The article discusses technological development in theatrical techniques. As the theater is an intensely practical art form, practitioners should quickly incorporate any new technology that becomes available and adapt it to serve their artistic intent. The coexistence of new technology and traditional skills challenges those who are training the next generation of technicians and craftspeople. However, despite the abundance of new technology, the most important things to teach has not changed. Whatever the budget and tools, the business in the theater is about creativity, collaboration and people.
