Matrix analogs of some continued fractions of general form are considered and appropriate computation algorithms are described. The study is connected with the general parallelism problem and the use of parallel computing systems.

Models of parallel computations are considered for a wide class of data processing programs. Properties of programs are investigated and approaches to parallelizing sequential data processing programs and designing parallel programs are proposed. Computation optimizing problems are formulated.

A formal model of the structure of natural-language sentences is considered, based on the concept of control space. The proposed model allows for recursion of predicative and attributive relations in the language and generalizes the linguistic models of domination trees and constituent systems. It is designed for efficient implementation in parallel computing systems.

We describe the main implementation solutions for the MAYaK family of parallel programming languages, as determined by their distinctive features compared to sequential programming languages. These solutions have been implemented in the MAYaK parallel programming system for the ES 1766 multiprocessor computing system.

We propose a model that can be used to evaluate the throughput and reliability of a double computing system (CS). All the CS performance measures are closely interlinked. In practice, however, they are considered separately, because introduction of unreliable elements in the throughput evaluation model usually requires a substantially more complicated analysis. Yet if the interaction of these factors is ignored when modeling high-reliability systems, we obtain a coarse model and "inaccurate" results [i].

The penetration of mathematical methods into economics, engineering and science has evoked intense scrutiny o f mathematical programming the most intensively used field of applied mathematics in practice by specialists in the last decade. Advances in various applications of computers have facilitated the sophistication of mathematical programming methods and their use in the solution of various practical problems (including optimization o f problems which develop in the design of computers themselves and of computing systems (CS), software of CS and automated control systems (ACS) o f various types, etc.).
