS statistical analysis software to distinguish the major influencing factors. Thirdly, it overlaid the result with spatial pattern, which calculated by the spatial visualization function of Arc-GIS software, making the evaluation results presented in a more vivid way. It is an unarguable fact that the urban-rural dual structure led to two different results. On the one hand, it had been playing a great role in the city development and prosperity, and on the other hand, it had led the slotv development of rural economy and the income gap between rural and urban areas. The government makes efforts to promote the process of urbanization to maintain the sustained development of China's economy and economic transformation which are the two needs of the Chinese reality. But in the top-level design of the policy, the government did not give a fair profits distribution to all social groups. On the contrary, the result of urban development is based on the expense of a part of the people's interests in exchange for the interests of another parts of the people, and especially on the government expropriation in the process of urban expansion. Under Land Administration Law of the People's Republic of China, the government monopolized the expropriation right of te rural land, and the rural employees and farmers as the land owner and constructors respectively have no rights to decide the lad use purposes. In fact, they are forced to accept the land compensation, and because of the litte barganing rights, tey gain little from the land value increment. Comparatively, the governments became the biggest beneficiary who made use of the land as a source and capital to earn te achievement in their official career and more money required by the urban development. The paper mainly analyzes the current situation of te distribution of the land added value, elaborates the reasons why the government strives for the land interests, and discusses what farmers lose in the government expropriation. This paper carries out calculation and analysis of various kinds of ecological footprint and 104 yuan GDP in Hefei City during the period 2005-2010, and the results show that in recent years, the industrial economic development in Hefei City is accelerated, people's living standards are improved, and the momentum of urbanization is gathered. This paper is to examine the urban and rural construction land data of Dafang between basic year and final year based on country scale and spatial econometrics, and analyze its spatial pattern and change feature. According to the results, the construction lands in all the villages of Dafang County showed strong spatial autocorrelation and significant spatial cluster. After the analysis of local Moran's I, the construction lands in 381 villages of 36 counties presented strong activity. The original small-scale villages were gradually enlarging, which will not only gradually benefit local development, but also be in accordance with the strategy of "one city, one district, eight parks". In view of artificially high urbanization rate of China and possible causes, survey and data analysis methods were used to discuss reform of household registration system, and path for promoting rural land system reform. Results show that it is required to eliminate bottlenecks of land system in the advance of new urbanization process. In line with land system bottlenecks of new urbanization, it is recommended to take following measures, (i) Promoting land right confirmation centered land system reform, (ii) Weakening rural land ownership and stressing land use right, (iii) Establishing urban and rural integrated land market and putting an end to low cost urbanization road. (v) Reforming the land expropriation system and increasing the share of gain in land value to farmers.
