Abstract

The article focuses on a study which discusses the role of vascular epithelial growth factor receptor–tyrosine kinase inhibitors in treating advanced breast cancer. It states that vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and its receptors play an important role in the regulation of angiogenesis in both physiologic and pathologic conditions. It mentions that clinical benefits of anti-angiogenic agents are reported in colorectal cancer.
