The mudstone interlayer experiences discontinuous cyclic loading during gas storage reservoir operation. To investigate the effects of intermittent action and confining pressure on the fatigue mechanical properties of mudstone. Continuous fatigue test and graded intermittent fatigue test were conducted respectively. The results show that: 1. the fatigue life of mudstone is enhanced by the intermittent effect during the fatigue process. The presence of confining pressure under the same experimental conditions also benefits the fatigue life of mudstone.2. the average modulus of elasticity of mudstone decreases with increasing stress level during cyclic loading, and both intermittency and confining pressure help to enhance the modulus of elasticity of mudstone.3. in graded intermittent fatigue tests. In both uniaxial and triaxial tests, the residual strains generated by the post-interval cycles are smaller than those generated before the intervals.4. In the 3MPa graded interval fatigue test, negative deformation occurs in the post-interval cycle due to the release of elastic energy.

This study presents an economic evaluation of independent energy storage stations (IEES) in the Western Inner Mongolia power market. The study evaluates the profitability and investment return period of a hypothetical 100 MW/200 MWh energy storage station under the current spot market conditions. The results indicate that the IESS achieves an annual operating time of 668 hours, with a potential arbitrage income of 15.39 million CNY, leading to a static investment payback period of 10.81 years. The findings underscore the necessity for improved cost recovery mechanisms, such as capacity compensation, to make energy storage investments more viable in the face of current market constraints.

Current research on entrepreneurial teams has increasingly focused on governance issues, particularly the outcome variables of entrepreneurial team governance. However, there is less examination of the antecedent variables and mediating mechanisms that influence entrepreneurial team governance. This study uses a questionnaire survey to empirically test the factors influencing entrepreneurial team governance and the moderating effect of ethical leadership. Survey data from 187 entrepreneurial teams were analyzed. Results show that founder-member relationships positively affect contractual and relational governance, and human capital specificity positively affects contractual governance and partially affects relational governance. Equity balance negatively affects relational governance and partially affects contractual governance, while equity concentration has no significant effect on governance. Ethical leadership weakens the positive impact of founder-member relationships on contractual governance, but has no significant effect on other relationships. These findings provide theoretical and empirical evidence for understanding the antecedent variables that influence entrepreneurial team governance and the moderating effect of leadership style.

Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) is one of the key technologies for realizing large-scale low-carbon utilization of coal-fired power plants in service. How to evaluate its economics is crucial to the decision-making of traditional coal-fired power enterprises. This paper analyzes the changes in the physical, emission and economic parameters of in-service coal-fired power plants without and with the CCUS retrofit. A method for evaluating the economic feasibility of coal-fired power plants retrofitting based on net cash flow is proposed, which compares the impact of CCUS retrofit on the net present value of the remaining life cycle of the power plant. The impact of uncertain parameters such as carbon dioxide sales unit price, carbon capture device operating cost, free carbon quota, and carbon emission right price on the evaluation results are analyzed.

Demand response plays a significant role in peak load shifting, storage capacity configuration and renewable energy utilization. A bi-level planning method for energy storage system of integrated community energy system considering the demand response is proposed in this paper. In the upper level, the investment cost of electrical energy storage and thermal energy storage, operation and maintenance cost and fuel cost of the integrated community energy system, as well as the compensation cost to the energy consumer, are considered; in the lower level, the responded demand of the energy consumer is taken into consideration to minimize the energy bill of the energy consumer. An actual planning for energy storage system of integrated community energy system shows the effectiveness of the proposed method.

The transverse and axial bearing characteristics of bridge pile foundation in salt marsh area are studied by numerical simulation. This paper mainly analyses the change of transverse and axial bearing characteristics of pile foundation caused by the change of spalling thickness of bridge foundation. The results show that the transverse and axial bearing capacity and displacement of pile foundation will be affected by the change of concrete spalling thickness under the condition of pile corrosion. When the peeling thickness is above 9.0cm, the transverse and axial bearing characteristics of pile foundation are obviously different with the change of corrosion depth of pile body. When the peeling thickness increases and the corrosion depth of the pile body is different, the negative displacement below the zero point of the first displacement of the pile body is continuously reduced, and the displacement curve above the first displacement zero point in the direction of the pile body begins to shift. When the peeling thickness reaches 15.0cm, the pile top displacement increases to 3.75mm. The research results are of great significance to the establishment of safety evaluation system of highway bridge pile foundation in alpine salt marsh area, and provide a basis for the structural design of highway bridge pile foundation in alpine salt marsh area.

Composite insulators provide highly effective insulation support, and their application in power transmission lines has seen rapid growth in recent years. However, every year, a large quantity of composite insulators are scrapped on reaching the end of their service life. Due to the exceptional chemical inertness of the silicone rubber in the insulators, they have poor self-degradation characteristics, and end up filling landfills and occupying a lot of space, which inadvertently endangers the ecological environment. So far, there has not been any effective means to recycle composite insulators. This paper analyzes the material composition and characteristics of the silicone rubber in the core and housing of composite insulators, and proposes a resource utilization approach for the application of the pulverized silicone rubber powder from the insulators in the following three applications: use in producing silicone rubber asphalt at a blending ratio of 15%–18%—the corresponding market demand is large enough to meet the disposal needs of scrapped composite insulators; use in modification of waste rubber powder and blending with ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber (EPDM) at a blending ratio of 10%—as the annual production capacity of EPDM is more than 850,000 tons in China, thousands of tons of waste insulators can be thus disposed; and use as an aggregate for non-slip coatings, which accounts for more than 40% of the coatings material. Thus, there is tremendous scope for recycling waste insulator.

The release behavior of sulfur during coal gasification was studied in a bench-scale self-heated circulating fluidized bed gasifier. With the increase of the O2/C molar ratio, gasification temperature increases, which promotes sulfur release rate and the formation of H2S. The conversion reaction between H2S and COS is far from equilibrium and the yield of COS is excessive. Under the same molar ratio of O2/C, the increase of coal feeding rate can elevate the gasification temperature, promote the release of sulfur and the transformation of gaseous sulfur to H2S.

By applying the shallow ground energy to supply building heating and cooling, the geothermal heat exchanger systems were considered as an energy-efficient building service system. In this study, the CuO/water nanofluid was employed as circuit fluids of the geothermal heat exchanger system, and the thermal performance of the heat exchanger was investigated. The results showed that the heat transfer process of CuO/water nanofluid became stable earlier than that water. Furthermore, the heat transfer rate of nanofluid was higher than that of water when the heat transfer process plateaued.

Arsenic (As) is an ubiquitous constituent in geothermal water. Arsenite (AsIII) is oxidized via microbial processes as the waters equilibrate with oxygen in the geothermal effluent. The distribution of arsenite oxdizing bacteria and its correlation with environment factors were studied in Tengchong geothermal areas of Yunnan, China. A total of 230 aioA clone sequences were obtained and these sequences were affiliated with four phyla: Betaproteobacteria, Alphaproteobacteria, Deinococcus-Thermus and Aquificae. Temperature was negatively correlated with aioA diversity and was the only environment factor that had correlation with diversity index. Betaproteobacteria was mainly distributed in low temperature (T = 28 to 43 °C) and circumneutral or light alkaline (pH = 7 to 9) springs; Alphaproteobacteria was mainly predominant in low pH (pH = 3.3 to 3.6) springs; Deinococcus-Thermus and Aquificae mainly inhabited in high temperature (T=55 to 78 °C) springs with a wide range of pH. Usually, Deinococcus-Thermus was dominant when springs had a pH within 4.0 to 8.0. Aquificae was dominated in springs with pH > 8.0 or pH < 4.0.
