Abstract

By using low-temperature scanning tunnelling microscopy and spectroscopy, ligand field theory and density functional theory calculations, we revealed the spatial distribution and energy separation of the nonbonding and antibonding orbitals associated with the top-Ni atoms in a surface-supported Ni-TPyP metal–organic framework with dinuclear coordination centres. Abstract

A crystalline iceplant-like nano-NaVPO4F@graphene composite is successfully synthesized by a freeze-drying process. Graphene forms a lamellar structure wherein NaVPO4F nanoparticles are uniformly adhered to the surface of graphene. The composite displays an intercalation-type reaction mechanism and excellent cycling and rate performance. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
