Abstract

The article describes the case of a 64-year-old woman with a three-day history of right facial nerve palsy, along with a four-month history of bilateral hearing loss, ear fullness and pain, tinnitus, vertigo, and about 15 kilogram weight loss. Topics discussed include treatment that attenuated the symptoms, findings on medical examination, and differential treatment.

Abstract

The article describes the case of a 74-year old woman diagnosed with granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) and showed multiple cranial nerve manifestations and nasopharyngeal pseudotumor. The patient demonstrated left facial nerve palsy, hypoesthesia, inflammation and swelling at the left nasopharyngreal area, bilateral sensorineural hearing loss, and mass at the left lateral wall of nasopharynx. She was treated with methylprednisone and cyclosphosphamide. Other symptoms of GPA are indicated.
