The article focuses on equity issue in the discipline, and offer a potential solution and groups sociology generally recognizes as having legitimate grievances around both symbolic recognition and material redistribution. It mentions sessional faculty convey sociological knowledge through teaching, but are less active in shaping that corpus of knowledge through research and publication.
