Simple Summary: Diagnosing glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), solitary brain metastases (SBM), and primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) in malignant tumors of the central nervous system using multi-modal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is significantly important in helping physicians develop treatment plans and enhance patient prognosis. In this paper, MFFC-Net is developed and validated using deep learning methods to predict these three tumor categories from multi-modal MRI without the manual region of interest (ROI). MFFC-Net first uses a multi-encoder with DenseBlocks to extract deep features from multi-modal MRI. Then, the feature fusion layer fuses the deep information between different modalities and tissues. Finally, the spatial-channel attention module suppresses redundant new information and activates tumor classification-related features. Compared with radiomics models, MFFC-Net demonstrated higher accuracy. In addition, the results in the different sequences provide important references for future clinical work on MRI image acquisition. We believe that MFFC-Net has the potential to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of brain tumors in the future. (1) Background: Diagnosis of glioblastoma (GBM), solitary brain metastases (SBM), and primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) plays a decisive role in the development of personalized treatment plans. Constructing a deep learning classification network to diagnose GBM, SBM, and PCNSL with multi-modal MRI is important and necessary. (2) Subjects: GBM, SBM, and PCNSL were confirmed by histopathology with the multi-modal MRI examination (study from 1225 subjects, average age 53 years, 671 males), 3.0 T T2 fluid-attenuated inversion recovery (T2-Flair), and Contrast-enhanced T1-weighted imaging (CE-T1WI). (3) Methods: This paper introduces MFFC-Net, a classification model based on the fusion of multi-modal MRIs, for the classification of GBM, SBM, and PCNSL. The network architecture consists of parallel encoders using DenseBlocks to extract features from different modalities of MRI images. Subsequently, an L 1 − n o r m feature fusion module is applied to enhance the interrelationships among tumor tissues. Then, a spatial-channel self-attention weighting operation is performed after the feature fusion. Finally, the classification results are obtained using the full convolutional layer (FC) and Soft-max. (4) Results: The ACC of MFFC-Net based on feature fusion was 0.920, better than the radiomics model (ACC of 0.829). There was no significant difference in the ACC compared to the expert radiologist (0.920 vs. 0.924, p = 0.774). (5) Conclusions: Our MFFC-Net model could distinguish GBM, SBM, and PCNSL preoperatively based on multi-modal MRI, with a higher performance than the radiomics model and was comparable to radiologists. Simple Summary: The diagnostic value of exosomes has been well recognized by researchers. The use of exosomal biomarkers as an adjunct diagnosis method not only improves diagnostic accuracy but can also be used for early diagnosis and disease progression differentiation, thus supporting personalized clinical treatment strategies for patients with neuropsychiatric disorders. In this paper, we summarize potential exosomal biomarkers in the diagnosis of neuropsychiatric diseases. Exosomes are 30–150 nm small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) which are highly stable and encapsulated by a phospholipid bilayer. Exosomes contain proteins, lipids, RNAs (mRNAs, microRNAs/miRNAs, long non-coding RNAs/lncRNAs), and DNA of their parent cell. In pathological conditions, the composition of exosomes is altered, making exosomes a potential source of biomarkers for disease diagnosis. Exosomes can cross the blood–brain barrier (BBB), which is an advantage for using exosomes in the diagnosis of central nervous system (CNS) diseases. Neuropsychiatric diseases belong to the CNS diseases, and many potential diagnostic markers have been identified for neuropsychiatric diseases. Here, we review the potential diagnostic markers of exosomes in neuropsychiatric diseases and discuss the potential application of exosomal biomarkers in the early and accurate diagnosis of these diseases. Simple Summary: Electroencephalograms provide valuable insights into brain activity with diverse medical utility that encompasses diagnosis, monitoring, drug discovery, and treatment evaluation. We propose an artificial intelligence model that is uniquely optimized to analyze electroencephalogram signals by directly processing raw data. This model captures intricate spatial and temporal patterns in electroencephalograms through dedicated components like spatial channel attention and sparse transformer encoding. Through being evaluated extensively, our model demonstrates high accuracy in detecting brain diseases and classifying psychotropic drugs. By automatically learning the representations from raw electroencephalogram data, it adapts well across diseases, subjects, and tasks. The model's end-to-end learning aptitude and task versatility constitutes a robust and widely applicable automated electroencephalogram analytics solution. We believe it has the potential to significantly advance electroencephalogram-based diagnosis and personalized medicine. Electroencephalogram (EEG) analysis plays an indispensable role across contemporary medical applications, which encompasses diagnosis, monitoring, drug discovery, and therapeutic assessment. This work puts forth an end-to-end deep learning framework that is uniquely tailored for versatile EEG analysis tasks by directly operating on raw waveform inputs. It aims to address the challenges of manual feature engineering and the neglect of spatial interrelationships in existing methodologies. Specifically, a spatial channel attention module is introduced to emphasize the critical inter-channel dependencies in EEG signals through channel statistics aggregation and multi-layer perceptron operations. Furthermore, a sparse transformer encoder is used to leverage selective sparse attention in order to efficiently process long EEG sequences while reducing computational complexity. Distilling convolutional layers further concatenates the temporal features and retains only the salient patterns. As it was rigorously evaluated on key EEG datasets, our model consistently accomplished a superior performance over the current approaches in detection and classification assignments. By accounting for both spatial and temporal relationships in an end-to-end paradigm, this work facilitates a versatile, automated EEG understanding across diseases, subjects, and objectives through a singular yet customizable architecture.
