Abstract

A tandem process of multiple C-H activation and intermolecular highly meta-selective C-H amination between amidines and alkynes has been developed. Mechanistic studies demonstrate that the reaction is proposed to proceed through two different Rh(i)-Rh(iii) catalytic cycles, wherein Rhodium-complex I and Rhodacycle intermediate II were isolated for the first time.

Abstract

A cage-based anionic Na(I)–organic framework with a unique Na9 cluster-based secondary building unit and a cage-in-cage structure was constructed. The selective separation of dyes with different charges and sizes was investigated. Furthermore, the Rh6G@MOF composite could be applied as a recyclable fluorescent sensor for detecting picric acid (PA) with high sensitivity and selectivity.

Abstract

The single-crystal to single-crystal (SC–SC) transformation from a 1D coordination chain to a 3D coordination network, which is triggered by both solvent and anion exchanges, has been revealed to suffer from a tandem mechanism as proved by isolation of the intermediate state. The resulting porous crystalline material shows a high efficiency for the capture of dichromates (207 mg g−1) via the SC–SC anion-exchange.

Abstract

Tunable electrochemical biosensors based on analogous Zr-MOFs were developed for protein detection, the performances of which rely on the pore sizes and surroundings of the MOFs that show diverse binding behaviors to aptamers and then the targeted proteins. The optimized Zr-MOF-based sensor has high selectivity to lysozyme in a wide concentration range and a low detection limit of 3.6 pg mL−1, with good repeatability, stability, and applicability in real samples. This work will establish a new platform for biosensing and extend the application scope of MOF materials.

A 3-fold interpenetrated Ag(i) coordination framework can exhibit dual structure evolution behaviours driven by distinct anion-exchange courses in which irreversible single-crystal to single-crystal transformation occurs, resulting in a switching of network interpenetration degree (from 3-fold to 2-fold).
