It was evaluated the annual evolution of global, direct and diffuse components of incident solar radiation on tilted surfaces to 12.85, 22.85 and 32.85º, facing north, in Botucatu, state of São Paulo, Brazil. The radiometric fractions were obtained for each component of the radiation in the aforementioned surfaces, through the ratio with the global and top of the atmosphere radiations. Seasonality was evaluated based on monthly averages of daily values. The measures occurred between 04/1998 and 07/2001 at 22.85º; 08/2001 and 02/2003 at 12.85º; and from 03/2003 to 12/2007 at 32.85º, with concomitant measures in the horizontal surface (reference). The levels of global and direct radiation on tilted surfaces were lower in summer and higher in the equinoxes when compared with the horizontal. The diffuse radiation on tilted surfaces was lower in most months, with losses of up to 65%. A trend of increasing differences occurred between horizontal and tilted surfaces with the increase of the angle in all the components and fractions of incident radiation. The annual evolution of rainfall and cloud cover ratio directly affected the atmospheric transmissivity of direct and diffuse components in the region.Avaliou-se a evolução anual das componentes global, direta e difusa da radiação solar incidente em superfícies inclinadas a 12,85; 22,85 e 32,85º, com face voltada ao Norte, em Botucatu-SP. Foram obtidas frações radiométricas para cada componente da radiação nas superfícies supracitadas, através de razões com a radiação global e a do topo da atmosfera. A sazonalidade foi avaliada através das médias mensais dos valores diários. As medidas ocorreram entre 04/1998 e 07/2001, em 22,85º; 08/2001 e 02/2003, em 12,85º; e de 03/2003 a 12/2007, em 32,85º, com medidas concomitantes no plano horizontal (referência). Os níveis das radiações global e direta nos planos inclinados foram inferiores no período de verão e superiores entre os equinócios, quando comparadas ao plano horizontal. A radiação difusa nas superfícies inclinadas foi inferior na maioria dos meses, com perdas de até 65%. Ocorreu uma tendência de aumento das diferenças entre as superfícies horizontal e inclinada com o incremento do ângulo em todas as componentes e frações da radiação incidente. A evolução anual das precipitações pluviométricas e da razão de nebulosidade afetou diretamente a transmissividade atmosférica das componentes direta e difusa na região.

Neste trabalho, analisou-se a viabilidade do uso de concentradores de radiação solar em sistemas fototérmicos para higienização de salas de ordenha. Foram analisadas três opções para aquecimento de água com reservatório de acumulação: sistema com resistência elétrica, sistema solar com concentrador e sistema solar sem concentrador. Calculou-se o custo total dessas alternativas e o valor presente líquido do sistema solar suplementado por lenha de eucalipto comprada, lenha de eucalipto produzida na propriedade rural, energia elétrica e gás liquefeito de petróleo (GLP). Realizou-se uma análise de sensibilidade do sistema fototérmico variando o número de vacas lactantes, o custo da energia elétrica e da lenha, a taxa de juros, o custo dos componentes do sistema, a vida útil e o subsídio no valor do equipamento. O sistema fototérmico com concentrador suplementado por lenha produzida na propriedade foi a alternativa de aquecimento mais viável economicamente. O uso dos concentradores gera uma redução de cerca de 10% no custo de aquisição do sistema de aquecimento solar.In this study, we analyzed the feasibility of using radiation concentrators in thermal solar systems for the hygiene of milking parlors. We analyzed three options for water heating with tank accumulation: system with electric resistance, the solar system with concentrator and the solar system without concentrator. It was calculated the total cost of these alternatives and the net present value of the solar system supplemented by purchased eucalyptus wood, eucalyptus wood produced on the farm, electricity and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). A sensitivity analysis of the thermal solar system varying the number of dairy cows, the electricity and the firewood costs, the interest rate, the system's components cost, the life expectancy and the subsidy on the equipment value. The thermal solar system with concentrator supplemented by firewood produced on the property was the more feasible heating alternative. The use of concentrators caused a reduction of around 10 % of the purchase cost of solar heating system.

O presente trabalho analisa a viabilidade técnica da redução do uso de energia elétrica pela substituição dos chuveiros elétricos por aquecedores solares e apresenta uma análise da redução do custo mensal de energia elétrica para os diferentes municípios de Goiás. Por meio do processamento de dados climatológicos e com o auxílio do aplicativo de informações geográficas SPRING®, foram calculados os valores de irradiâncias (MJ m-2 anual-1) e do número de horas anuais de brilho solar sobre a superfície da Terra e no topo da atmosfera, respectivamente, para os municípios do Estado de Goiás. Com base em dados censitários, calcularam-se o consumo médio de energia elétrica mensal por domicílio (kWh mês-1) e o total anual (kWh ano-1). Analisou-se a redução do custo mensal de energia elétrica por domicílio pela substituição de chuveiros elétricos com diferentes potências comerciais por aquecedores solares. Analisaram-se, ainda, a redução da vazão que passa na turbina (m³ s-1) da principal usina hidrelétrica de Goiás e a relação entre a redução da potência total anual (kW) e a potência gerada por essa usina (kW). Procedeu-se, finalmente, à análise econômica, avaliando-se a relação custo/benefício da substituição proposta. Os resultados mostraram redução média mensal da conta de energia de R$ 36,92 e média de 13 meses para o retorno do capital investido. Pôde-se concluir pela viabilidade técnica, econômica e ambiental da substituição dos chuveiros elétricos pelos sistemas aquecedores/reservatórios térmicos.A technical viability analysis on reduction of the electric power consumption by the substitution of electric showers by the adoption of solar heaters and analysis of monthly savings costs for the municipalities of State of Goiás (Brazil) were performed. Using processing of local weather data, aided by the geographical information applicative SPRING, irradiancy values (MJ m-2 year-1) and the number of annual hours of solar shine on earth surface and on the top of the atmosphere, were calculated. Based on census data, the average monthly electric power consumption per household (kWh month-1) and the total one per year (kWh year-1), and the reduction on the monthly cost per household were estimated. Analyzed is also the reduction of flow that passes in turbine (m³ s-1) from the main hydroelectric power plant of State of Goiás and on the relationship between the total annual power (kW) and that one generated by same plant (kW) were predicted. At last, economic analysis of the results for the proposed substitution showed an average monthly diminution of about R$ 36.92 (US$ 17.00) on the energy bill, per household and an average term of 13 months for the return of the invested capital. One concluded by the technical, economical and environmental viability for the substitution of electric showers by thermal heaters/reservoirs systems.

Uma das principais questões referentes à energia solar é como compará-la, técnica e economicamente, com outras fontes de energia, tanto alternativas quanto com as convencionais (como a rede elétrica). O propósito deste trabalho foi desenvolver um programa computacional que reúne os principais dados técnicos e econômicos, para identificar, por meio de métodos de análise microeconômica, a viabilidade comercial no dimensionamento de sistemas fotovoltaicos, além de considerar os benefícios provenientes da própria geração energética. Na análise microeconômica da energia solar, foram identificados os custos da energia proveniente da rede convencional durante o período de vida útil dos componentes do sistema gerador de eletricidade fotovoltaica, pelo estudo dos custos de investimentos iniciais e manutenção do sistema. Para comparação com as fontes convencionais - rede elétrica e grupo diesel - foram usados três cenários de custos de painéis fotovoltaicos e dois para o fator de disponibilidade do grupo diesel. Pelos resultados, verifica-se que, quanto mais baixo o custo dos painéis e mais distante o local situar-se da rede elétrica, o sistema fotovoltaico torna-se a opção mais vantajosa.One of the main referring subjects to the solar energy is how to compare it economically with other sources of energy, as much alternatives as with conventionals (like the electric grid). The purpose of this work was to develop a software which congregates the technical and economic main data to identify, through methods of microeconomic analysis, the commercial viability in the sizing of photovoltaic systems, besides considering the benefits proceeding from the proper energy generation. Considering the period of useful life of the components of the generation system of photovoltaic electricity, the costs of the energy proceeding from the conventional grid had been identified. For the comparison of the conventional sources, electric grid and diesel generation, three scenes of costs of photovoltaic panels and two for the factor of availability of diesel generation had been used. The results have shown that if the cost of the panels is low and the place of installation is more distant of the electric grid, the photovoltaic system becomes the best option.
