Abstract

The article presents a study on the activation of activin receptor type-2A (Acvr2a) as a T helper cell (Th17 cell)-specific gene induced during Th17 differentiation. It states that the expression of Acvr2a was inhibited when Th17 cell differentiation was inhibited by all tarans retinoic acid (ATRA) that induces regulatory T cell (Treg) differentiation. Results show that Acvr2a is a Th17 specific gene making Th17 cells.
