The article discusses the Office of Congressional Ethics, created by the U.S. House of Representatives in 2008, for restoration of public trust in an ethics process and efforts of outside watchdog groups to lobby for continuance of the independent panel by the next Congress. Topics discussed 10 watchdog groups including Common Cause and Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Wahsington writing to keep the office open, bipartisan ethics enforcement by the panel, and successes of the panel.
