The fully developed turbulence can be regarded as a nonlinear system, with wave coupling inside, which causes the nonlinear energy to transfer, and drives the turbulence to develop further or be suppressed. Spectral analysis is one of the most effective methods to study turbulence system. In order to apply it to the study of the nonlinear wave coupling process of edge plasma turbulence, an efficient algorithm based on spectral analysis technology is proposed to solve the nonlinear wave coupling equation. The algorithm is based on a mandatory temporal static condition with the nonideal spectra separated from the ideal spectra. The realization idea and programing flow are given. According to the characteristics of plasma turbulence, the simulation data are constructed and used to verify the algorithm and its implementation program. The simulation results and experimental results show the accuracy of the algorithm and the corresponding program, which can play a great role in the studying the energy transfer in edge plasma turbulences. As an application, the energy cascade analysis of typical edge plasma turbulence is carried out by using the results of a case calculation. Consequently, a physical picture of the energy transfer in a kind of fully developed turbulence is constructed, which confirms that the energy transfer in this turbulent system develops from lower-frequency region to higher-frequency region and from linear growing wave to damping wave.

Investigation of neoclassical tearing mode and its suppression by electron cyclotron current drive (ECCD) has been carried out in HL-2M tokamak. The current driving capability of the electron cyclotron wave is evaluated. It is found that the deposition location can be effectively controlled by changing the poloidal angle. The validation of electron cyclotron wave heating and current driving has been demonstrated for the upper launcher port. We show that 3.0 MW and 2.5 MW modulated ECCD can completely stabilize (2,1) and (3,2) NTMs, respectively. The non-modulated ECCD, radial misalignment as well as current profile broadening have deleterious effect on the NTM stabilization. The time required for suppression of (3,2) mode is shorter than that required for the suppression of (2,1) mode. Moreover, the time needed for complete stabilization at different initial island width has been quantitatively presented and analyzed.

It is desirable to have electromagnetic wave absorbers with ultrathin structural thickness and broader spectral absorption bandwidth with numerous applications in optoelectronics. In this paper, we theoretically propose and numerically demonstrate a novel ultrathin nanostructure absorber composed of semiconductor nanoring array and a uniform gold substrate. The results show that the absorption covers the entire visible light region, achieving an average absorption rate more than 90% in a wavelength range from 300 nm to 740 nm and a nearly perfect absorption from 450 nm to 500 nm, and the polarization insensitivity performance is particularly great. The absorption performance is mainly caused by the electrical resonance and magnetic resonance of semiconductor nanoring array as well as the field coupling effects. Our designed broadband visible light absorber has wide application prospects in the fields of thermal photovoltaics and photodetectors.

As an important member of the two-dimensional layers of metal dichalcogenides family, the two-dimensional (2D) group IV metal chalcogenides (GIVMCs) have been attracting intensive attention. However, the growth of monolayer tin disulfide (SnS2) remains a great challenge contrasted to transition metal dichalcogenides, which have been studied quite maturely. Till date, there have been scant reports on the growth of large-scale and large-size monolayer SnS2. Here, we successfully synthesized monolayer SnS2 crystal on SiO2/Si substrates via NaCl-assisted CVD and the edge can be as long as 80 μm. Optical microscope, Raman spectroscopy, x-ray diffraction, atomic force microscopy (AFM), and energy-dispersion x-ray (EDX) were performed respectively to investigate the morphology, crystallographic structure, and optical property of the 2D SnS2 nanosheets. In addition, we discussed the growing mechanism of the NaCl-assisted CVD method.

To date, many efforts have been made to improve the performance of paintable carbon-based (PC-based) perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Though great progress has been achieved, their power conversion efficiencies are still relatively low compared with hole-transport-materials-based PSCs. General research on influencing factors of performance in PC-based PSCs is still insufficient. In this work, PC-based PSCs were fabricated in ambient air and four groups of controlled experiments were performed in which the PbI2 layers were prepared with or without antisolvent extraction treatment. These four groups of experiments were designed to find out the effect of different influencing factors on PC-based PSCs performance, for example, PbI2 residual, the surface morphology of the perovskite film, the surface roughness of the perovskite film, and the contact status of the perovskite/carbon electrode interface. With a systematic analysis, we demonstrated that the contact status of the perovskite/carbon electrode interface played a vital role in PC-based PSCs, and a flat, smooth perovskite surface could help to improve this contact status significantly. Besides, on the precondition of a poor contact interface, no PbI2 residual and a good surface morphology only brought limited benefits to the performances of PC-based PSCs.

A class of generalized Vakhnemko equation is considered. First, we solve the nonlinear differential equation by the homotopic mapping method. Then, an approximate soliton solution for the original generalized Vakhnemko equation is obtained. By this method an arbitrary order approximation can be easily obtained and, similarly, approximate soliton solutions of other nonlinear equations can be acquired.

This paper consider a class of perturbed mechanism for the western boundary undercurrents in the Pacific. The model of generalized governing equations is studied. Using the perturbation method, it constructs the asymptotic solution of the model. And the accuracy of asymptotic solution is proved by the theory of differential inequalities. Thus the uniformly valid asymptotic expansions of the solution are obtained.

The obvious circular dichroism (CD) and optical activity can be obtained based on the chiral metamaterial due to the plasmon-enhanced effect, which is very attractive for future compact devices with enhanced capabilities of light manipulation. In this paper, we propose a dual-chiral metamaterial composed of bilayer asymmetric split ring resonators (ASRR) that are in mirror-symmetry shape. It is demonstrated that the CD can get enhancement in the terahertz regime. Moreover, the CD can be further improved by modulating the asymmetry of ASRR. The enhanced CD effect in the terahertz regime has great potential applications in sensing, biomedical imaging, and molecular recognition.

The capabilities of current drive, neoclassical tearing mode (NTM) stabilization, and sawtooth control are analyzed for the electron–cyclotron wave (ECW) system in a HL-2M tokamak. Better performance of the upper launcher is demonstrated in comparison with that of a dropped upper launcher, in terms of J EC/J bs for NTM stabilization and I ECCD/(Δρ tor)2 for sawtooth control. 1-MW ECW power is enough for the 3/2 NTM stabilization, and 1.8-MW ECW power is required to suppress 2/1 NTM in a single null divertor equilibrium with 1.2-MA toroidal current with the upper launcher. Optimization simulation of electron–cyclotron current drive (ECCD) is carried out for three mirrors in an equatorial port, indicating that the middle mirror has a good performance compared with the top and bottom mirrors. The results for balanced co- and counter-ECCD in an equatorial port are also presented.

Using the trial equation method, a Broer—Kau—Kupershmidt (BKK) mechanism physical model is obtained, and the exact and approximate solitary traveling wave solutions are found. As an example, it is pointed out that the solitary traveling wave approximate solutions have better accurate degree by using the homotopic mapping theory.

A time delay model of a two-layer barotropic ocean with Rayleigh dissipation is built. Using the improved perturbation method, an analytic asymptotic solution of a better approximate degree is obtained in the mid-latitude wind field, and the physical meaning of the corresponding solution is also discussed.

A class of singularly perturbed initial boundary value problems of reaction diffusion equations for the nonlinear boundary condition with two parameters is considered. Under suitable conditions, by using the theory of differential inequalities, the existence and the asymptotic behaviour of the solution for the initial boundary value problem are studied. The obtained solution indicates that there are initial and boundary layers and the thickness of the boundary layer is less than the thickness of the initial layer.

Electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) is obtained in a symmetric U-shaped metamaterial, which is attributed to the simultaneously excited dual modes in a single resonator under lateral incidence. A large group index accompanied with a sharp EIT-like transparency window offers potential applications for slowing down light and sensing.

Giant resonance enhancement is demonstrated to be due to the Fano interference in a grating waveguide composed of gain-assisted silicon slabs. The Fano mode is characterized by its ultra-narrow asymmetric spectrum, different from that of a pure electric or magnetic dipole. The simulation indicates that a sharp Fano-interfered lineshape is responsible for the giant resonance enhancement featuring the small-gain requirements.

A weak nonlinear model of a two-layer barotropic ocean with Rayleigh dissipation is built. The analytic asymptotic solution is derived in the mid-latitude stationary wind field, and the physical meaning of the corresponding problem is discussed.

The EI Nino-southern oscillation (ENSO) is an interannual phenomenon involved in tropical Pacific ocean-atmosphere interactions. In this paper, we develop an asymptotic method of solving the nonlinear equation using the ENSO model. Based on a class of the oscillator of the ENSO model, a approximate solution of the corresponding problem is studied employing the perturbation method.
