We present kth-order entanglement measure and global kth-order entanglement measure for multipartite pure states, and extend Bennett's measure of partial entropy for bipartite pure states to a multipartite case. These measures are computable and can effectively classify and quantify the entanglement of multipartite pure states.

We propose a protocol for implementation of nonlocal CNOT operation using a partially entangled channel and show that when partially entangled pairs are taken as quantum channels, the nonlocal CNOT operation can be implemented probabilistically by introducing a collective unitary transformation. The required resources for implementation of the nonlocal CNOT operation in this case are discussed. We also point out that the nonlocal CNOT operation can be used as a purification protocol to concentrate entanglement from an ensemble of partially entangled particles into a subensemble of maximally entanglement ones.

Rare-earth ions Tb3+ and La3+ were used as a bridge to improve the energy transfer from the polymer to an Eu complex. The material Tb(La)0.5Eu0.5(BSA)3phen was synthesized and used as the emission layer in the device: ITO/PVK:Tb(La)0.5Eu0.5(BSA)3phen/Alq/Al. The two device were compared in detail and it was found that the device using La0.5Eu0.5(BSA)3phen as the emission material had better monochromatic characteristics with the maximal brightness of 102 cd/m2 and the colour coordinates x = 0.55 and y = 0.36.

We study the 1→N faithful telecloning of two linear-independent states of a one-qubit system. Based on the analysis of the probabilistic cloning machine, we construct a multiparticle entangled state, and present a telecloning scheme under local operations and classical communication (LOCC). The success probability is greater than half of the optimal probability of the probabilistic cloning machine. Specifically, we show how to prepare the three-particle entangled state needed by 1→2 telecloning under LOCC using the Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger state as a resource. All the operations in 1→2 telecloning are within the reach of current technology.

We discuss teleportation of unitary operations on a two-qubit in detail, then generalize the bidirectional state teleportation scheme from one-qubit to M-qubit unitary operations. The resources required for the optimal implementation of teleportation of an M-qubit unitary operation using a bidirectional state teleportation scheme are given.

We investigate remote state preparation (RSP) via a non-maximally entangled channel for three cases: a general qubit; a special ensemble of qubits (qubit states on the equator of the Bloch sphere); and an asymptotic limit of N copies of a general state. The results show that the classical communication cost of RSP for the two latter cases can be less than that of teleportation, but for the first case, in a restricted setting, the classical communication cost is equal to that of teleportation. Whether or not this is the case for a more general setting is still an open question.

A scheme for the teleportation of an arbitrary two-particle state via two non-maximally entangled particle pairs is proposed. We show that teleportation can be successfully realized with a certain probability if the receiver adopts an appropriate unitary-reduction strategy. A specific strategy is provided in detail. The probability of successful teleportation is determined by the smaller coefficients of the two entangled pairs.

We prove in theorems 2 and 3 that for 1D Bosons with repulsive delta function interaction with any number of components and any Young tableau, the energy per particle as N → ∞ is the same as for spinless Bosons.

The ground state energy curves of one-dimensional δ-function interacting bose and fermi gas are fitted with simple algebraic approximations according to their asymptotic behaviors.
