Abstract

The article presents information related to the technological developments regarding microphone design. It is stated that the old designs were unique at the time as they raised the bar for performance. It is mentioned that an RCA ribbon mic can be counted on to sound good on brass while the U47c can generally be counted on to sound good on voices.
