4. Identification of Y (4008), Y (4140), Y (4260), and Y (4360) as Tetraquark States

Abstract

Within the framework of a color flux-tube model with a four-body confinement potential, the tetraquark states [cq][c¯q¯] (q = u or d) with I JPC = 01− − are systematically investigated. The numerical results indicate that states Y (4008), Y (4140), Y (4260), and Y (4360) can be uniformly described as tetraquark states [cq][c¯q¯] with n2S+1 LJ of 11 P1, 15 P1, 25 P1 and 15F1, respectively, in the color flux-tube model. They are compact three-dimensional spatial configurations similar to a rugby ball, higher orbital angular momentum L, more prolate. The four-body confinement interaction based on a color flux-tube picture should be responsible for the formation of those compact tetraquark states.

Abstract

A low-voltage-driven digital-droplet-transporting chip with an open structure is designed, fabricated and characterized. The digital microfluidic chip is fabricated by the silicon planar process. Using only a single electrode panel, the droplet on the chip can be manipulated by electrostatic force under a dc driving voltage. The actuation principle is proposed and verified by the experiment. The experimental results show that the minimum driving voltage decreases as the thickness of the dielectric layer decreases. The driving voltage for a 3 μL deionized (DI) water droplet is reduced to 15 V in air and 13.5 V in oil by employing a thin dielectric layer of 600 nm with a high dielectric constant and a coating hydrophobic layer on the top. The DI water droplets are also demonstrated to be transported in two dimensions smoothly in a programmable manner, and the maximum transport speed reaches 96 mm/s. The droplets of normal saline, a solution of 0.9 wt% NaCl, are also successfully manipulated on the chip.

Abstract

A series of cubic phase Co3O4 nano-leaves were prepared via a combined approach of solution reaction and calcination. According to x-ray diffraction and electron microscopy, we find that the Co3O4 grain size increases with calcination temperature. This can induce many gaps in the products. M-T and M-H magnetization measurements reveal the typical antiferromagnetic behavior of nano-leaves. The effective moments of the samples prepared at 300, 400 and 500°C are 5.6, 5.8 and 5.7μB per formula unit (FU), respectively, larger than the bulk value of 4.14μB/FU.

Abstract

We design two novel waveguides in membrane-stack photonic crystals and obtain their dispersion characteristics by the three-dimensional (3D) plane wave-expansion method. The 3D photon control phenomena are demonstrated, in which light is incident on the crystal and is bent both horizontally and vertically. Then light is split into two and is finally emitted from the other side of the crystal. A 3D splitter is realized. We also present a nanocavity to trap photons. With waveguides of different directions and nanocavities, the arbitrary 3D photon manipulation has been demonstrated. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

The spallation behaviors of Al+0.2 wt% B targets and neutron irradiated Al+0.2 wt% B targets with 5 nm radius helium bubble subjected to direct laser ablation are presented. It is found that the spall strength increases significantly with the tensile strain rate, and the helium bubble or boron inclusions in aluminum reduces the spall strength of materials by 34%. However, slight difference is observed in the spall strength of unirradiated samples compared with the irradiated sample with helium bubbles. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
