Objective: Describe the production of a pocket guide on ethical actions with a view to reflection on ethical, safe and legal care in professional practice for students and nursing staff. Methods: A descriptive study, in the form of an experience report, carried out based on the first stage of a methodological development study, production stage, developed in the period from August to December, 2020. Results: Entitled "The ethical action of the nursing team: pocket guide", the process of producing the pocket guide took place in three stages: integrative literature review, identification of generating themes, production of educational technology. The intention is to stimulate in the readers reflections on ethical and disciplinary infractions in the working environment of the nursing professional, with emphasis on actions of negligence, impropriety, recklessness, iatrogeny and illegal exercise of the profession. Conclusion: The production of the guide responds to the challenge of ethical action and can favor value-based practice for a safe professional exercise, with a view to minimizing damage and strengthening research in the field of safety and quality of ethical care in nursing. Objective: To analyze publications on nurses' personal and professional values and their relationship with nursing education and clinical practice. Methods: Integrative review of articles indexed in the MEDLINE, LILACS and CINAHL databases published between 2014 and 2019, which addressed personal and professional values in nursing, being analyzed by descriptive statistics of the frequencies and analysis of thematic content of Bardin. Results: Thirteen articles were selected, in Portugueses, Spanish and English, in eight different journals. The countries that had institutions affiliated to the studies were Turkey, Canada, Spain, Colombia, United States, Brazil and Iran. The places where the studies were developed were in higher education institutions, hospitals and basic health units. The most used methodology was quantitative. The constituted thematic categories were: instruments for evaluating nursing values, description of nursing values and associated factors, intergenerational differences and evolution of values. Conclusion: It was concluded that the search for knowledge about nursing values is universal, but little addressed in the Brazilian context. Human dignity was the most represented value in studies. The formation of values contributes to the training and improvement of qualified professionals that contributes to safety in clinical practice. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: To analyze the professional practice of nurses in an accredited private hospital, under the prism of virtue ethics. Methodology: Case study with a qualitative approach performed in a Private Hospital "Excelent in Accreditation" in Minas Gerais. The participants were 13 nurses. The data collection was performed through an individual interview following a semistructured script and observation and, submitted to the Thematic Content Analysis. Results: Contradictions were identified among the values that guide the organization of work in the institution, whose enforcement is the accreditation and values of nurses, which are focused on care. Conclusion: The contradiction found distances the nurses from their practice, putting them in confrontation with their profession, provoking the moral suffering. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: This study aimed to analyze the ethical nursing processes for professional practice. Method: This is a descriptive, retrospective and documentary study. A form was applied with the information subject/report procedure, professional category of nursing involved in the ethics process and outcome with the penalty received by the Regional Council of Nursing. In March-May 2016, 59 ethical procedures were analyzed, between these 20 were filed and 39 were judged, composed in categories: nursing, nursing technician and a health aide. Results: the violations that stood out were, the illegal practice of the occupation 16 (27.12%) and irregular practice of the profession 11 (18.64%). In relation to the professional category, highlighted the Nurse in 29 (49.15%), the health aide in 11 (18.6%). Conclusion: It is fundamental to encourage the reflection of nursing professionals about the mistakes, violations and penalties awarded. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: to understand how nurses understand the applicability of early intension directives in the care of the last phases of life. Methodology: qualitative, descriptive and exploratory research, carried out with eight nurses from a university hospital in the south of Brazil, in December 2014, based on semi-structured interviews, submitted to discursive textual analysis. Results: three categories emerged: conflicts in patient care in the final phase; Advantages and difficulties in the applicability of antecipated directives of intention; Benefits in the applicability of the antecipated intension directives by the nursing. Conclusion: The antecipated directives are related to the respect of personal autonomy, however a practice surrounded by fears and concern of its fulfillment. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: to highlight the importance of nursing leadership management for the construction of ethical environments, where the usual silence on ethical problems experienced is replaced by the freedom to face them. Methodology: his is a theoretical reflection that will focus on the organization of health institutions and ethics, the moral suffering of workers and coping strategies. Results: we emphasize that health care does not always favor an ethical performance, contributing to the emergence of ethical issues; the divergence between the professional and institutional values trigger moral distress to workers; the importance of a more active role in confronting the nursing supervisors. Objective: to know how the life experience of technical nursing course teachers has been decisive for their SM. Methodology: quality research, through interview semi-produced with ten nursing teachers from two professionalizing teaching institutions in southern Brazil, and written text analysis. Results: two categories were built: -The care or lack of care from thefuture nursing technician as the cause of SM in the teaches - expressing lack of interest making students not to participate in inappropriate behavior nursing classes; - Organizational dynamic in the trainee environment and the care or lack of care of the patient as the cause of teachers' SM, related to precarious equipment and inappropriate behavior from nursing professionals. Conclusion: these carelessness situations are causes of SM in nursing teachers. It must considered that if the teachers were concerned they could go forward identifying the moral issue found in suffering, understanding it as SM, getting strongerto face the problem and moral dilemma present in educational practice. Objective: the study aimed to analyze the validity and reliability of the adapted Moral Distress Scale (MDS) in a sample of nurses from a hospital. Methodology: it is a cross-sectional study conducted with 144 hospital nurses from the central region of Rio Grande do Sul, through the application of the MDS adapted, validated and standardized for use in Brazil. For data analysis we used factor analysis, Cronbach alpha and descriptive statistics. Results: the factorial analysis of the instrument allowed the grouping of the issues validated in three dimensions associated with moral suffering: staff's lack of competence; the nursing denial of their role as patient advocacy; inadequate work conditions.
