Abstract

A locked nucleic acid (LNA) modified complementary strand as a pharmacological agent is utilized to study the sensitivity of c-MYC (found in the P1 promoter) quadruplex-duplex equilibrium. The results from the in vitro and in vivo experiments suggested that the perturbation of the c-MYC quadruplex could lead to its duplex state, which in turn modulates the downstream gene expression.
