The degree of salinity in the hydraulic fracturing rejection fluid of the Shaximiao reservoir in the central Sichuan Basin is high, and the underlying mechanism causing this salinity is not clearly understood. We evaluated the rock structure of tight sandstone, including rock composition, pore structure, ion diffusion, and adsorption behavior, to determine how the rock structure influences the mechanism of the sandstone's interaction with the fracturing fluid. X-ray diffraction revealed that the rock mineral fraction has a significant clay mineral concentration. The results of linear swelling experiments revealed that the water sensitivity of tight sandstone reservoirs exhibits moderately robust characteristics. The time required for salt ion diffusion stabilization is much longer than that required for self-imbibition stabilization, and the diffusion of salt ions is almost log-linear with time after imbibition stabilization. The diffusion rates of salt ions were determined for different single minerals and particle sizes, with clay minerals and particle sizes controlling the diffusion rates. The samples were treated with different concentrations of KCl and acrylamide polymer solutions, and both the pore size distribution and pore throat properties were characterized by low-temperature nitrogen adsorption. Although the adsorption isotherms of both KCl and polymers are consistent with the Langmuir model, their adsorption mechanisms acting on tight sandstone and the effect of adsorption on the pore throat structure are inconsistent. The adsorption of potassium chloride enhances the rock's pore throat diameter and permeability by increasing the uniformity of the pore throat by electrostatic adsorption with clay particles. However, polymer adsorption reduces the pore diameter of the rock and forms a thin film that obstructs the pore throat, complicating the pore throat and weakening its permeability. This research has led to a greater comprehension of the ion diffusion characteristics of the tight sandstone in the Shaximiao reservoir and the adsorption mechanism on the pore structure of the rock. In order to find out the enrichment mechanism and forming type of deep shale gas, taking the Longmaxi Formation shale in the Desheng–Yunjin Syncline area of Sichuan Basin as an example, we determined the mineralogy, organic geochemistry, physical property analysis, gas and water content, and the influence of three factors, namely sedimentation, structural conditions, and hydrogeological conditions, on the enrichment of shale gas. The results show that Longmaxi Formation shale in Desheng–Yunjin Syncline area is a good hydrocarbon source rock that is in the over-mature stage and has the characteristics of high porosity, low permeability, and high-water saturation. The contents of clay and quartz are high, and the brittleness index is quite different. According to the mineral composition, nine types of lithofacies can be found. The development characteristics of Longmaxi Formation shale and the sealing property of the roof have no obvious influence on the enrichment of shale gas, but the tectonic activities and hydrodynamic conditions have obvious influence on the enrichment of shale gas. The main control factors for shale gas enrichment in different regions are different. According to the main control factors, the gas accumulation in the study area can be divided into three types: fault-controlled gas, anticline-controlled gas, and hydrodynamic-controlled gas. The fault-controlled gas type is distributed in the north of the Desheng syncline and the north of the Yunjin syncline, the anticline-controlled gas type is distributed in the south of the Desheng syncline and the south of the Yunjin syncline, and the hydrodynamic-controlled gas type is distributed in the middle of the Baozang syncline. The largest Precambrian gasfield in China has been found from the Ediacaran (Sinian) carbonates in the central Sichuan Basin. The deep ancient reservoirs were generally attributed to the high-energy mound-shoal body in the carbonate platform. However, there is still little understanding on the distribution of the mound-shoal bodies that hampers further gas exploitation from the deep subsurface. Based on the seismic data, a large strike-slip fault system was identified by new 3D seismic data in the central Sichuan Basin. Further, it was found that the strike-slip fault had some effects on the mound-shoal bodies of the Ediacaran Dengying Formation. First, the platform margin was divided by strike-slip faults into three distinct segments to show two weak-rimmed margins and one interbedded rimmed margin. Second, the platform margin could be offset or migrated with the strike-slip faults. Third, there is varied margin thickness across the strike-slip fault zone. In the inner platform, more carbonate mound-shoal bodies developed behind the weak-rimmed margin that was divided by the strike-slip fault zones. In addition, the mound-shoal bodies may be separated by faulted sag. Further, the mound-shoal bodies may have developed along the faulted higher position in one side of the strike-slip fault zone. These patterns of the mound-shoal bodies suggest that the strike-slip fault had an important role in the sedimentary microfacies' diversity in the intracratonic carbonates. The low displacement of the strike-slip fault is chiefly responsible for a weaker controlling effect on the microfacies change in the intracratonic basin rather than other tectonic settings. In the Luzhou Block of the southern Sichuan Basin, the deep Longmaxi shales have become important exploration targets in recent years. However, the water-bearing properties of these shales are still unclear, which significantly limits evaluations of reservoir pore structures and gas-in-place (GIP) contents. In this study, twelve fresh shale core samples were collected at the well site, and the pore water (CPW) and equilibrium water (CEW) contents, as well as the pore structures of the shales, were analyzed under both as-received and dried conditions. The results indicate that the deep shales have low water-bearing extents with a pore water content (CPW) of 3.82–16.67 mg/g, and that both the organic matter (OM) and inorganic matter (IM) pores can be used for pore water storage. The extent of influence of pore water on nonmicropores and IM pore structures is more significant than that on micropores and OM pore structures. Meanwhile, the pore water obviously reduces the retention effects of nanopores and may block nanopores with pore widths < 0.5 nm. An average of 40% of pore spaces were taken up by pore water in the studied deep shales in the Luzhou Block, and the residual pore surface area and pore volume of the shales were mainly contributed from micropores and nonmicropores, respectively. In this study, shale cores from 20 wells in the S1l11-1 sublayer of Longmaxi Formation buried in shallow shale (<3500 m) and deep shale (>3500 m) in the southern Sichuan Basin, China were collected to compare their pore structures and gas-bearing properties using multiple experiments. Results showed that the deep layer has relatively lower brittle mineral content, which is disadvantageous in terms of the higher requirements it imposes on hydraulic fracturing. Results also showed that the most important factor controlling the differential enrichment of S1l11-1 shale gas in southern Sichuan Basin is porosity. Moreover, the porosity composition of shallow shale and deep shale has significant differences: the porosity of shallow shale is dominated by organic pores, while for deep shale, both organic and inorganic pores are important. The inorganic pores provide significant storage space for free gas in deep shale; their contribution warrants more attention. We also found that the difference in organic porosity of the shallow and deep shale samples resulted from large differences in pore development ability, while the highest inorganic porosity was concentrated near the optimal mineral composition when the content of quartz plus feldspar plus pyrite was about 70%. This study revealed the primary factor controlling the difference in gas content between shallow and deep shale and detailed the characteristics of microscopic pore structure, providing a basis for the exploration and development of deep shale gas in the Wufeng-Longmaxi Formation in the southern Sichuan Basin. With rapid rural urbanization and new rural construction, the commercial energy consumption of rural residents shows a trend of rapid growth, and China's rural areas are also faced with environmental challenges brought by the increase of commercial energy consumption. China's commercial energy consumption behavior of rural residents has also undergone tremendous changes. However, scholars have neglected the research on rural residents' commercial energy consumption intention from a micro perspective. Therefore, this study takes the 5 villages in Chengdu out of the 100 representative villages in the Sichuan province as examples. From the perspective of the head of a family of permanent rural residents, extended planned behavior theory, exploratory factor analysis, and structural equation modeling are used to explore the influencing factors of rural resident commercial energy consumption intention and their relationship. Findings show that subjective norm, perceived behavioral control (PBC), and habit significantly affect residents' behavioral intention. Habits significantly influence subjective norms and PBC. Therefore, in the new rural construction, rural residents are the main body and participants of energy consumption. Local government departments should plan reasonably according to the needs and characteristics of residents, constantly improve commercial energy infrastructure, improve service level, and further strengthen farmers' attitude and satisfaction toward commercial energy. Moreover, they should increase the publicity and education of commercial energy, advocate green housing, and promote energy saving consumption reduction, and sustainable development in new rural areas.
