The continuous solar collector is a promising heater and reactor for the hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL) of microalgae biomass. To enhance the heat transfer and hydrothermal conversion of microalgae slurry in solar-driven reactors, a static mixer is inserted in the flow channel of the solar collector. A numerical model combining CFD and HTL reactions of microalgae biomass is proposed. Six composition equations of protein, carbohydrates, lipids, biocrude, aqueous phase and biogas were proposed, while corresponding HTL kinetics were utilized to simulate the conversion rate of the reactants and products. The effects of the twist ratio of the static mixer (3–10), flow rate (30–80 L/h) and solar intensity (650, 750, 850 W/m2) on the flow resistance, heat transfer and organics formation of microalgae slurry were investigated. The swirl flow caused by the static mixer with a twist ratio of three increased the convective heat transfer coefficient (97 W·m−2·K−1) by 2.06 times, while the production rate of biocrude (0.074 g·L−1·s−1) increased by 2.05 times at 50 L/h and 750 W/m2. This investigation gives guidance for utilizing static mixers in solar-driven reactors to optimize the heat transfer and HTL of microalgae biomass with solar heat sources. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A new type of brushless reverse claw-pole electrically excited generator is proposed for the problems of the low sine degree of the induced electromotive force waveform and the high harmonic content of the output voltage of the conventional electrically excited claw-pole generator. The design uses the equivalent magnetic network method to establish the equivalent magnetic circuit model of the motor and determines the equation for calculating the magnetoresistance of the isosceles trapezoidal variable section claw-pole structure. It derives the mathematical model of the no-load induced electric potential of the generator and completes to optimize the motor parameters with the no-load induced electric potential as the target. This study shows that the brushless reverse claw-pole electrically excited generator has the advantages of uniform magnetic field distribution, high harmonic fundamental amplitude of induced electromotive force and low harmonic content. The motor is an important component that affects the output performance of new energy vehicles (using new energy sources such as electric energy and hydrogen fuel energy to drive the motor and provide kinetic energy). Motors with high power and low noise can effectively improve the dynamic performance, passability and smoothness of new energy vehicles and bring a comfortable experience to driver and passengers. The magnetic field analytical model of the inner-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) is studied to improve its output quality. The motor is divided into four subdomains: the stator slot subdomain, the stator slot notch subdomain, the air-gap subdomain, and the permanent magnet (PM) subdomain. The general solution of the vector magnetic potential of each subdomain is solved, and the expression of magnetic flux density of each subdomain is derived. Meanwhile, the analytical model of the non-uniform air gap is established according to the uniform air-gap model. The model's accuracy is verified by finite element analysis and prototype tests. The results show that the calculation results of the analytical model are effective. The model can be applied to predict the no-load back electromotive force (EMF) and cogging torque of the motor under different main air gaps. Aiming at the problems of large excitation loss and low power generation efficiency of silicon rectifier generators and the unstable output voltage of permanent magnet (PM) generators, a hybrid excitation generator (HEG) with suspended brushless claw pole electrical excitation rotor (EER) and combined magnetic pole PM rotor is proposed in the present work. With only one fractional slot winding stator, the generator adopts PM field as the main magnetic field and electrical excitation field as the auxiliary magnetic field, which not only retains the advantages of high efficiency of PM generators but also effectively reduces excitation consumption. The main structure parameters and the design method were analyzed, and a simulation analysis of no-load magnetic field distribution and flux regulation ability was carried out using finite element software to verify the rationality of the hybrid excitation parallel magnetic circuit design. Moreover, the no-load, load, regulation, and voltage regulation characteristics of the designed generator were tested, and the results show that the designed generator has a wide range of voltage regulation, which can ensure stable output voltage under variable speed and load conditions. Due to the increasing energy crisis and environmental pollution, the development of drive motors for new energy vehicles (NEVs) has become the focus of popular attention. To improve the sine of the air-gap flux density and flux regulation capacity of drive motors, a new hybrid excitation synchronous motor (HESM) has been proposed. The HESM adopts a salient pole rotor with built-in dual-V permanent magnets (PMs), non-arc pole shoes and excitation windings. The fundamental topology, operating principle and analytical model for a magnetic field are presented. In the analytical model, the rotor magnetomotive force (MMF) is derived based on the minimum reluctance principle, and the permeance function considering a non-uniform air-gap is calculated using the magnetic equivalent circuit (MEC) method. Besides, the electromagnetic performance including the air-gap magnetic field and flux regulation capacity is analyzed by the finite element method (FEM). The simulation results of the air-gap magnetic field are consistent with the analytical results. The experiment and simulation results of the performance show that the flux waveform is sinusoidal-shaped and the air-gap flux can be adjusted effectively by changing the excitation current. With the development of urbanization, people's living standards have improved. Simultaneously, the growing aggravation of resource shortages and environmental pollution have also gradually attracted widespread attention. Low-carbon energy planning can effectively reduce dependence on fossil resources and carbon emissions to the atmosphere, as well as improve the utilization of resources. Therefore, the formulation and evaluation of low-carbon energy planning have become the focus of attention for related colleges and institutions. This paper puts forward a hybrid multi-criteria decision making(MCDM) method combining decision making trial and evaluation laboratory(DEMATEL), analytical network process(ANP), and VIKOR to obtain the weight of each criterion and evaluate each alternative about low-carbon energy planning for building. A hierarchy structure of criteria involving cost, safety, reliability, and environment protection is built. Afterwards, a case of four alternatives is applied for testifying this methodology. Lastly, a comparison with prior methodologies serves as proof of the raised ranking.
