Abstract We consider the (3+1)-dimensional Boiti–Leon–Manna–Pempinelli equation, which can be used to describe the incompressible fluid. We derive the Hirota bilinear form of the equation via the Bell polynomial. By using Hirota's direct method, we obtain the N -soliton wave solutions of the equation. Based on the resulting Hirota's bilinear equation, we directly derive the breather wave solutions and rational solutions of the equation. Moreover, we employ the long wave limit method to derive the first-order and second-order rational solutions. In order to better understand the dynamical behaviors of the equation, we provide some graphical analyses to discuss the properties for the dynamic behaviors of these solutions. Abstract We consider the Heisenberg ferromagnetic spin chain equation, which is governed by the (2+1)-dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger-type equation. Based on the Ablowitz–Kaup–Newell–Segur frame, we study the integrability of the equation by deriving its Lax pair and infinite conservation laws. By introducing a potential transformation, we obtain its Hirota bilinear form and soliton solutions. Based on the resulting lax pair, we construct Darboux transformation and multi-soliton solutions of the equation. Furthermore, we also find the other type of soliton solutions for the equation by considering its Bäcklund transformation. Finally, we discuss the linear stability analysis by considering its stability condition for the stationary solution of the equation, which can be used to analyze modulation instability. The technique presented in this work is analytical, which can be used to enrich the dynamical of the Heisenberg ferromagnetic spin chain equation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

We consider a (2+1)-dimensional generalized breaking soliton (gBS) equation, which describes the interaction of the Riemann wave propagated along the y -axis with a long wave propagated along the x -axis. By using Bell’s polynomials, we derive a bilinear form of the gBS equation. Based on the resulting Hirota’s bilinear equation, we explicitly construct its soliton solutions. Furthermore, by using the extended homoclinic test theory, its homoclinic breather waves and rogue waves are well derived, respectively. In this paper, a ( 3 + 1 ) -dimensional generalized Kadomtsev–Petviashvili (gKP) equation is investigated, which describes the dynamics of nonlinear waves in plasma physics and fluid dynamics. By employing the extended homoclinic test method, we construct a new family of two wave solutions, rational breather wave and rogue wave solutions of the equation. Moreover, by virtue of some ansatz functions and the Riccati equation method, its analytical bright soliton, dark soliton and traveling wave solutions are derived. Finally, we obtain its exact power series solution with the convergence analysis. In order to further understand the dynamics, we provide some graphical analysis of these solutions. Under investigation in this work is a generalized ( 3 + 1 )-dimensional Kadomtsev–Petviashvili (GKP) equation, which can describe many nonlinear phenomena in fluid dynamics. By virtue of the Bell’s polynomials, an effective and straightforward way is presented to explicitly construct its bilinear form and soliton solution. Furthermore, based on the bilinear formalism and the extended homoclinic test method, the kinky breather wave solutions and rational breather wave solutions of the equation are well constructed. In this paper, a ( 3 + 1 ) -dimensional generalized B-type Kadomtsev–Petviashvili equation is investigated, which can be used to describe weakly dispersive waves propagating in a quasi media and fluid mechanics. Based on the Bell polynomials, its multiple-soliton solutions and the bilinear form with some reductions are derived, respectively. Furthermore, by using Riemann theta function, we construct one- and two-periodic wave solutions for the equation. Finally, we study the asymptotic behavior of the periodic wave solutions, which implies that the periodic wave solutions can be degenerated to the soliton solutions under a small amplitude limit.
