Introduction: The confinement derived from the Alarm State in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic left the elderly alone in a situation of greater vulnerability. Objective: To describe the solidarity initiatives towards the elderly in the written press in the context of confinement in Spain by Coronavirus. Material and methods: Qualitative study through thematic content analysis. The Google search engine was used to locate articles in journalistic dissemination media in digital format of the Spanish scope (local, regional or national), published between March 14 and May 8, 2020. We made an Excel file with: title, source, scope, date, fortnight, section, author, verbatim, agents involved, means of contact, necessity implied according to Virginia Henderson's categorization and web address. Results: Of the 100 articles analyzed, most were published in the first fortnight of confinement at the local level. They covered needs such as "detect and avoid dangers", "food", "communication", "mobilization" and "learning". The agents involved were civil society, also NGOs and public institutions through Civil Protection or the Red Cross. The means of communication used were posters, telephone, telecare and mail. Conclusions: The coronavirus pandemic has unleashed a network of solidarity towards the elderly and the press has echoed this. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: The needs generated at the end of life can influence not only the physical health but also the emotional, psychological and spiritual health of those who coexist in a critical care environment. Objective: To describe the scales that allow to determine the needs of care in patients, family and professionals that face the end of life in the ICU. Method: Integrative review of the literature. A search was conducted in the databases: PubMed, CINAHL, CUIDEN, Ovid, Epistemonikos, BVS, EBMR, repositories and cross-reference analysis. Results: After the process of critical reading, 13 articles met the inclusion criteria: 4 psychometric validations, 2 systematic reviews and 7 descriptive quantitative studies. The results were classified into three categories: measurement instruments for patients, family and professionals. Discussion: It was found within the category instruments of measurement of needs focused on the family 27 scales, the best known the CCFNI. For patients, a great research trajectory of needs measurement was identified using the CARE-Q scale. As for UCI professionals, there is no evidence of a scale that measures needs beyond those of work. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The depression assumes strong incidence and prevalence situating in fourth place between all the illnesses. One expects that the family assumes an important role in the cares assuming the partner condition But what needs the family to feel partner in the process of cares? How lives the family the role of caregiver? Which his needs? It's necessary to know them so that the nurses can help the families to take care of his depressed relative. Objective: to identify the needs of family caregivers of the person with depression. Methods: the searches were conducted via EBSCO and via B-ON, in 13 electronics databases during the month of May 2007. Criteria of inclusion and exclusion of the primary studies and the descriptors had been defined to use in the research. 612 studies had been found. By applying the criteria, remaining 3 studies on which the analysis was done. Results: The caregivers are not prepared for the impact that depression has in the family, work and social life. The changes and adjustments required for the role of caregiver and the unfamiliarity of the progress and prognosis of the disease, generating dissatisfaction and insecurity. The role of caregiver is a lonely experience, with poor relationships and loss of intimacy. The family caregivers want the health professionals who listen, understand and take seriously their needs. They needs information about the development of depression, training of communication skills and to understand the importance of antidepressants in controlling the disease.
