Proxy signature is one of the important primitives of public-key cryptography and plays an essential role in delivering security services in modern communications. However, existing post quantum proxy signature schemes with larger signature sizes might not be fully practical for some resource-constrained devices (e.g., Internet of Things devices). A signature scheme with message recovery has the characteristic that part or all of the message is embedded in the signature, which can reduce the size of the signature. In this paper, we present a new identity-based proxy signature scheme over an NTRU lattice with message recovery (IB-PSSMR), which is more efficient than the other existing identity-based proxy signature schemes in terms of the size of the signature and the cost of energy. We prove that our scheme is secure under a Short Integer Solution (SIS) assumption that is as hard as approximating several worst-case lattice problems in the random oracle model. We also discussed some application scenarios of IB-PSSMR in blockchain and Internet of Things (IOT). Research on the security of lattice-based public-key encryption schemes against misuse attacks is an important part of the cryptographic assessment of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) post-quantum cryptography (PQC) standardization process. In particular, many NIST-PQC cryptosystems follow the same meta-cryptosystem. At EUROCRYPT 2019, B a ˘ etu et al. mounted a classical key recovery under plaintext checking attacks (KR-PCA) and a quantum key recovery under chosen ciphertext attacks (KR-CCA). They analyzed the security of the weak version of nine submissions to NIST. In this paper, we focus on learning with error (LWE)-based FrodoPKE, whose IND-CPA security is tightly related to the hardness of plain LWE problems. We first review the meta-cryptosystem and quantum algorithm for solving quantum LWE problems. Then, we consider the case where the noise follows a discrete Gaussian distribution and recompute the success probability for quantum LWE by using Hoeffding bound. Finally, we give a quantum key recovery algorithm based on LWE under CCA attack and analyze the security of Frodo. Message authentication is crucial because it encourages participants to accept countermeasures and further transmit messages to legitimate users in a network while maintaining the legitimacy of the identity of network members. An unauthorized user cannot transmit false messages to a given network. Although traditional public key cryptography is suitable for message authentication, it is also easy to manage and generate keys, and, with the expansion of an entire network, the system needs a lot of computing power, which creates additional risks to network security. A more effective method, such as ring signature, can realize this function and guarantee more security. In this paper, we propose an anti-quantum ring signature scheme based on lattice, functionality analysis, and performance evaluation to demonstrate that this scheme supports unconditional anonymity and unforgeability. After efficiency analysis, our scheme proved more effective than the existing ring signature schemes in processing signature generation and verification. The proposed scheme was applied to VANETs that support strong security and unconditional anonymity to vehicles.

Several works have characterized weak instances of the Ring-LWE problem by exploring vulnerabilities arising from the use of algebraic structures. Although these weak instances are not addressed by worst-case hardness theorems, enabling other ring instantiations enlarges the scope of possible applications and favors the diversification of security assumptions. In this work, we extend the Ring-LWE problem in lattice-based cryptography to include algebraic lattices, realized through twisted embeddings. We define the class of problems Twisted Ring-LWE, which replaces the canonical embedding by an extended form. By doing so, we allow the Ring-LWE problem to be used over maximal real subfields of cyclotomic number fields. We prove that Twisted Ring-LWE is secure by providing a security reduction from Ring-LWE to Twisted Ring-LWE in both search and decision forms. It is also shown that the twist factor does not affect the asymptotic approximation factors in the worst-case to average-case reductions. Thus, Twisted Ring-LWE maintains the consolidated hardness guarantee of Ring-LWE and increases the existing scope of algebraic lattices that can be considered for cryptographic applications. Additionally, we expand on the results of Ducas and Durmus (Public-Key Cryptography, 2012) on spherical Gaussian distributions to the proposed class of lattices under certain restrictions. As a result, sampling from a spherical Gaussian distribution can be done directly in the respective number field while maintaining its format and standard deviation when seen in Zn via twisted embeddings.

In this paper, we propose DiLizium: a new lattice-based two-party signature scheme. Our scheme is constructed from a variant of the Crystals-Dilithium post-quantum signature scheme. This allows for more efficient two-party implementation compared with the original but still derives its post-quantum security directly from the Module Learning With Errors and Module Short Integer Solution problems. We discuss our design rationale, describe the protocol in full detail, and provide performance estimates and a comparison with previous schemes. We also provide a security proof for the two-party signature computation protocol against a classical adversary. Extending this proof to a quantum adversary is subject to future studies. However, our scheme is secure against a quantum attacker who has access to just the public key and not the two-party signature creation protocol.
