High-precision spatial-temporal wind power prediction technology is of great significance for ensuring the safe and stable operation of power grids. The development of artificial intelligence technology provides a new scheme for modeling with strong spatial-temporal correlation. In addition, the existing prediction models are mostly 'black box' models, lacking interpretability, which may lead to a lack of trust in the model by power grid dispatchers. Therefore, improving the model to obtain interpretability has become an important challenge. In this paper, an interpretable short-term wind power prediction model based on ensemble deep graph neural network is designed. Firstly, the graph network model (GNN) with an attention mechanism is applied to the aggregate and the spatial-temporal features of wind power data are extracted, and the interpretable ability is obtained. Then, the long short-term memory (LSTM) method is used to process the extracted features and establish a wind power prediction model. Finally, the random sampling algorithm is used to optimize the hyperparameters to improve the learning rate and performance of the model. Through multiple comparative experiments and a case analysis, the results show that the proposed model has a higher prediction accuracy than other traditional models and obtains reasonable interpretability in time and space dimensions. Wind prediction has consistently been in the spotlight as a crucial element in achieving efficient wind power generation and reducing operational costs. In recent years, with the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, its application in the field of wind prediction has made significant strides. Focusing on the process of AI-based wind prediction modeling, this paper provides a comprehensive summary and discussion of key techniques and models in data preprocessing, feature extraction, relationship learning, and parameter optimization. Building upon this, three major challenges are identified in AI-based wind prediction: the uncertainty of wind data, the incompleteness of feature extraction, and the complexity of relationship learning. In response to these challenges, targeted suggestions are proposed for future research directions, aiming to promote the effective application of AI technology in the field of wind prediction and address the crucial issues therein. The use of renewable energy sources is becoming increasingly widespread around the world due to various factors, the most relevant of which is the high environmental friendliness of these types of energy resources. However, the large-scale involvement of green energy leads to the creation of distributed energy networks that combine several different generation methods, each of which has its own specific features, and as a result, the data collection and processing necessary to optimize the operation of such energy systems become more relevant. Development of new technologies for the more optimal use of RES is one of the main tasks of modern research in the field of energy, where an important place is assigned to the use of technologies based on artificial intelligence, allowing researchers to significantly increase the efficiency of the use of all types of RES within energy systems. This paper proposes to consider the methodology of application of modern approaches to the assessment of the amount of energy obtained from renewable energy sources based on artificial intelligence technologies, approaches used for data processing and for optimization of the control processes for operating energy systems with the integration of renewable energy sources. The relevance of the work lies in the formation of a general approach applied to the evaluation of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind energy based on the use of artificial intelligence technologies. As a verification of the approach considered by the authors, a number of models for predicting the amount of solar power generation using photovoltaic panels have been implemented, for which modern machine-learning methods have been used. As a result of testing for quality and accuracy, the best results were obtained using a hybrid forecasting model, which combines the joint use of a random forest model applied at the stage of the normalization of the input data, exponential smoothing model, and LSTM model. Photovoltaic (PV) power generation is significantly impacted by environmental factors that exhibit substantial uncertainty and volatility, posing a critical challenge for accurate PV power prediction in power system management. To address this, a parallel model is proposed for PV short-term prediction utilizing a multi-level attention mechanism. Firstly, gray relation analysis (GRA) and an improved ISODATA algorithm are used to select a dataset of similar days with comparable meteorological characteristics to the forecast day. A transformer encoder layer with multi-head attention is then used to extract long-term dependency features. Concurrently, BiGRU, optimized with a Global Attention network, is used to capture global temporal features. Feature fusion is performed using Cross Attention, calculating attention weights to emphasize significant features and enhancing feature integration. Finally, high-precision predictions are achieved through a fully connected layer. Utilizing historical PV power generation data to predict power output under various weather conditions, the proposed model demonstrates superior performance across all three climate types compared to other models, achieving more reliable predictions. Currently, artificial intelligence (AI) is emerging as a dominant force in various technologies, owing to its unparalleled efficiency. Among the plethora of AI techniques available, neural networks (NNs) have garnered significant attention due to their adeptness in addressing diverse challenges, particularly for prediction tasks. This study offers a comprehensive review of predominant AI-based approaches to photovoltaic (PV) energy forecasting, with a particular emphasis on artificial neural networks (ANNs). We introduce a revolutionary methodology that amalgamates the predictive capabilities of ANN with the precision control afforded by the minimum-risk problem and sliding mode control (MRP-SMC), thereby revolutionizing the PV panel performance enhancement. Building upon this methodology, our hybrid approach utilizes the ANN as a proficient weather forecaster, accurately predicting the temperature and solar radiation levels impacting the panels. These forecasts serve as guiding principles for the MRP-SMC algorithm, enabling the proactive determination of the Maximum Power Point (MPP). Unlike conventional methods that grapple with weather unpredictability, the MRP-SMC algorithm transforms stochastic optimization challenges into controllable deterministic risk problems. Our method regulates the boost converter's work cycle dynamically. This dynamic adaptation, guided by environmental predictions from ANNs, unlocks the full potential of PV panels, maximizing energy recovery efficiency. To train the model, we utilized a large dataset comprising 60,538 temperature and solar radiation readings from the Department of Systems Engineering and Automation at the Faculty of Engineering in Vitoria (University of the Basque Country). Our approach demonstrates a high regression coefficient (R = 0.99) and low mean square error (MSE = 0.0044), underscoring its exceptional ability to predict real energy values. In essence, this study proposes a potent fusion of artificial intelligence and control mechanisms that unleash the untapped potential of photovoltaic panels.
