The Library Marketing Project Team of the Andalusian Association of Librarians presents a guide for a social media plan for libraries. This guide is intended for public libraries in search of a tool to assist the librarians who may want to use social networks as a means of effective communication with the library users. The stages and most relevant aspects for a social media plan are listed throughout the paper. The most relevant platforms for data retrieval are also mentioned. The paper reviews platforms that may supply relevant information for the knowledge of users, and platforms that may have data about our influence on users via the social media.
