The article looks at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Business Instructional Building, which was built according to Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System Platinum standards. The university also commit that all construction or renovation projects to meet carbon neutrality and net-zero energy efficiency standards. Projects include a solar farm, heating and cooling (HVAC) system upgrades, and sustainability education programs.
