Abstract

The article discusses a new technique, which can be employed for the production of a new series of Src family kinases (SFKs), which are shown to exhibit completely different signaling properties. The various roles played by the different domains of the kinases are also explained.

Abstract

The substrate specificity of Src family kinases is investigated with the help of mutants. The positions of SH3 and SH2 domains are found to be significant in the enzyme regulation during phosphoryaltion.
