Abstract

Research has been conducted on heterodimerizing leucine zipper system. The use of this system in investigating the role of amino acids in coiled coil stability and the use of alanine-based double-mutant thermodynamic cycle in measuring coupling energy between amino acids and in investigating amino acid interactions which regulate dimerization specificity are described.
