Diffuse dermal angiomatosis ( DDA) is a rare condition characterized by endothelial proliferation in the reticular dermis. Several diseases have been associated with DDA, including peripheral arterial disease ( PAD). We report two cases of DDA associated with PAD. Patient 1 was a 71-year-old woman, who presented with painful necrotic ulcerations on her trunk and a medical history of PAD. Skin biopsy revealed a dermal proliferation of endothelial cells, and despite medical treatment, she died 1 month later. Patient 2 was an 81-year-old man, who presented with an erythematous, bluish plaque of the shoulder. He was a heavy smoker, with severe PAD. Biopsy showed dermal capillary hyperplasia, with a few fibrin thrombi, and follow-up only was recommended. In both cases, laboratory tests and Doppler ultrasonography ruled out other thrombotic conditions and vascularitis. DDA is a rare complication of PAD, and the optimum medical treatment remains to be clarified, especially when revascularization has failed or is not possible, as in our cases. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

We present the case of a 54-year-old patient with renal transplant who developed unusual vascular changes on the forearm distal to a functioning arteriovenous fistula, as well as a painful ulcerated lesion on her anterior abdominal wall. We believe that the diffuse dermal angioendotheliomatosis variant of reactive angioendotheliomatosis had a role in the pathogenesis of this patient's lesions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article describes the case of a 31-year-old woman with diffuse angiomatosis with severe facial disfigurement. Topics discussed include her physical examination which revealed massive swellings on the patient's face and neck, her histology which showed a proliferation of large thick-walled vessels and thinner-walled, oddly-shaped vessels located in the deep dermis and subcutaneous tissue, and the two types of histological patterns seen in angiomatosis.

Eccrine angiomatous hamartoma is a rare cutaneous lesion. Histologically it is characterized by the proliferation of eccrine glands, vascular structures and occasionally other elements in the middle and deep dermis; we now report seven further cases of this condition, two with lipomatous involvement and also discuss its nosology. Bacillary epithelioid angiomatosis (BEA) is a rare cutaneous disorder usually affecting patients with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection often misdiagnosed as a vascular tumour. We describe a 51-year-old, HIV-positive, Caucasian, homosexual male who developed scattered papulo-nodular lesions with clinicopathological and ultrastructural features of BEA. He had a dramatic therapeutic response to systemic antibiotics. There has been a lack of such reports in the European literature. An East Indian infant with Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome and Sturge Weber syndrome is described. This infant also had giant Mongolian spots, hypoplastic larynx and subglottic stenosis. The association of hypoplastic larynx and subglottic stenosis with Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome and Sturge-Weber syndrome has not been reported previously. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A 23-year-old man with angiomatous lesions on the left half of the body) varicose veins and hypertrophy of soft tissue and bone of the left upper limb is reported. Of particular interest was the association with angiomatous lesions on the left half of the face with visual disturbance. The combination of Klippel-Trênaunay-Weber syndrome and an incomplete form of Sturge-Weber syndrome could suggest a nosological relationship. The Klippel-Trônaunay-Weber (KTW) syridrome is characteriscd by cutaneous angiomas, generally of the capillary type, varicose veins and hypertrophy of soft tissues and bones, usually of a single limb. Our case presents clinical manifestations of this rare syndrome associated with angiomatous lesions on the left half of the face in the area of trigeminal nerve, and visual disturbance of the left eye. We report the eruption of multiple angiomata in four patients with the following malignant diseases: Hodgkin's disease, chronic lymphatic leukaemia, probable disseminated melanoma, and multiple myeloma. In three cases the lesions were capillary haemangiomata, closely resembling granuloma pyogenicmn, while in the fourth they were cavernous haemangiomata. In three cases no malignant cells were seen in the lesions, while there was a lymphocytic infiltrate in the lesions of the patient with lymphatic leukaemia. Eccrine angiomatous hamartoma (EAH) is a lesion that tends to appear as a plaque or nodular single lesion that may be painful and/or hyperhidrotic. Histopathologically, EAH is manifested by lobules of mature eccrine glands and ducts closely associated with well-differentiated, thin-walled blood vessels. Rarely, EAH can present as a macular hyperhidrotic lesion following a segmental distribution. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article presents a case study of a 47-year-old Japanese woman with a rapidly growing skin lesion over the left upper arm and forearm. The patient's histological examination of a biopsy specimen taken from the lesion showed multiple separated cellular lobules scattered throughout the dermis in a cannonball distribution. Moreover, it mentions that a diagnosis of tufted angioma was made.

A case of eccrine angiomatous naevus in a 34-year-old pregnant woman is described. The tumour was located on the dorsal aspect of the distal phalanx of the left little finger causing severe pain. Partial resection provided no improvement and finally amputation was necessary. Histological examination revealed the typical appearance of an eccrinc angiomatous hamartoma with a large number of eccrine ducts combined with vascular structures. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
