Given the critical role of human papillomavirus (HPV) in the cause of cervical cancer and other malignancies, there is a need for innovative approaches to preventing this infection. It has been shown that immunoinformatics is an important strategy in computational vaccinology. It is used to design new multi-epitope vaccines against different types of HPV and subsequent cervical cancer. This paper reviews the scope of the entire computational pipeline of HPV vaccine design, starting from data analysis at the genomic and proteomic levels and continuing to epitope predictions of the innate and adaptive immune systems. The search strategy was based on investigating original articles published in “Google Scholar" and “PubMed" from 2015 to 2023-2024. The terms "Immunoinformatics", "Bioinformatics", "Human papillomavirus (HPV)", "Vaccine design", "In silico vaccine design", "Multi-epitope vaccine design", "Vaccinology" and "HPV vaccine" were used to for this purpose. We discussed various essential tools involved in the computational design of the vaccine process, e.g., sequence analysis, epitope prediction, conservancy analysis, tertiary structure modeling, refinement, molecular docking, molecular dynamics (MD) simulation, and in silico cloning. This review article describes immunoinformatics methods that facilitate the design of a multi-epitope vaccine against HPV. Objective: The prevalence of neurological disorders often varies by sex, with conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) demonstrating notable differences in incidence. The aim of this study is to understand the molecular basis for these divergences in order to facilitate the creation of sex-specific therapeutic strategies. Materials and Methods: This study is a bioinformatic analysis of publicly available RNA sequencing datasets involving autism patients. The study utilized RNA sequencing data from postmortem human brains’ prefrontal cortex, including 38 neurotypical controls and 34 individuals with ASD. The sequencing data was obtained from previously published papers, and we downloaded the raw data from SRA. We investigated the molecular basis of sex-biased presentation in ASD through comprehensive transcriptomic analysis. Results: Comparative analysis of gene expression between male and female subjects, both autistic and unaffected, was conducted, using a significance level of ≤0.01. In autistic individuals, 136 genes demonstrated differential expression between sexes, predominantly upregulated in males, indicating a bias in male gene expression. Among these, 12 genes were identified as risk factors in the SFARI dataset. While most sex-biased genes were autosomal, expression differences on sex chromosomes were also observed in neurotypical subjects. Notable genes included TCF7L2, collagen family genes, and solute carrier family genes. In ASD males, extracellular matrix (ECM) organization emerged as a significant pathway, while immune-related processes were prominent in unaffected individuals. Conclusion: Our study highlights the impact of the ECM pathway in ASD, with notable differences between sexes, particularly in males. MIR424 shows promise as a potential biomarker for ASD in males. Recognizing the importance of sex differences in ASD transcriptomic research is crucial, as these variances provide insights into the disorder’s pathophysiology and may guide the development of more personalized treatments for both sexes. Objective: This paper aimed to investigate the PI3K/Akt/mTOR signal-pathway regulator factor-related lncRNA signatures (PAM-SRFLncSigs), associated with regulators of the indicated signaling pathway in patients with lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) undergoing immunotherapy. Materials and Methods: In this retrospective study, we employed univariate Cox, multivariate Cox, and least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression analyses to identify prognostically relevant long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), construct prognostic models, and perform Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) analyses. Subsequently, immunoassay and chemotherapy drug screening were conducted. Finally, the prognostic model was validated using the Imvigor210 cohort, and tumor stem cells were analyzed. Results: We identified seven prognosis-related lncRNAs (AC084757.3, AC010999.2, LINC02802, AC026979.2, AC024896.1, LINC00941 and LINC01312). We also developed prognostic models to predict survival in patients with LUAD. KEGG enrichment analysis confirmed association of LUAD with the PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway. In the analysis of immune function pathways, we discovered three good prognostic pathways (Cytolytic_activity, Inflammation-promoting, T_cell_co-inhibition) in LUAD. Additionally, we screened 73 oncology chemotherapy drugs using the "pRRophetic" algorithm. Conclusion: Identification of seven lncRNAs linked to regulators of the PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway provided valuable insights into predicting the prognosis of LUAD, understanding the immune microenvironment and optimizing immunotherapy strategies. Neural cells are the most important components of the nervous system and have the duty of electrical signal transmission. Damage to these cells can lead to neurological disorders. Scientists have discovered different methods, such as stem cell therapy, to heal or regenerate damaged neural cells. Dental stem cells are among the different cells used in this method. This review attempts to evaluate the effect of biomaterials mentioned in the cited papers on differentiation of human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSCs) into neural cells for use in stem cell therapy of neurological disorders. We searched international databases for articles about the effect of biomaterials on neuronal differentiation of hDPSCs. The relevant articles were screened by title, abstract, and full text, followed by selection and data extraction. Totally, we identified 731 articles and chose 18 for inclusion in the study. A total of four studies employed polymeric scaffolds, four assessed chitosan scaffolds (CS), two utilised hydrogel scaffolds, one investigation utilised decellularised extracellular matrix (ECM), and six studies applied the floating sphere technique. hDPSCs could heal nerve damage in regenerative medicine. In the third iteration of nerve conduits, scaffolds, stem cells, regulated growth factor release, and ECM proteins restore major nerve damage. hDPSCs must differentiate into neural cells or neuron-like cells to regenerate nerves. Plastic-adherent cultures, floating dentosphere cultures, CS, polymeric scaffolds, hydrogels, and ECM mimics have been used to differentiate hDPSCs. According to our findings, the floating dentosphere technique and 3D-PLAS are currently the two best techniques since they result in neuroprogenitor cells, which are the starting point of differentiation and they can turn into any desired neural cell. Objective: From the perspective of etiology, borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a multifactorial and complex disorder, hence our understanding about the molecular basis and signaling of this disorder is extremely limited. The purpose of this study was evaluating the relationship between BPD and the Monoacylglycerol lipase (MGLL) polymorphism rs782440 in the population of Hamadan, Iran. Materials and Methods: In this case-control study, 106 participants including 53 patients with BPD and 53 healthy control subjects were selected by psychiatrists in the Department of Psychiatry at Farshchian Sina Hospital in Hamadan. The BPD patients were selected based on the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) form for diagnosing BPD patients. For genotyping, polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was used to amplify the desired region including the MGLL intronic C>T single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) (rs782440) and afterward the amplicon was sequenced using the Sanger sequencing method. To determine the genotype of these patients, their sequences were aligned with the reference sequence of MGLL through the CLC genomic workbench software. Results: The results indicated that the frequency of TT in comparison to the CC genotype was significantly different (P=0.003) and the risk of BPD in change from the TT genotype to CC genotype was increased by 6.679%. Regarding the frequency of allele in this group, no significant difference was observed. Conclusion: This paper, has studied and reports for the first time, the association between MGLL SNP (rs782440) with BPD. The findings of the current research revealed that the TT genotype increases the risk of BPD compared to the CC genotype. Although recent progress in medicine has substantially reduced cardiovascular diseases (CVDs)-related mortalities, current therapeutics have failed miserably to be beneficial for all patients with CVDs. A wide array of evidence suggests that newly-introduced cell-free treatments (CFTs) have more reliable results in the improvement of cardiac function. The main regeneration activity of CFTs protocols is based on bypassing cells and using paracrine factors. In this article, we aim to compare various stem cell secretomes, a part of a CFTs strategy, to generalize their effective clinical outcomes for patients with CVDs. Data for this review article were collected from 70 published articles (original, review, randomized clinical trials (RCTs), and case reports/series studies done on human and animals) obtained from Cochrane, Science Direct, PubMed, Scopus, Elsevier, and Google Scholar) from 2015 to April 2020 using six keywords. Full-text/full-length articles, abstract, section of book, chapter, and conference papers in English language were included. Studies with irrelevant/insufficient/data, or undefined practical methods were excluded. CFTs approaches involved in growth factors (GFs); gene-based therapies; microRNAs (miRNAs); extracellular vesicles (EVs) [exosomes (EXs) and microvesicles (MVs)]; and conditioned media (CM). EXs and CM have shown more remarkable results than stem cell therapy (SCT). GF-based therapies have useful results as well as side effects like pathologic angiogenesis. Cell source, cell′s aging and CM affect secretomes. Genetic manipulation of stem cells can change the secretome’s components. Growing progression to end stage heart failure (HF), propounds CFTs as an advantageous method with practical and clinical values for replacement of injured myocardium, and induction of neovascularization. To elucidate the secrets behind amplifying the expansion rate of cells, increasing life-expectancy, and improving quality of life (QOL) for patients with ischemic heart diseases (IHDs), collaboration among cell biologist, basic medical scientists, and cardiologists is highly recommended. Considering HER2 as one of the well-known biomarkers in the cancer field, and published articles regarding serum levels of HER2, in this paper we tried to highlight the issue that most studies don’t stratify the HER-2 concentration of individuals in terms of gender. In this brief survey, healthy individuals with no prior non-communicable diseases were categorized as males (n=34) and females (n=43), and all samples were evaluated for plasma HER-2 levels at once. Surprisingly, the plasma level of HER-2 of healthy male individuals (mean= 2.28 ± 0.21 ng/mL) was significantly (P<0.0001) higher than the plasma level of HER-2 of healthy females (mean: 0.06 ± 0.09 ng/mL), with no overlap. Therefore, we suggest that more studies are required to re-check the cutoff values for HER-2 plasma levels based on gender since the clinical implications of a unique HER-2 cutoff for both genders may be seriously concerning. Objective: We performed this bibliometric analysis to identify global scientific research on the SARS-CoV-2 vaccines. Materials and Methods: This bibliometric analysis study inclusive search of English-language publications related to the SARS-CoV-2 vaccines was conducted in the Scopus, PubMed, and Dimensions databases without year limitations. The results of bibliometric analysis comprised a time-dependent citation density trend, the name of the journal, journal impact factor (IF), year of publication, type of article, category, subscription or affiliation, co-authorship, and cooccurrence network. Results: A study of the scientific literature from three databases (Scopus, PubMed, Dimensions) shows that investigators have focused more on studying the structure of the coronavirus at different levels (organismic, cellular, and molecular). In addition, the method of virus penetration into the cell and features of the influence of coronavirus on animals are well-studied. Various methods and strategies are being used to develop the vaccines, including both animal-tested methods and computer models. The Dimensions database is the most representative in terms of coverage of research on development of the SARS-CoV-2 vaccines. Conclusion: This research is a scientific investigation based on bibliometric analysis of papers related to the SARS-CoV-2 vaccines. The Dimensions database provides the most representative research coverage on the creation of a vaccine against coronavirus. It is characterized by a large number of formed verbose terms (length of more than four words) related to coronavirus, which makes it possible to track trends in the development of methods for creating a vaccine. There are a lot of data about the correlation of SARS-CoV-2 infection and hypertension (HTN), but most of them are in the increased risk of morbidity and mortality in patients with HTN. SARS-CoV-2 can interfere with host cells through the renin-angiotensin system (RAS) via the angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) receptor. RAS activation is associated with pro-inflammatory effects through the ACE/Ang II/ Angiotensin II type 1 receptor (AT1R) pathway or anti-inflammatory effects through ACE2/Ang1-7/Mas axis.
