A new anthraquinone, cappariquinone A (1), along with four known compounds, 2-hydroxy-1-methoxy-3-methylanthraquinone (2), vanillic acid (3), pyrogallic acid (4), and ergosterol (5), were isolated from the whole plant of Capparis himalayensis. The compounds 2, 4, and 5 are reported from this species for the first time.
