Low back pain is one of the most common reasons for medical appointments in primary care. Although mostly benign and self-limited, it requires careful evaluation in order to identify serious underlying conditions.  Solitary fibrous tumors (SFTs) are rare fibroblastic mesenchymal neoplasms with low metastatic potential that can be present anywhere in the body, with nonspecific associated symptoms.  We exhibit the case of a young patient who was diagnosed with metastatic SFT after perceiving a painless mass in the dorsal region associated with low back pain refractory to analgesics, describing its features, and performing a literature review., Competing Interests: Human subjects: Consent was obtained or waived by all participants in this study. This case report presents a woman with a history of adverse obstetric outcomes: two pregnancies complicated by preeclampsia, resulting in a medical termination in the first and fetal demise in the second. Prior to a subsequent pregnancy, she underwent investigations for hypertension, thrombophilia, and autoimmune diseases. These investigations led to a probable diagnosis of primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) and chronic hypertension (CH). She was medicated for both conditions and closely monitored at Unidade Local de Saúde (ULS) Coimbra. Acute embolic sequential bilateral occlusion is an extremely rare event and can be difficult to detect during mechanical thrombectomy (MT) under general anesthesia (GA). We describe a male with vascular risk factors who was admitted two hours after the sudden onset of aphasia, right-sided central facial palsy, homonymous hemianopsia, and ipsilateral hemiplegia/hypoesthesia. Thrombolytic intravenous treatment was started, and the patient had an allergic reaction and required intubation. MT was performed under GA, and after the first recanalization, a new contralateral occlusion was detected during the angiographic evaluation, which was also recanalized. Furthermore, we systematically review the literature to identify the prevalence of cases with sequential occlusions described so far and to understand the role of GA in these challenging cases. This allows interventional neuroradiologists to detect such subtle signs, since prompt detection of "de novo" contralateral occlusions with subsequent immediate recanalization is the only way to prevent clinical deterioration in these cases., Competing Interests: Human subjects: Consent was obtained or waived by all participants in this study. Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) is a complication of ovulation induction. Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can occur as a consequence of this syndrome, but it is an infrequent event. The authors describe the case of a woman who became pregnant after ovulation induction and developed severe OHSS and, subsequently, DVT of the right brachiocephalic trunk, internal and external jugular veins, and right subclavian vein. Thrombophilia studies were positive, revealing the presence of four mutations. The pregnancy was bichorionic and biamniotic twins and, during the course of the pregnancy, she developed severe cholestasis. In the follow-up of this situation, she underwent abdominal ultrasound which revealed the presence of liver nodules.
