Recent data compromises involving outsourcing vendors in India are focusing renewed attention on offshore security and privacy safeguards. But so far, at least, they haven't resulted in any calls for additional controls from U.S. clients. This article describes the most recent incident of security breach. It involved the alleged sale of information about more than 1,000 British bank accounts to a British newspaper. The data was obtained by an individual in New Delhi, India from call center contacts and sold to a reporter from the newspaper, "The Sun."
