The transfer of heat due to the emission of electromagnetic waves is called thermal radiations. In local fractional calculus, there are numerous contributions of scientists, like Mandelbrot, who described fractal geometry and its wide range of applications in many scientific fields. Christianto and Rahul gave the derivation of Proca equations on Cantor sets. Hao et al. investigated the Helmholtz and diffusion equations in Cantorian and Cantor-Type Cylindrical Coordinates. Carpinteri and Sapora studied diffusion problems in fractal media in Cantor sets. Zhang et al. studied local fractional wave equations under fixed entropy. In this paper, we are concerned with the exact solutions of wave equations by the help of local fractional Laplace variation iteration method (LFLVIM). This paper deals with the hidden structure of prime numbers. Previous numerical studies have already indicated a fractal-like behavior of prime-indexed primes. The construction of binary images enables us to generalize this result. In fact, two-integer sequences can easily be converted into a two-color image. In particular, the resulting method shows that both the coprimality condition and Ramanujan primes resemble the Minkowski island and Cantor set, respectively. Furthermore, the comparison between prime-indexed primes and Ramanujan primes is introduced and discussed. Thus the Cantor set covers a relevant role in the fractal-like description of prime numbers. The results confirm the feasibility of the method based on binary images. The link between fractal sets and chaotic dynamical systems may allow the characterization of the Hénon map only in terms of prime numbers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this paper, we have modified the Detrended Fluctuation Analysis (DFA) using the ternary Cantor set. We propose a modification of the DFA algorithm, Cantor DFA (CDFA), which uses the Cantor set theory of base 3 as a scale for segment sizes in the DFA algorithm. An investigation of the phenomena generated from the proof using real-world time series based on the theory of the Cantor set is also conducted. This new approach helps reduce the overestimation problem of the Hurst exponent of DFA by comparing it with its inverse relationship with α of the Truncated Lévy Flight (TLF). In this paper, we propose a new type (n + 1)-dimensional reduced differential transform method (RDTM) based on a local fractional derivative (LFD) to solve (n + 1)-dimensional local fractional partial differential equations (PDEs) in Cantor sets. The presented method is named the (n + 1)-dimensional local fractional reduced differential transform method (LFRDTM). First the theories, their proofs and also some basic properties of this procedure are given. To understand the introduced method clearly, we apply it on the (n + 1)-dimensional fractal heat-like equations (HLEs) and wave-like equations (WLEs). In this paper, we study C ζ -calculus on generalized Cantor sets, which have self-similar properties and fractional dimensions that exceed their topological dimensions. Functions with fractal support are not differentiable or integrable in terms of standard calculus, so we must involve local fractional derivatives. We have generalized the C ζ -calculus on the generalized Cantor sets known as middle- ξ Cantor sets. We have suggested a calculus on the middle- ξ Cantor sets for different values of ξ with 0 < ξ < 1 . Differential equations on the middle- ξ Cantor sets have been solved, and we have presented the results using illustrative examples. The propagation of surface plasmon–polaritons is investigated in a metallic, fractal-like structure based on Cantor set. The dynamic of plasmonic modes generating on the Cantor structure is discussed in the context of the setup geometry. The numerically obtained reflection spectra are analyzed with the box-counting method to obtain their dimension, which is shown to be dependent on the geometry of the plasmonic structure. The entropy of the structure is also calculated and shown to be proportional to the dimension. Presented analysis allows for extracting information about fractal plasmonic structure from the reflectance spectrum.
