The incidence of oral cancer is still increasing. It has become very common in patients with malignant tumors, which has forced medical personnel to continuously explore its treatment methods. What kind of method can effectively and correctly diagnose the disease in the early stage and improve the survival rate has become one of the research topics that have attracted much attention. Aiming at this problem, it has great research significance for the field of oral precancerous lesions diagnosis. With the in-depth research on oral precancerous diagnosis, the research on artificial neural network (ANN) in medical diagnosis is gradually carried out. Its performance advantage is of great significance to solve the problem of early and correct disease diagnosis. This paper aimed to investigate the application of ANN-assisted cancer risk prediction method in risk prediction of oral precancerous lesions. Through the analysis and research of ANN and oral cancer, the construction of oral cancer risk prediction model was applied to solve the problem of improving the survival rate of oral cancer patients. In this paper, ANN and oral precancerous lesions were analyzed, the performance of the algorithm was experimentally analyzed, and the relevant theoretical formulas were used to explain. The results showed that the method had higher accuracy than traditional forecasting methods. When N = 2 , the output accuracy was above 90%. It can be seen that the algorithm can meet the needs of the diagnosis of high-risk groups of oral cancer lesions, and the diagnosis efficiency and patient survival rate has been greatly improved. Purpose. Artificial intelligence (AI) techniques are used in precision medicine to explore novel genotypes and phenotypes data. The main aims of precision medicine include early diagnosis, screening, and personalized treatment regime for a patient based on genetic-oriented features and characteristics. The main objective of this study was to review AI techniques and their effectiveness in neoplasm precision medicine. Materials and Methods. A comprehensive search was performed in Medline (through PubMed), Scopus, ISI Web of Science, IEEE Xplore, Embase, and Cochrane databases from inception to December 29, 2021, in order to identify the studies that used AI methods for cancer precision medicine and evaluate outcomes of the models. Results. Sixty-three studies were included in this systematic review. The main AI approaches in 17 papers (26.9%) were linear and nonlinear categories (random forest or decision trees), and in 21 citations, rule-based systems and deep learning models were used. Notably, 62% of the articles were done in the United States and China. R package was the most frequent software, and breast and lung cancer were the most selected neoplasms in the papers. Out of 63 papers, in 34 articles, genomic data like gene expression, somatic mutation data, phenotype data, and proteomics with drug-response which is functional data was used as input in AI methods; in 16 papers' (25.3%) drug response, functional data was utilized in personalization of treatment. The maximum values of the assessment indicators such as accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, precision, recall, and area under the curve (AUC) in included studies were 0.99, 1.00, 0.96, 0.98, 0.99, and 0.9929, respectively. In recent years, people's living standards are getting higher and higher, and life pressure is also increasing, and there are also many problems in eating habits. This is also the direct cause of colon cancer. The aim of this paper was to investigate whether anesthetic drugs could positively affect the proliferation and apoptosis of colon cancer cells. In this paper, the significance of anesthetic drugs is proposed, and an artificial neural network algorithm based on artificial intelligence is proposed. It is well known that artificial neural networks play an important role in medicine. The experimental results of this paper show that the incidence of colon cancer in 2020 will be in the range of 5%-35%, and the incidence of colon cancer in 2021 will be in the range of 7%-30%. While colon cancer rates in 2021 do not appear to be as high as colon cancer rates in 2020, they are generally much higher than colon cancer rates in 2020. It can be seen that as the population ages, the number of colon cancer patients is increasing due to the lack of emphasis on health. This also means that the incidence of colon cancer is getting higher and higher, and traditional drug chemotherapy has been unable to play a good role in inhibiting the proliferation of colon cancer cells. Artificial intelligence (AI) scholars and mediciners have reported AI systems that accurately detect medical imaging and COVID-19 in chest images. However, the robustness of these models remains unclear for the segmentation of images with nonuniform density distribution or the multiphase target. The most representative one is the Chan-Vese (CV) image segmentation model. In this paper, we demonstrate that the recent level set (LV) model has excellent performance on the detection of target characteristics from medical imaging relying on the filtering variational method based on the global medical pathology facture. We observe that the capability of the filtering variational method to obtain image feature quality is better than other LV models. This research reveals a far-reaching problem in medical-imaging AI knowledge detection. In addition, from the analysis of experimental results, the algorithm proposed in this paper has a good effect on detecting the lung region feature information of COVID-19 images and also proves that the algorithm has good adaptability in processing different images. Digital tools and apps are revolutionizing healthcare and provide creative answers to urgent problems. Through teamwork and the incorporation of digital technologies, dentistry has experienced a remarkable revolution. A large body of scholarly research backs up this trend. The context, trends, and content of digital health technology in oral and dental health are examined in our bibliometric analysis. Using targeted keywords and synonyms, an organized searching technique was used in the Scopus database, yielding 1942 articles that were extracted into a CSV file. To acquire insights into the content, trends, and context, visualization using VOSviewer 1.6.18 and a variety of analyses—including coauthorship, citation, cooccurrence of author keywords, bibliographic coupling, and cocitation—were executed. The analysis revealed that the USA and the UK contributed to a significant quantity of the literature, with newer contributions coming from nations like India. Cone Beam Computed Tomography, Dental Caries, and Artificial Intelligence were prominent keywords. It is important to note that BMC Oral Health was associated with a sizable number of the papers. This bibliometric analysis provides insightful information about the context, content, and trends of digital health in the field of oral and dental health. Objective. To review the progress of research on photoplethysmography- (PPG-) based cuffless continuous blood pressure monitoring technologies and prospect the challenges that need to be addressed in the future. Methods. Using Web of Science and PubMed as search engines, the literature on cuffless continuous blood pressure studies using PPG signals in the recent five years were searched. Results. Based on the retrieved literature, this paper describes the available open datasets, commonly used signal preprocessing methods, and model evaluation criteria. Early researches employed multisite PPG signals to calculate pulse wave velocity or time and predicted blood pressure by a simple linear equation. Later, extensive researches were dedicated to mine the features of PPG signals related to blood pressure and regressed blood pressure by machine learning models. Most recently, many researches have emerged to experiment with complex deep learning models for blood pressure prediction with the raw PPG signal as input. Conclusion. This paper summarized the methods in the retrieved literature, provided insight into the artificial intelligence algorithms employed in the literature, and concluded with a discussion of the challenges and opportunities for the development of cuffless continuous blood pressure monitoring technologies. Surgery is one of the larger wounds in conventional surgery, and patients often experience different pain and postural discomfort after surgery. With the ever-changing standards of medical care and patient care requirements, providing high-quality care to postoperative patients is an important measure to reduce complications and promote rapid recovery. However, in the traditional postsurgical nursing methods, there are often the phenomenon that wrong patients are connected, patient data is messy, and medicines are counted incorrectly, which directly leads to a rapid decline in nursing efficiency. In the context of the rapid development of artificial intelligence and big data, intelligent medical data analysis technology has gradually been integrated into the medical field. This paper analyzes and studies the application effect of intelligent medical data analysis technology in postoperative nursing. It is aimed at changing the traditional postoperative nursing methods and improving nursing efficiency, and it provides important suggestions for the development of postoperative nursing in the new era. Combining big data and Internet of Things technology, this paper builds a smart medical Internet of Things framework and an intelligent postoperative care system and uses machine learning algorithms to preprocess relevant medical data. Objective. Artificial intelligence-powered screening systems of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) are urgently demanding since the ongoing outbreak of SARS-CoV-2 worldwide. Chest CT or X-ray is not sufficient to support the large-scale screening of COVID-19 because mildly-infected patients do not have imaging features on these images. Therefore, it is imperative to exploit supplementary medical imaging strategies. Traditional Chinese medicine has played an essential role in the fight against COVID-19. Methods. In this paper, we conduct two kinds of verification experiments based on a newly-collected multi-modality dataset, which consists of three types of modalities: tongue images, chest CT scans, and X-ray images. First, we study a binary classification experiment on tongue images to verify the discriminative ability between COVID-19 and non-COVID-19. Second, we design extensive multimodality experiments to validate whether introducing tongue image can improve the screening accuracy of COVID-19 based on chest CT or X-ray images. Results. Tongue image screening of COVID-19 showed that the accuracy (ACC), sensitivity (SEN), specificity (SPEC), and Matthew correlation coefficient (MCC) of the improved AlexNet and Googlenet both reached 98.39%, 98.97%, 96.67%, and 99.11%. The fusion of chest CT and tongue images used a tandem multimodal classifier fusion strategy to achieve optimal classification, and the results and screening accuracy of COVID-19 reached 98.98%, resulting in a significant improvement of 4.75% the highest accuracy in 375 years compared with the single-modality model. The fusion of chest x-rays and tongue images also had good classification accuracy. Conclusions. Both experimental results demonstrate that tongue image not only has an excellent discriminative ability for screening COVID-19 but also can improve the screening accuracy based on chest CT or X-rays. To the best of our knowledge, it is the first work that verifies the effectiveness of tongue image on screening COVID-19. Disease diagnosis faces challenges such as misdiagnosis, lack of diagnosis, and slow diagnosis. There are several machine learning techniques that have been applied to address these challenges, where a set of symptoms is applied to a classification model that predicts the presence or absence of a disease. To improve on the performance of these techniques, this paper presents a technique which involves feature selection using principal component analysis (PCA), a hybrid kernel-based support vector machine (HKSVM) classification model and hyperparameter optimization using genetic algorithm (GA). The HKSVM in this paper introduces a new way of combining three kernels: Radial basis function (RBF), linear, and polynomial. Combining local (RBF) and global (linear and polynomial) kernels has the effect of improved model performance. This is because the local kernels are better able to distinguish points closer to each other while the global kernels are more suited to distinguish points that are far away from each other. The PCA-GA-HKSVM is used on 7 different medical datasets, with two datasets being multiclass datasets and 5 datasets being binary. Performance evaluation metrics used were accuracy, precision, and recall. It was observed that the PCA-GA-HKSVM offered better performance than the single kernel support vector machines (SVMs). Researchers in the past discussed the psychological issue like stress, anxiety, depression, phobias on various forms, and cognitive issues (e.g., positive thinking) together with personality traits on traditional research methodologies. These psychological issues vary from one human to other human based on different personality traits. In this paper, we discussed both psychological issues together with personality traits for predicting the best human capital that is mentally healthy and strong. In this research, we replace the traditional methods of research used in the past for judging the mental health of the society, with the latest artificial intelligence techniques to predict these components for attaining the best human capital. In the past, researchers have point out major flaws in predicting psychological issue and addressing a right solution to the human resource working in organizations of the world. In order to give solution to these issues, we used five different psychological issues pertinent to human beings for accurate prediction of human resource personality that effect the overall performance of the employee. In this regard, a sample of 500 data has been collected to train and test on computer through python for selecting the best model that will outperform all the other models. We used supervised AI techniques like support vector machine linear, support vector machine radial basis function, decision tree model, logistic regression, and neural networks. Results proved that psychological issue data from employee of different organizations are better means for predicting the overall performance based on personality traits than using either of them alone. Gait stability in exercise is an inevitable and vexing problem in mechanics, artificial intelligence, sports, and rehabilitation medicine research. With the rapid development and popularization of science and technology, it becomes a reality for researchers to obtain large-scale human motion data sets in real time with higher efficiency. However, at present, the analysis of gait stability of moving joints is still based on image recognition technology, which is ten times less accurate and inefficient. In this paper, Vicon 3D motion capture system, dynamometer, and surface electromyography system were used to obtain the parameters of the lower limbs of the subjects. Using Anywhere modeling and simulation system, simulation experiments were carried out, and the reaction force data of lower limb joints under two environments were obtained. The gait characteristics of human gait were analyzed from the angle of internal and external adjustment mechanism. Combining one-way ANOVA and incremental occupancy rate, the adjustment process of gait stability is described comprehensively. One of the main requirements for orthodontic treatment is continuous image acquisition. However, the conventional system of orthodontic image acquisition, which includes manual classification, archiving, and monitoring, is time-consuming and prone to errors caused by fatigue. This study is aimed at developing an effective artificial intelligence tool for the automated classification and monitoring of orthodontic images. We comprehensively evaluated the ability of a deep learning model based on Deep hidden IDentity (DeepID) features to classify and archive photographs and radiographs. This evaluation was performed using a dataset of >14,000 images encompassing all 14 categories of orthodontic images. Our model automatically classified orthodontic images in an external dataset with an accuracy of 0.994 and macro area under the curve of 1.00 in 0.08 min. This was 236 times faster than a human expert (18.93 min). Furthermore, human experts with deep learning assistance required an average of 8.10 min to classify images in the external dataset, much shorter than 18.93 min. The purpose of the paper was the assessment of the success of an artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm formed on a deep-convolutional neural network (D-CNN) model for the segmentation of apical lesions on dental panoramic radiographs. A total of 470 anonymized panoramic radiographs were used to progress the D-CNN AI model based on the U-Net algorithm (CranioCatch, Eskisehir, Turkey) for the segmentation of apical lesions. The radiographs were obtained from the Radiology Archive of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology of the Faculty of Dentistry of Eskisehir Osmangazi University. A U-Net implemented with PyTorch model (version 1.4.0) was used for the segmentation of apical lesions. In the test data set, the AI model segmented 63 periapical lesions on 47 panoramic radiographs. The sensitivity, precision, and F1-score for segmentation of periapical lesions at 70% IoU values were 0.92, 0.84, and 0.88, respectively. AI systems have the potential to overcome clinical problems. In this paper, in-depth research analysis of anti-hepatocellular carcinoma molecular targets for hepatocellular carcinoma diagnosis was conducted using artificial intelligence. Because BRD4 plays an important role in gene transcription for cell cycle regulation and apoptosis, tumor-targeted therapy by inhibiting the expression or function of BRD4 has received increasing attention in the field of antitumor research. Study subjects in small samples were used as the validation set for validating each diagnostic model constructed based on the training set. The diagnostic effect of each model in the validation set is evaluated by calculating the sensitivity, specificity, and compliance rate, and the model with the best and most stable diagnostic value is selected by combining the results of model construction, validation, and evaluation. The total sample was divided into a training set and test set by using a stratified sampling method in the ratio of 7 : 3. Logistic regression, weighted k -nearest neighbor, decision tree, and BP artificial neural network were used in the training set to construct diagnostic models for early-stage liver cancer, respectively, and the optimal parameters of the corresponding models were obtained, and then, the constructed models were validated in the test set. To evaluate the diagnostic efficacy, stability, and generalization ability of the four classification methods more robustly, a 10-fold crossover test was performed for each classification method. BRD4 is an epigenetic regulator that is associated with the upregulation of expression of various oncogenic drivers in tumors. Targeting BRD4 with pharmacological inhibitors has emerged as a novel approach for tumor treatment. However, before we implemented this topic, there were no detailed studies on whether BRD4 could be used for the treatment of HCC, the role of BRD4 in HCC cell proliferation and apoptosis, and the ability of small molecule BRD4 inhibitors to induce apoptosis in hepatocellular carcinoma cells. The sudden arrival of the new crown epidemic has had a significant and long-lasting impact on the division's economic environment as well as the production and operation activities of businesses. As far as the financial management is concerned, opportunities and difficulties are faced by enterprises of all types. With reference to the available research data, enterprises have an important contribution to GDP and jobs, but they still face a series of difficulties and challenges in their development in the context of the normalization of the epidemic. By analyzing the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic on the financial management work of enterprises, this paper proposes an artificial neural network-based enterprise financial forecasting and early warning method to provide an effective method for enterprise financial management. For the time-series characteristics of enterprise finances, a prediction model based on long- and short-term memory networks is developed which acknowledges the necessity of combining the temporal dimension with the spatial dimension for forecasting. This model incorporates time qualities into the data to the existing forecasting model. It also considers both working and nonworking day data and thoroughly considers the factors influencing corporate finance. Then, using BP neural network for financial risk prediction, nonfinancial index factors should be added to the financial early warning model thus eliminating the limitations of the financial early warning model. At the same time, the accuracy of the prediction can be improved which is more suitable for enterprises to apply in practice. The experimental results demonstrate that the financial prediction model built by multilayer feed forward neural networks and recurrent neural networks based on error back propagation training is inferior to the prediction model built by long- and short-term memory network. Regardless of the degree of fitting or prediction accuracy, the BP neural network model outperforms the conventional model for enterprise financial warning. Studies have shown that most patients after PCI cannot adhere to the cardiac rehabilitation program. The survey found that due to the lack of secondary prevention of cardiac rehabilitation, the phenomenon of drug reduction and withdrawal after PCI is very common after discharge, leading to recurrence of the patient's disease or worsen and repeated hospitalizations, so continuity of care is very important. In this paper, in addition to proposing a network care continuum with artificial intelligence handler in order to improve the healthcare system and provide new ideas for improving the postoperative recovery of CHD patients, we analyze the impact of PCI on the coronary heart disease patients' PCI postoperative quality of life. In the method part, this article introduces the concepts of continuation care and PCI after surgery, introduces the marker delivery algorithm in the field of artificial intelligence, and introduces the SF-36 scale for patient quality of life analysis. This article designs an experiment combining artificial intelligence processors to carry out network continuity care for patients and divides 100 eligible patients into an experimental group and a control group. In the analysis part, the two groups of patients were analyzed in terms of general data comparison, physical function, biochemical indicators, quality of life, and dependence. It can be seen from the experimental analysis that the anxiety and depression of the two groups of subjects have different degrees of decline. The HAMA value of the experimental group is 9.06 ± 0.77 , and the HAMD value is 9.18 ± 1.20 , which is significantly lower than that of the control group, P < 0.05. It can be seen that the use of network continuation care can reduce the negative emotions of patients more than general care. Through psychological counseling and postoperative follow-up, it can improve the optimism and positive emotions of the patients, reduce the negative emotions of the patients, and improve it to a certain extent. Objective. Internet of Things (IoT) integrates several technologies where devices learn from the experience of each other thereby reducing human-intervened likely errors. Modern technologies like IoT and machine learning enable the conventional to patient-specific approach transition in healthcare. In conventional approach, the biggest challenge faced by healthcare professionals is to predict a disease by observing the symptoms, monitoring the remote area patient, and also attending to the patient all the time after being hospitalised. IoT provides real-time data, makes decision-making smarter, and provides far superior analytics, and all these to help improve the quality of healthcare. The main objective of the work was to create an IoT-based automated system using machine learning models for symptom-based COVID-19 prognosis. Methods. Comparative analysis of predictive microbiology of COVID-19 from case symptoms using various machine learning classifiers like logistics regression, k-nearest neighbor, support vector machine, random forest, decision trees, Naïve Bayes, and gradient booster is reported here. For the sake of the validation and verification of the models, performance of each model based on the retrieved cloud-stored data was measured for accuracy. Results. From the accuracy plot, it was concluded that k-NN was more accurate (97.97%) followed by decision tree (97.79), support vector machine (97.42), logistics regression (96.50), random forest (90.66), gradient boosting classifier (87.77), and Naïve Bayes (73.50) in COVID-19 prognosis. Conclusion. The paper presents a health monitoring IoT framework having high clinical significance in real-time and remote healthcare monitoring. The global COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) pandemic, which was caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), has resulted in a significant loss of human life around the world. The SARS-CoV-2 has caused significant problems to medical systems and healthcare facilities due to its unexpected global expansion. Despite all of the efforts, developing effective treatments, diagnostic techniques, and vaccinations for this unique virus is a top priority and takes a long time. However, the foremost step in vaccine development is to identify possible antigens for a vaccine. The traditional method was time taking, but after the breakthrough technology of reverse vaccinology (RV) was introduced in 2000, it drastically lowers the time needed to detect antigens ranging from 5–15 years to 1–2 years. The different RV tools work based on machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI). Models based on AI and ML have shown promising solutions in accelerating the discovery and optimization of new antivirals or effective vaccine candidates. In the present scenario, AI has been extensively used for drug and vaccine research against SARS-COV-2 therapy discovery. This is more useful for the identification of potential existing drugs with inhibitory human coronavirus by using different datasets. Colorectal cancer is a high death rate cancer until now; from the clinical view, the diagnosis of the tumour region is critical for the doctors. But with data accumulation, this task takes lots of time and labor with large variances between different doctors. With the development of computer vision, detection and segmentation of the colorectal cancer region from CT or MRI image series are a great challenge in the past decades, and there still have great demands on automatic diagnosis. In this paper, we proposed a novel transfer learning protocol, called CST, that is, a union framework for colorectal cancer region detection and segmentation task based on the transformer model, which effectively constructs the cancer region detection and its segmentation jointly. To make a higher detection accuracy, we incorporate an autoencoder-based image-level decision approach that leverages the image-level decision of a cancer slice. We also compared our framework with one-stage and two-stage object detection methods; the results show that our proposed method achieves better results on detection and segmentation tasks. Purpose: Due to the excessive use of raw materials in diagnostic tools and equipment during the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a dire need for cheaper and more effective methods in the healthcare system. With the development of artificial intelligence (AI) methods in medical sciences as low-cost and safer diagnostic methods, researchers have turned their attention to the use of imaging tools with AI that have fewer complications for patients and reduce the consumption of healthcare resources. Despite its limitations, X-ray is suggested as the first-line diagnostic modality for detecting and screening COVID-19 cases., Method: This systematic review assessed the current state of AI applications and the performance of algorithms in X-ray image analysis. The search strategy yielded 322 results from four databases and google scholar, 60 of which met the inclusion criteria. With the continuous development of artificial intelligence technology, "brain-computer interfaces" are gradually entering the field of medical rehabilitation. As a result, brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) have been included in many countries' strategic plans for innovating this field, and subsequently, major funding and talent have been invested in this technology. In neurological rehabilitation for stroke patients, the use of BCIs opens up a new chapter in "top-down" rehabilitation. In our study, we first reviewed the latest BCI technologies, then presented recent research advances and landmark findings in BCI-based neurorehabilitation for stroke patients. In this study, we propose a technique for diagnosing both type 1 and type 2 diabetes in a quick, noninvasive way by using equipment that is easy to transport. Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that affects public health globally. Although diabetes mellitus can be accurately diagnosed using conventional methods, these methods require the collection of data in a clinical setting and are unlikely to be feasible in areas with few medical resources. This technique combines an analysis of fundus photography of the physical and physiological features of the patient, namely, the tongue and the pulse, which are used in Traditional Chinese Medicine. A random forest algorithm was used to analyze the data, and the accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 scores for the correct classification of diabetes were 0.85, 0.89, 0.67, and 0.76, respectively. Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a chronic autoimmune disease of the nervous system, which is still incurable. In recent years, with the progress of immunosuppressive and supportive treatment, the therapeutic effect of MG in the acute stage is satisfactory, and the mortality rate has been greatly reduced. However, there is still no consensus on how to conduct long-term management of stable MG, such as guiding patients to identify relapses, practice exercise, return to work and school, etc. In the international consensus guidance for management of myasthenia gravis published by the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America (MGFA) in 2020, for the first time, "the role of physical training/exercise in MG" was identified as the topic of discussion. Finally, due to a lack of high-quality evidence on physical training/exercise in patients with MG, the topic was excluded after the literature review. Therefore, this paper reviewed the current status of MG rehabilitation research and the difficulties faced by stable MG patients in self-management. The spread of COVID-19 worldwide continues despite multidimensional efforts to curtail its spread and provide treatment. Efforts to contain the COVID-19 pandemic have triggered partial or full lockdowns across the globe. This paper presents a novel framework that intelligently combines machine learning models and the Internet of Things (IoT) technology specifically to combat COVID-19 in smart cities. The purpose of the study is to promote the interoperability of machine learning algorithms with IoT technology by interacting with a population and its environment to curtail the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, the study also investigates and discusses some solution frameworks, which can generate, capture, store, and analyze data using machine learning algorithms. These algorithms can detect, prevent, and trace the spread of COVID-19 and provide a better understanding of the disease in smart cities. Similarly, the study outlined case studies on the application of machine learning to help fight against COVID-19 in hospitals worldwide. The framework proposed in the study is a comprehensive presentation on the major components needed to integrate the machine learning approach with other AI-based solutions. Finally, the machine learning framework presented in this study has the potential to help national healthcare systems in curtailing the COVID-19 pandemic in smart cities. Artificial intelligence technologies such as machine learning have been applied to protein engineering, with unique advantages in protein structure, function prediction, catalytic activity, and other issues in recent years. Screening better mutants is still a bottleneck in protein engineering. In this paper, a new sequence-activity relationship method was analyzed for its application in improving the thermal stability of Aspergillus terreus (R)-ω-selective amine transaminase. The experimental data from 6 single-point mutated enzymes were used as a learning dataset to build models and predict the thermostability of 26 mutants. Based on digital signal processing (DSP), this method digitized the amino acid sequence of proteins by fast Fourier transform (FFT) and then established the best model applying partial least squares regression (PLSR) to screen out all possible mutants, especially those with high performance. In protein engineering, the innovative sequence activity relationship (ISAR) method can make a reasonable prediction using limited experimental data and significantly reduce the experimental cost. The half-life ( T 1 / 2 ) of (R)-ω-transaminase was fitted with the amino acid sequence by the ISAR algorithm, resulting in an R 2 of 0.8929 and a cvRMSE of 4.89. At the same time, the mutants with higher T 1 / 2 than the existing ones were predicted, laying the groundwork for better (R)-ω-transaminase in the later stage. Discrete wavelet transform (DWT) is often implemented by an iterative filter bank; hence, a lake of optimization of a discrete time basis is observed with respect to time localization for a constant number of zero moments. This paper discusses and presents an improved form of DWT for feature extraction, called Slantlet transform (SLT) along with neutrosophy, a generalization of fuzzy logic, which is a relatively new logic. Thus, a novel composite NS-SLT model has been suggested as a source to derive statistical texture features that used to identify the malignancy of brain tumor. The MR images in the neutrosophic domain are defined using three membership sets, true (T), false (F), and indeterminate (I); then, SLT was applied to each membership set. Three statistical measurement-based methods are used to extract texture features from images of brain MRI. One-way ANOVA has been applied as a method of reducing the number of extracted features for the classifiers; then, the extracted features are subsequently provided to the four neural network classification techniques, Support Vector Machine Neural Network (SVM-NN), Decision Tree Neural Network (DT-NN), K -Nearest Neighbor Neural Network (KNN-NN), and Naive Bayes Neural Networks (NB-NN), to predict the type of the brain tumor. Meanwhile, the performance of the proposed model is assessed by calculating average accuracy, precision, sensitivity, specificity, and Area Under the Curve (AUC) of the Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed approach is quite accurate and efficient for diagnosing brain tumors when the Gray Level Run Length Matrix (GLRLM) features derived from the composite NS-SLT technique is used. One major limiting factor that prevents the accurate delineation of vessel boundaries has been the presence of blurred boundaries and vessel-like structures. Overcoming this limitation is exactly what we are concerned about in this paper. We describe a very different segmentation method based on a cascade-AdaBoost-SVM classifier. This classifier works with a vessel axis + cross-section model, which constrains the classifier around the vessel. This has the potential to be both physiologically accurate and computationally effective. To further increase the segmentation accuracy, we organize the AdaBoost classifiers and the Support Vector Machine (SVM) classifiers in a cascade way. And we substitute the AdaBoost classifier with the SVM classifier under special circumstances to overcome the overfitting issue of the AdaBoost classifier. The performance of our method is evaluated on synthetic complex-structured datasets, where we obtain high overlap ratios, around 91%. We also validate the proposed method on one challenging case, segmentation of carotid arteries over real clinical datasets. Network inference and local classification models have been shown to be useful in predicting newly potential drug-target interactions (DTIs) for assisting in drug discovery or drug repositioning. The idea is to represent drugs, targets, and their interactions as a bipartite network or an adjacent matrix. However, existing methods have not yet addressed appropriately several issues, such as the powerless inference in the case of isolated subnetworks, the biased classifiers derived from insufficient positive samples, the need of training a number of local classifiers, and the unavailable relationship between known DTIs and unapproved drug-target pairs (DTPs). Designing more effective approaches to address those issues is always desirable. In this paper, after presenting better drug similarities and target similarities, we characterize each DTP as a feature vector of within-scores and between-scores so as to hold the following superiorities: (1) a uniform vector of all types of DTPs, (2) only one global classifier with less bias benefiting from adequate positive samples, and (3) more importantly, the visualized relationship between known DTIs and unapproved DTPs. The effectiveness of our approach is finally demonstrated via comparing with other popular methods under cross validation and predicting potential interactions for DTPs under the validation in existing databases.

Humans are familiar with "diabetes," a chronic metabolic disease that causes resistance to insulin in the human body, and about 425 million cases worldwide. Diabetes is a hazard to human health since it can gradually cause significant damage to the heart, blood vessels, eyes, kidneys, and nerves. As a result, it is critical to recognize diabetes early on to minimize its negative consequences. Over the years, artificial intelligence (AI) technology and data mining methods are playing a crucial role in detecting diabetic patients. Considering this opportunity, we present a fine-tuned random forest algorithm with the best parameters (RFWBP) that is used with the RF algorithm and feature engineering to detect diabetes patients at an early stage. We have employed several data processing techniques (e.g., normalization, conversion into numerical data) to raw data during the prepossessing phase. After that, we further applied some data mining techniques, adding related characteristics to the primary dataset. Finally, we train the proposed RFWBP and conventional methods like the AdaBoost algorithm, support vector machine, logistic regression, naive Bayes, multilayer perceptron, and a regular random forest with the dataset. Furthermore, we also utilized 5-fold cross-validation to enhance the performance of the RFWBP classifier. The proposed RFWBP achieved an accuracy of 95.83% and 90.68% with and without 5-fold cross-validation, respectively. Moreover, the proposed RFWBP is compared with conventional machine learning methods to evaluate the performance. Background. Precisely predicting cancer is crucial for cancer treatment. Gene expression profiles make it possible to analyze patterns between genes and cancers on the genome-wide scale. Gene expression data analysis, however, is confronted with enormous challenges for its characteristics, such as high dimensionality, small sample size, and low Signal-to-Noise Ratio. Results. This paper proposes a method, termed RS_SVM, to predict gene expression profiles via aggregating SVM trained on random subspaces. After choosing gene features through statistical analysis, RS_SVM randomly selects feature subsets to yield random subspaces and training SVM classifiers accordingly and then aggregates SVM classifiers to capture the advantage of ensemble learning. Experiments on eight real gene expression datasets are performed to validate the RS_SVM method. Experimental results show that RS_SVM achieved better classification accuracy and generalization performance in contrast with single SVM, K-nearest neighbor, decision tree, Bagging, AdaBoost, and the state-of-the-art methods. Experiments also explored the effect of subspace size on prediction performance. Conclusions. Streptavidin is sometimes used as the intended target to screen phage-displayed combinatorial peptide libraries for streptavidin-binding peptides (SBPs). More often in the biopanning system, however, streptavidin is just a commonly used anchoring molecule that can efficiently capture the biotinylated target. In this case, SBPs creeping into the biopanning results are not desired binders but target-unrelated peptides (TUP). Taking them as intended binders may mislead subsequent studies. Therefore, it is important to find if a peptide is likely to be an SBP when streptavidin is either the intended target or just the anchoring molecule. In this paper, we describe an SVM-based ensemble predictor called SABinder. It is the first predictor for SBP. The model was built with the feature of optimized dipeptide composition. It was observed that 89.20% (MCC = 0.78; AUC = 0.93; permutation test, p<0.001) of peptides were correctly classified. As a web server, SABinder is freely accessible. The tool provides a highly efficient way to exclude potential SBP when they are TUP or to facilitate identification of possibly new SBP when they are the desired binders. Cryosection brain images in Chinese Visible Human (CVH) dataset contain rich anatomical structure information of tissues because of its high resolution (e.g., 0.167 mm per pixel). Fast and accurate segmentation of these images into white matter, gray matter, and cerebrospinal fluid plays a critical role in analyzing and measuring the anatomical structures of human brain. However, most existing automated segmentation methods are designed for computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging data, and they may not be applicable for cryosection images due to the imaging difference. In this paper, we propose a supervised learning-based CVH brain tissues segmentation method that uses stacked autoencoder (SAE) to automatically learn the deep feature representations. Specifically, our model includes two successive parts where two three-layer SAEs take image patches as input to learn the complex anatomical feature representation, and then these features are sent to Softmax classifier for inferring the labels. Experimental results validated the effectiveness of our method and showed that it outperformed four other classical brain tissue detection strategies. As an epidemic, COVID-19's core test instrument still has serious flaws. To improve the present condition, all capabilities and tools available in this field are being used to combat the pandemic. Because of the contagious characteristics of the unique coronavirus (COVID-19) infection, an overwhelming comparison with patients queues up for pulmonary X-rays, overloading physicians and radiology and significantly impacting the quality of care, diagnosis, and outbreak prevention. Given the scarcity of clinical services such as intensive care and motorized ventilation systems in the aspect of this vastly transmissible ailment, it is critical to categorize patients as per their risk categories. This research describes a novel use of the deep convolutional neural network (CNN) technique to COVID-19 illness assessment seriousness. Utilizing chest X-ray images as contribution, an unsupervised DCNN model is constructed and suggested to split COVID-19 individuals into four seriousness classrooms: low, medium, serious, and crucial with an accuracy level of 96 percent. In this study, VxWorks embedded real-time process feature is used for CT or MRI DICOM data to real restoration and establishment of virtual three-dimensional model for realizing volume reconstruction, maximum density projection, multiplane reconstruction, dynamic interactive cutting of any surface, dynamic display of three-dimensional model and two-dimensional sectional image, surgical path planning and interactive surgical simulation, and determine the best surgical scheme. The practical application shows that the virtual simulation environment supports the seamless transplantation of code, function debugging, and interaction and solves the issue of high requirements for hardware. A blood count is one of the most important diagnostic tools in medicine and one of the most common procedures. It can reveal important changes in the body and is commonly used as the first stage in the process of evaluating patients' health. Even though this is a common practice, delivering examinations in laboratories can be difficult due to the availability of expensive technology that requires frequent maintenance. This study is developing an alternative deep learning computational model capable of automatically detecting cells in images of blood samples. Using object detection libraries, it was possible to train a model that was focused on this task and capable of detecting cells in images with adequate accuracy. When the identification of cells in images of blood samples was taken into account in the best results obtained, it was possible to count white cells with an accuracy of one hundred percent, red cells with an accuracy of 89%, and platelets with an accuracy of 96%, which generated subsidies to develop the primary components of a blood count. The components that were supposed to classify the various types of white cells were not carried out due to the limits of the dataset provided. The lifespan of dental restorations is limited. Longevity depends on the material used and the different characteristics of the dental piece. However, it is not always the case that the best and longest lasting material is used since patients may prefer different treatments according to how noticeable the material is. Over the last 100 years, the most commonly used material has been silver amalgam, which, while very durable, is somewhat aesthetically displeasing. Our study is based on the collection of data from the charts, notes, and radiographic information of restorative treatments performed by Dr. Vera in 1993, the analysis of the information by computer artificial intelligence to determine the most appropriate restoration, and the monitoring of the evolution of the dental restoration. The data will be treated confidentially according to the Organic Law 15/1999 on 13 December on the Protection of Personal Data. This paper also presents a clustering technique capable of identifying the most significant cases with which to instantiate the case-base. In order to classify the cases, a mixture of experts is used which incorporates a Bayesian network and a multilayer perceptron; the combination of both classifiers is performed with a neural network. The epilepsies are a heterogeneous group of neurological disorders and syndromes characterised by recurrent, involuntary, paroxysmal seizure activity, which is often associated with a clinicoelectrical correlate on the electroencephalogram. The diagnosis of epilepsy is usually made by a neurologist but can be difficult to be made in the early stages. Supporting paraclinical evidence obtained from magnetic resonance imaging and electroencephalography may enable clinicians to make a diagnosis of epilepsy and investigate treatment earlier. However, electroencephalogram capture and interpretation are time consuming and can be expensive due to the need for trained specialists to perform the interpretation. Automated detection of correlates of seizure activity may be a solution. In this paper, we present a supervised machine learning approach that classifies seizure and nonseizure records using an open dataset containing 342 records. Our results show an improvement on existing studies by as much as 10% in most cases with a sensitivity of 93%, specificity of 94%, and area under the curve of 98% with a 6% global error using a k-class nearest neighbour classifier. The COVID-19 pandemic has been a global crisis affecting billions of people and causing countless economic losses. Different approaches have been proposed for combating this crisis, including both medical measures and technical innovations, e.g., artificial intelligence technologies to diagnose and predict COVID-19 cases. While there is much attention being paid to the USA and China, little research attention has been drawn to less developed countries, e.g., India. In this study, I conduct an analysis of the COVID-19 epidemic in India, with datasets collected from different sources. Several machine learning models have been built to predict the COVID-19 spread, with different combinations of input features, in which the Transformer is proven as the most precise one. I also find that the Facebook mobility dataset is the most useful for predicting the number of confirmed cases. Brain cancer is one of the cell synthesis diseases. Brain cancer cells are analyzed for patient diagnosis. Due to this composite cell, the conceptual classifications differ from each and every brain cancer investigation. In the gene test, patient prognosis is identified based on individual biocell appearance. Classification of advanced artificial neural network subtypes attains improved performance compared to previous enhanced artificial neural network (EANN) biocell subtype investigation. In this research, the proposed features are selected based on improved gene expression programming (IGEP) with modified brute force algorithm. Then, the maximum and minimum term survivals are classified by using PCA with enhanced artificial neural network (EANN). In this, the improved gene expression programming (IGEP) effectual features are selected by using remainder performance to improve the prognosis efficiency. This system is estimated by using the Cancer Genome Atlas (CGA) dataset. Simulation outputs present improved gene expression programming (IGEP) with modified brute force algorithm which achieves accurate efficiency of 96.37%, specificity of 96.37%, sensitivity of 98.37%, precision of 78.78%, F -measure of 80.22%, and recall of 64.29% when compared to generalized regression neural network (GRNN), improved extreme learning machine (IELM) with minimum redundancy maximum relevance (MRMR) method, and support vector machine (SVM).
