Abstract: A Cu metal‐organic framework (MOF), [Cu4(PMTD)2(H2O)3]⋅20 H2O, 1, (where PMTD is 1,4‐phenylenebis(5‐methyl‐4H‐1,2,4‐triazole‐3,4‐diyl)bis(5‐carboxylato‐3,1‐phenylene)bis(hydroperoxymethanide)), with a rare chiral Oh‐type cage, and dual functionalities of open metal sites and Lewis basic sites, based on a designed U‐shaped ligand, was synthesized by hydrothermal methods. It exhibits high CO2, C2, and C3 hydrocarbon storage capacity under atmospheric pressure, as well as high H2 (1.96 wt.%) adsorption capacity at 77 K. Methane purification capacity was tested and verified step by step. Isosteric heats (Qst) studies reveal that CH4 has the weakest van der Waals host–guest interactions among the seven gases at 298 K. Ideal adsorbed solution theory (IAST) calculation reveals that compound 1 is more selective toward CO2, C2H6, and C3H8 over CH4 in further calculating its separation capacity, as exemplified for CO2/CH4 (50:50, 5:95), C2H6/CH4 (50:50, 5:95), or C3H8/CH4 (50:50, 5:95) binary gas mixtures. Breakthrough experiments show that 1 has a significantly higher adsorption capacity for CO2, C2H6, and C3H8 than CH4. Abstract: In this work, a series of three‐dimensional porous flower‐like zinc doped NiCo2O4 (ZNCO) nanostructures with different Zn doping level are successfully prepared by a facile solvothermal process without using any templets. The obtained products are characterized by various techniques, and their electrocatalytic performances are also assessed by the oxygen evolution reaction (OER). According to the electrochemical characterization, it is demonstrated that ZNCO‐0.15 (i.e., Zn0.15Ni0.85Co2O4) nanoflowers show a lower overpotential, smaller Tafel slope, higher electrochemical active surface area (ECSA), as well as a larger turnover frequency (TOF) value than those of Co3O4, NiCo2O4, and ZnCo2O4 nanoflowers, indicating that introduction of an optimal content of zinc ions plays an important role in enhancing electrocatalytic performances for OER. The enhanced OER performance of ZNCO‐0.15 could be attributed to the increased number of active sites (Co3+), accelerated kinetic rate, and promoted conductivity of the catalyst with the incorporation of zinc ions. Two new isostructural 3D lanthanide-organic frameworks [H2N(Me)2] [Ln3(OH)(bpt)3(H2O)3] (DMF)2⋅(H2O)4 ( 1-Ln; Ln=Sm and Eu) with a 1D channel (25 Å) have been successfully assembled from the rare trinuclear [Ln3(OH)(COO)9] clusters and biphenyl-3,4′,5-tricarboxylic acid (H3bpt) and exhibit high stability towards water in the pH range 3-10. MOF 1-Eu is a promising luminescent probe for sensing Fe3+ in aqueous solution and is also selective towards rhodamine B (RhB) with a superior adsorption capacity of 735 mg g−1, which is the highest among the reported Ln-MOFs for RhB removal so far. We report the synthesis of sandwich-structured graphene-nickel silicate-Ni ternary composites by using the solvothermal method followed by a simple in situ reduction procedure. The composites show an interesting structure with graphene sandwiched between two layers of well-dispersed Ni nanoparticles (NPs) anchored on ultrathin nickel silicate nanosheets. These ternary composites exhibit enhanced performance as anode materials owing to the synergistic effect between the graphene matrix and electrochemically inert Ni nanoparticles, an effect that holds promise for the design and fabrication of other advanced electrode materials. Monodisperse water-soluble hexagonal phase Ln3+-doped NaGdF4 upconverting nanocrystals (UCNCs) have been successfully fabricated by means of a fast, facile, and environmentally friendly microwave-assisted route with polyethylenimine as the surfactant. Fine-tuning of the UC emission from visible to near-IR and finally to white light has been achieved. Furthermore, studies of the magnetic resonance imaging as well as the magnetization (magnetization-magnetic field curves) and the targeted recognition properties of FA-coupled amine-functionalized NaGdF4@SiO2 UCNCs indicate that the obtained NaGdF4 UCNCs can be potential candidates for dual-mode optical/magnetic bioapplications.
