Levi Strauss is recycling denim scraps from four production facilities into paper. The blue-tinted paper is used for the jeans-maker's stationery, envelopes, business cards and memo pads. The company also is developing other uses for the paper such as cartons, hang tags, and order forms with Watson Paper, Cottrell Paper Co and Crane and Co. The company also is planning to sell the recycled stationery through its Levi's Only Stores., Levi Strauss & Co.'s commitment to protecting the environment goes far beyond recycling bottles and cans.
