The article discusses how Queensland Premier Campbell Newman plans to rejuvenate Queensland by slashing the public service and increasing taxes and focusing on the four economic pillars with the aim of cutting red tape and regulation. The state's economic pillars, including tourism, construction and agriculture, suffered badly following the financial crisis, with only mining unharmed.
