The article presents a research paper which investigates the time courses of the changes in lipophilic organochloride compound levels following the use of chlordane. The study uses the time course of changes in the plasma of components or metabolites of chlordane as lipophilic control compound. Result show that trans-nonachlor residue level was highest on the chlordane-derived compounds.

The article presents a study which examines the levels and effects of plasma oxychlordane and trans-nonachlor residues of pest control operators (PCOs). The study extracts chlordane and related compounds of plasma from blood samples of 17 occupational spraymen, who have chlordane exposure period of less than 10 years except to five persons. Result shows that oxychlordane and trans-nonachlor level in PCOs are significant to those with longer exposure compared to those with shorter exposure.
