The variability of renewable energy generation and its mismatch with demand may lead to curtailment issues, which necessitates the deployment of energy storage on a significantly larger scale. A‐CAES is a promising technology for its green ability and technology maturity to serve as grid's load following. However, previous research mainly focuses on system analysis and core component optimal, and the performance of A‐CAES when constructing with renewable resources has not been fully addressed. In this paper, a comprehensive evaluation on A‐CAES is presented based on an annual photovoltaic (PV) output in western China. The A‐CAES is modeled from the systematic perspective and the PV output is classified into four types (sunny, mostly‐sunny, mostly‐cloudy, and cloudy). First, the performance with different weather and different rated power of A‐CAES is fully investigated. Then, performance availability with different rated power has been proposed—the optimal condition occurs with average 5.936 MWh/day capacity and 53.49% efficiency on 1800 kW rated power. The evaluation framework is suitable for evaluating the role of CAES with other sources and such result provides a reference for A‐CAES designing and further application. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Hydrogen energy is a type of energy contained in hydrogen, the most common element in the universe. Hydrogen energy is a clean form of energy used in many other fields apart from powering spacecraft and cars. This study examines the contributions researchers from around the world have made in the field of hydrogen energy and storage over the past 30 years (January 1, 1992‐January 1, 2022). A comprehensive bibliometric approach has been applied to illustrate the scientific publications on hydrogen energy and related topics using the Scopus database, which revealed 15 792 publications published by more than 500 authors and organizations scattered over 120 countries. Various aspects of these studies have been analyzed, such as publication type, number of citations, fundamental research areas, and keywords. The article additionally examines the countries, authors, journals, and institutions that have worked in the field of hydrogen energy and storage. Thus, this article presents detailed results from the 18 most influential authors, 20 most influential journals, and 15 most influential institutions in the field of hydrogen energy and storage in terms of publication, citation, publication impact parameters, and h‐indexes over the past 30 years and shows the effects of all countries that have published in the field of hydrogen energy and storage in terms of number of publications and citations. As a result of the analysis of all parameters, the most effective journals are shown to be the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, Fuel Cells Bulletin, and the Journal of Materials Chemistry A, and the most effective countries are seen to be China, USA, and South Korea. However, Ibrahim Dincer has been identified as the most influential author and to differ in several ways in terms of contributing authors. The results also indicate how important the subject of hydrogen energy is in the field of energy, physics and astronomy, and engineering. Research on decommissioned batteries emphasizes the value of lost energy in batteries. This article analyzes the leftover battery capacity after its decommissioning from electric vehicles. This analysis includes the discreteness of the battery capacity, sorting based on a QC/T‐standard and alteration among the battery capacities. The potential of decommissioned batteries in other applications is presented, and a roadmap for the circular economy is suggested. Based on the data collected in China, significant faults occurring inside electric vehicles' battery packs are reviewed. An alternative inverter is tested to solve the significant challenges in using decommissioned batteries. Advancements are made toward a new intuitive cell balancing technique to utilize maximum capacity in each cell. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
