The article presents a study on the impact of foot type on plantar loading. The researchers hypothesized that asymptomatic healthy individuals with pes cavus, rectus and pes planus foot types will have different plantar loading measures. They evaluated the asymptomatic healthy test subjects at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York, who were stratified according to forefoot to rearfoot (FF-RF) relationship and resting calcaneal stance position (RCSP). They found that many plantar loading measures are sensitive to foot type.
