First experience with two instruments - AWLS (overview of spheres of work life, M. P. Leiter) and MBI-GS (Maslach's burnout inventory) - in Czech health and social institutions are presented. The goal of the research was to describe the relation of employee and employer as an indicator of organizational culture and its impact on satisfaction and mental health of employees by means of these instruments. The psychometric characteristics of questionnaires in this study do not markedly differ from those described in original versions or accessible translations. First results suggest interesting differences between monitored workers in the social and health sectors, especially in values attributed to their organizations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
